“This restaurant is like a pearl in a clam in HP neighborhood. They serve delicious Salvadoran food. The restaurant can sit about five tables. It's clean and well lighted. There are two colorful wall paintings depicting life of Salvadorans. The cashier has a cheerful voice which enlightens your day. She's very friendly and knowledgeable.“
“We have had pupusa many times, so I decided to get the camarones al mojo. I was a little hesitant at first because I have never had any other type of Salvadoran food. I made a great choice. The camarones were so delirious. They were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My mom got the pupusas. Great taste and very flavorful. Best pupusas we ever had. Our see Rosie was vey great and tok her time to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be come back here.“
“These pupusas are delicious. They are probably the best in El Sereno. The Lady operating seems to love what she is doing, which is reflected in her food. Each order comes with Curtido (Cabbage Slaw) and Red and Green Salsa . This is my go-to spot when I want pupusas. It may be located in an unconventional place, a Car Shop or a Wash but I recommend it to anyone who needs that Pupusa fix.“
“This was definitely a great dining experience. They treated us well from start to finish. Our waiter was great! He made sure everyone was ready during our time there. The attention to the smallest detail was a truly impressive factor. The food was without a doubt one of the best meals I have ever had“
“A fantastic and lovely family run and owned kitchen making fresh breakfast and lunch food daily. Very popular with the workforce in the area as the food is hearty, healthy and reasonably priced. You will see a steady stream of regular customers throughout the day, which proves its quality. They also have very good coffee, tea and pastries as well as an assortment of fresh juices and aguas frescas. The menu changes each and every day because the food is prepared fresh that morning. But there is always a chicken, beef and vegetable dish available. Also a nice assortment of sandwiches. I recommend the chicken salad on a french baguette.Vegetarian options: always a selection of vegetable dishes such as roasted vegetables, soups, rice and beans as well as regular salads and prepared picnic salads like pasta salad, cucumber salad and potato salad.Parking: 30 minute on street parking right in front plus a sizable lot next door.“
“Love this place! Everyone is so friendly and they work hard to make sure you have a great dining experience. Very homey feeling as well! The food is delicious and I like to come here for my lunch break. They have an awesome deal on Wednesdays for Pupusas! Highly recommend :) . The two women that work here are so incredible and kind!“
“I love the food from here! I've tried their soups, seafood, chicken plates, and of course the pupusas. Everything here is really tasty and satisfying. The workers here are really friendly and welcoming as well. It's also really clean inside. The accept card but with a small, reasonable service charge. If you don't mind, cool. If you do, bring cash.“
“AMAZING! The pupusas were thick and juicy. I'm not picky about my pupusas so this hit the spot. A great meal after shopping at Flower District! The large Horchata was sooo good.. you know it's good when the straw barely fits the cup! The ladies here are so attentive and helpful! Very spacious, looks like it'd be good for an every day spot. They take Apple Pay!! Open until 1:30AM, but last kitchen call is at 12AM!!!! Home styled restaurant, family owned. Very limited English- support local business!!“
“Good service, I like the pupusas here. Their spicy salsa it's delicious.I would like to be served with real eating utensils, not plastic! Also the TV it's too loud.Vegetarian options: There's dishes without meat like chiles rellenos.Parking: Plenty of parking in this plaza“
“It’s an amazing little place , we came to have lunch there, visiting from Florida. We ordered tacos, burrito , plate of liver stake and off curse the pupusas !Everything was delicious and fresh. The staff is so nice and welcoming , very homy and cozy atmosphere .The cheese pupusa is the bomb!Thank you! Very recommended , defiantly will come back.P.s. didn't take pictures of everything just the pupusa, we were hungry lol.“
“We enjoy eating pupusa very much it's our favorite Salvadoran dishes of course there's others great Salvadoran dishes we also enjoy. Our favorite Salvadoran restaurant was closed then we decided to go our other favorite Salvadoran restaurant it just near our house. We know ever Salvadoran restaurants makes their pupusas different from other Salvadoran restaurants because of the taste and the ingredients and also region of El Salvador they came from.We decided order some pupusa to go but the restaurant was very busy people dining in and take out we waiting a wait to get our meal. Our meal was real then we took it home we were surprised how big the pupusa were. Other Salvadoran restaurants make their pupusa small or medium size. It also come wirh tomatoe sauce and shredded gabbage mixed. The Pupusa was big and very cheesy then I add the tomato sauce and Cabbage mixed combine together tasted so good great flavors I can't stop eating I enjoy eating pupusa even my wife enjoy it also . Next we need to try other Salvadoran cuisine.“
“The place is small but it is nice at night time. Me and my friend got there like around 9:30 PM it was almost empty but within a few minutes people started to come in and the atmosphere changed and It got better.i really liked it. it was nice try it .“
“Nothing but great variety of delicious food!!! The pupusas are a personal favorite! Service, the flavor that overtakes each plate, attention to client it's overall a great place and would recommend new commers to try this delicious food!!“
“My family was in the mood for Central American food and after a quick google search I found this small hole in the wall restaurant.Glad I came here the food was delicious. The pepperoni popusas were bomb and cheesy (a lot of places skimp out on the cheese not here) . The garnachas were also good an order gets you 8!!!. Good bang for your buck. Will be coming back for breakfast.“
“First time here. Wife and kid love the pupusa had the cheese, revuelta, chicharrón and queso con frijol. There waters are good especially the ensalada recommend. The gentleman in the counter was really helpful and gave good recommendations. Will be back….Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp for wheel chairs…“
“Great tasting pupusas. Place is clean and welcoming. Their portions are big without sacrificing quality. Stuff is professional and always ready to assist if you have questions. Food is always spot on and you get free coffee during mornings hours.Vegetarian options: Rice beans fried plantains. Empanadas de frijoles.“
“(Translated by Google) I have visited this place and I really like it very good service I like to go for breakfast the food is very good ?(Original)He visitado este lugar y me gusta mucho muy buen cervicio me gusta hir a desayunar la comida muy buena ?“
“I come here regularly now to order their pupusas and ensalada drink since they're so addicting!!! However, now they're serving fresh baked bread... from pan dulce, pan de muerto, pan guatemalteco, pan salvadoreño like quesadillas and so much more baked goods!“
“I don't live in the valley but I have ordered pupusas to go and they are always delicious. The service is fast and friendly. I recommend this spot whenever I'm asked for a good pupusas spot. Keep an eye out for their mid week specials, just don't eat too many pupusas or your heart will hate you?“
“My whole family loves Honey Bee's!! The pancakes are outstanding. From the morning breakfast special to the Salvadoran breakfast special with the casamiento(beans & rice) leaves you very happy. The service is special here, real cool peeps! Parking available.“
“La Mañanera was so delicious, definitely recommend the Salvi-Mexican combo. Looked like the restaurant is expanding, and unfortunately does not have a restroom. Note there is a 45 minute wait for the Mamasota! So we didn't order it...“
“Saw this place in the way to work and thought I'd try it. Friendly staff, clean, and a very cute little spot. Tried the chilaquiles it was delicious but I wish it came with rice and beans. Next time I'll have to request it. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“
“Best tamales in LA. This family owned business really takes quality seriously and they also have excellent costumer service. We enjoyed almost all the tamale flavors and several items as well, including the vegan flan and the tacos. Would high recommend!“
“The boyfriend and I decided to try this new thing where we randomly pick a spot to eat without looking at yelp first. We saw this hole in the wall restaurant and decided to just walk in blindly not knowing what they serve. We asked the woman who worked there what was good to eat but there was a language barrier so we used google translate. She recommended the pupusa revueltas and the pasteles de pollo and we also placed an order for salmon. Everything tasted amazing and clean. The pasteles de pollo had a nice fry to it! We are both not a fan of beans but the beans were good! We would definitely go back again.“
“I've never been there at night but it still gets good. I go to breakfast often and I love the re-vamp they have done. The menu has a new look even the workers are more professional. I really like the pupusas at this restaurant. 10/10 I recommend Bon appetit!“
“First time here, parking was a bit crowded inside the plaza. The restaurant was a small place with limited tables and seats. When you enter it does have a nice native home ambiance. Customer service was great with great prices on their food. I decided to get 3 pupusas, two revueltas and one con queso y chicharon. Food was freshly made which was perfect for this cold weather. The only thing that I had a lil problem with was that they didn't give enough condiments for my three pupusas. I should of asked for extra but not sure if that would be additional $$. But overall the experience was great. Will come back againParking: Parking might be a little difficult to find depending on the time you arrive.“
“A friend of mine brings me breakfast from here all the time. They do a breakfast sandwich that is so delicious. It's scrambled eggs with chorizo, beans, sour cream and a harder saltier cheese on sweet bread. It is a to die for breakfast sandwich. Their quesadillas (not the Mexican kind, the Salvadoran kind) are the best I've ever had. They also have a pineapple filled cream cheese muffin that's out of this world. Whenever my friend brings me breakfast from this place, it's just a better day. It makes me happy. Highly recommend.“
“The food is amazing here! The pupusas got better as well. The service is a bit slow but the food quality makes up for it. However, they just hired a man to sing mariachi and the music is bad quality and really loud. It really hurt my ears and many people were complaining . You can’t even talk to the people in your own table without having to shout. He sings good but it’s way too loud and annoying. We were finally able to enjoy the food and company when he took a break from singing“
“My favorite place to get pupusa in the USC area! the value is GREAT here for such big servings, and the free chips and salsa in the beginning are a great addition to a delicious meal. The tamale is also solid, please give this place a try if you're in the area!“
“A friend brought me here today to try the rice pupusas, they were one of the best I've ever tried! The waitress was very attentive, and its a very cozy place. This is now my second favorite salvadoran restaurant, and highly recommend it!“
“One of my favorite pupusa spots in Los Angeles. The women who own/run the restaurant are very humble, my family and friends always give me great remarks when I bring these to pot lucks. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot, the bean and cheese pupusa is very delicious!“
“The food here is extremely good. I had the empanadas and pupusas and both were top notch. Worth a trip!Parking: Medium sized lot at the location plus easy neighborhood parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from the parking lot up to the door. Tables all have chairs that can be easily moved.“
“This place is a hidden gem! First time trying out their liver with sautéed onions with veggies and rice and let me tell you it was worth it, I also ordered their signature Salvadorean dish Chicarrón pupusas with red spicy tomato sauce and pickled cabbage curtido and they were one of the best combos I've ever had.“
“I like the food and service but they need to modernize the place. It looks run down like a whole in the wall. The paint color at Adams is horrendous. It’s like walking into the 1980’s but in a bad way. The Venice spot got a paint job so it looks far better.“
“The Pupusas were delicious not greasy at all. They taste freshly made. The horchata was also very good. I was impressed, andI don't mind waiting when i know that the food is freshly made! I would come back if we find ourselves in that area again. The service was also good.“
“After the old El Salvador restaurant I use to go to went out of business I had to find a new one. I tried a few places and I didn't like it, luckily I found El Trebol. Food is amazing, it's always fresh! I have read a couple reviews in which they say the food took a long time to come out and all I have to say about that is DUH! Food here is fresh and made to order. The pupusas are some of the best I've had! Anytime I'm feeling under the weather I get the sopa de gallina india which is salvi version of chicken noodle soup without the noodles and a lot more veggies. This place is great do yourself a favor and check it out!“
“So yummy! My parents are Guatemalan and used to take me to a lot of central American restaurants growing up. So glad I came across this restaurant. I ordered the Salvadorean breakfast and it reminded me of what I grew up eating at home. So worth it!P.s. they only take cash!“
“Born and grew up around here and still come back. The quesadillas are flat out the best ones in LA. The other pan that my Tias and mother want here are always bomb: Peperichas, Maria louisas ( I have no clue if im spelling them right) etc etc. Obviously im Salvy and everytime I need that fix or im sent for pan, I come here! Nothing comes close. Fyi the I read the reviews on other yelpers you don't come here for donuts or tamales, you come here for pan. Nevertheless, if you want to sample authentic Salvy bread you come here. Salud!“
“This location is a charming family restaurant. Reminded me of eating at mi Tia's house. The service was attentive and fast. When we arrived, the place was packed! But they allowed us to order before we sat. The food arrived only little after we were sat, so it was perfect! We ordered 2 breakfast plates, a loroco pupusa, and fruit salad drink. We liked everything, especially the pupusa. The cheese pull was wonderful, loaded with cheese! And the cheese and curtido had great flavor. I like my tomato sauce a little spicier than this but I know salvis don't always like it like that. The pupusas and tortias were not heavy and doughy like other places. Will definitely be back to try the caldos and more pupusas.“
“Stopped here for dinner on a whim. The food was delicious, cooked to order, and very fresh. Definitely give them a try, just don't expect any bells and whistles. It's a hole in the wall with great flavor. I ordered 2 different pupusas and a Chile Relleno - all 3 were delicious.“
“Bomb! My mom and i just ate here and we absolutely loved it! Big tree covering the front and you could hardly see it but the inside was fresh in this 90+ weather. I loved that both mine and my moms plate had a little of everything - all together, very filling and very very yummy! I got the Desayuno el Mañanero! My plate had eggs cooked just how i asked, chorizo that came in links and wasn't greasy at all! The fried plantains, also werent greasy, big +!! The casamiento, queso fresco they used and creme, wasnt salty at all, which i prefer! Again, overall, super yummy! We got the ensalada drink, also delicious. Friendly mother and son staff. Will definitely be coming back!“
“Ever since I discovered how great their Salvadoran tamales were about 2 years ago by accident, I have been obsessed ever since. These are not the typical Mexican corn husk wrapped tamales . These are moist, tasty, and yummy pockets of goodness. Please do call ahead to verify if they are in stock.“
“The food is really delicious, especially the Pupusas.. 5 stars.. Now the lady who serves, although she looks serious, I prefer it that way rather than pretending to do something that they don't feel and well in the end you go for the food ?.. blessings“
“I enjoy the steak sandwich. It's like a Latin Hoagie. Flavorful and the bread is lightly toasted so you get a slight crunch in every bite. If you're into hot subs, Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. This sandwich doesn't disappoint.“
“Was open on Christmas Day which was spectacular and a life saver! Our waitress was very nice and even though she spoke limited English I got to practice my Spanish so that was coolWe got this botanic dish that had steak, shrimp and chickenIt was pretty good but not going to lie a bit dry and wish it had some sort of salsa or sauceShe did bring over a hot sauce with it but it was crazy spicy, I love cholula/tapatio and those kinds of sauces and this one was way more spicy than thoseSo my food was sadly a bit blandBut the drinks were cool, I like how she rimmed my beer cup without tajin without having to ask herAnd my bf got this fruit drink that had a bunch of cut up fruit in it and it was super refreshing and yummy!Parking: Small parking lot behind building but also plenty of street and neighborhood parking“
“Carne Asada 8/10- very nice portion size. they had beans, rice, lettuce, onions (amazing), some vegetables and the carnePupusa (10/10)- the chicken was amazing!! So flavorful. Also got the steak and regular and they were so so amazing. It came with some sort of tomato base soup which tasted so delicious and some fermented vegetables. The wait was a little long, 25 min, but you know it’s real then.10/10 would eat here again. Thank you“
“This review is based off of a Uber eats review and it’s probably way better in dining.I had their eggs with plantanes, chicharron pupusa, beef soup and cheeseburger with fries. The eggs were delicious and the plantanes were ok. The pupusa was pretty good and the soup was also good with a solid broth. The cheeseburger was also descent and fries were about average.I’d definitely order here again and I’m gonna try this spot in person because so think it’s way better in dining.“
“Ya gotta order correctly, but this place has some great burritos, tacos, and pupusas.Asada - solid!Chicken - Nice and not greasy!Conchinita Pibil - their specialty and very good! All the burritos have great distribution of ingredients. Tasty rice. It's not as big as you dream it will be, but it's hearty and you'll be glad it wasn't enormous when you finish it.They will do a chili relleno burrito. Their vegetarian burrito is also solid.Skip their soup. Also, not a seafood spot.Don't sleep on their amazing habañero salsa - they sell it by the jar too.Vegetarian options: Great veggie burrito“
“What a surprise I had today, a good one. I found this place by chance and decided to give it a try and the truth is that I do not regret it. I ordered a chile relleno which was delicious, perhaps one of the best in terms of flavor I've ever tasted. Prepared at the moment, of a good size, the spectacular red sauce, the meat, not to mention; also the tortillas. I recommend this place and I will definitely come back.“
“I was just here for the Food..It's Soo Good. " Mojarra Frita" and Horchata.. Was Delish!! The Server Was very Kind & Pleasing. I got no complaints..been coming here and Most of the Time I use Postmates & UberEats..They don't Fail . They're always Fast efficient.. and Food Always Fresh Hot and Tasty.Love it. GRACIAS El SaBrositos“
