“Walking into Casablanca Moroccan Kitchens is like finding a hidden gem. It’s on Melrose, but once you’re inside, you feel like you've been transported to a beautiful home in Morocco. The place is decorated so beautifully—all these vibrant colors and rich details that make you feel like you’re on a vacation.
The people who run the place are the best. They are so warm and welcoming, and they make sure you're taken care of from the moment you walk in. It's truly a family feel, and the chef often comes out to say hello, which is a really nice touch.
The food is incredible. They have a set menu that makes ordering so easy because your meal includes appetizers, a salad, and an entrée. The lamb tagine is a must-try. It's so tender it literally falls off the bone and is full of amazing flavor. The chicken pastilla is also a standout—it's this delicious mix of sweet and savory with flaky pastry. The couscous is perfect, light and fluffy, and pairs great with any of the meat dishes.
Now, let's talk about drinks. A great thing about this place is that you can bring your own drinks. Just make sure to ask your server before you set them on the table. And a heads-up on parking: it's street parking only, so you might have to look around for a spot.

For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. The slider I got was a real thin, tough piece of chicken which wasn't very tender and the batter was over done and tasted greasy which was no surprise as it dripped out when I got the carton out and had a hint of a beef taste. The fillet included was just the same but a little bigger but the fries were the saving grace! They were nice a fluffy but the chicken here is terrible and wouldn't visit again. The staff were great but the food was terrible and it didn't even taste like chicken! No wonder they have spice it's to disguise the taste! Anyone trying for the first time I'd recommend getting it with no spice to get what it actually tastes like! Rank and horrible! Will go elsewhere for better quality chicken.“

“We had such a satisfying meal at Wayang Restaurant Halal. Everything was flavorful, generously portioned, and clearly made with care.

The nasi kuning komplit was beautifully presented, with fragrant turmeric rice and a mix of sides that balanced each other well, especially the egg and perkedel, which stood out.

The sambal mercon absolutely lives up to its name: pedas, rich, and addicting. It woke up the palate without overpowering anything and paired perfectly with the rice.

The satay kambing was tender and juicy, with a nice bit of char and a savory-sweet peanut sauce that brought everything together.

The ayam nasi goreng felt like comfort food at its best, well-seasoned chicken and fried rice that had that nostalgic, homestyle flavor.

“Well priced, authentic Thai food! Lams looks like a small hole in the wall, but the food is extraordinarily delicious. I ordered 9 meals for a group of friends and on pick up it was ready on time, packaged beautifully and still very warm. Every meal was perfectly cooked and so tasty. Just an incredible, friendly, quality Thai restaurant. I've been ordering from Lams since before Covid and it never seizes to impress. Do yourself a favor.“
