“Beautiful spot to get coffee in the morning in Graeagle. The women working was lovely and we chatted to her while she was making our coffee. They had a wide variety of milks and different types of drinks. The only con is the shop is small, only 2 people can stand and wait inside at a time. You can walk around the pond located nearby while you sip your coffee! It’s a lovely experience.”
“Fun place to spend a evening playing pool and meeting new people. Everyone is so friendly and the bartender is wonderful ! A must if you are staying for a week or a weekend . Fun times !!!”
“What a hidden gem. This place reminds me of a campground for adults. Music, campfire and great wine and beer. Now, this is not a restaurant, so make sure to eat first and / or bring something special to cook on the outside BBQ.Wheelchair accessibility: Sure”
“Pleasant staff, good service, well prepared varied enough options with outdoor dining available and almost it’s impossible to not have a view in Graeagle so we are very pleased to have dined here this morning breakfast.”
“Great bar and a true place to sip the flavor of the town. If your as lucky as we were you'll meet local legend Garlic Greg. Although he made no claims he's somthing like the unofficial mayor of the area everyone seemed to know him and he helped me and my wife out to our car ( knee surgery and a couple margaritas). A true local hero! Rob the bartender was also great between the two of them we were able to learn so much more about this awesome small town. Look forward to seeing them both again and their great margaritas!”
“We got married at Twenty Mile House this past July, and visited Graeagle for their wedding fair in April. In total, we probably ate here about 5 times and have nothing but great things to say. It has a very local feel and you feel like family, even just having gone there once. Their food is great, plenty of seating, outdoor space is nice. We had large groups and small and they were always more than accommodating. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Graeagle!”
“The food was high quality, very flavorful, and tasty! Restaurant was well-kept, very clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly! We’ve been back several times and will continue to support a great restaurant.”
“The Brewing Lair is a fun outdoor hang out and brewery nestled off CA-70. They host a regular rotation of ales and IPA (tending on the hoppy side mostly but I'd really enjoy seeing some experimentation). The barkeeps are pretty chill and perhaps most impressive are the wares in the gift hut like the handmade growlers and mugs. Awesome items for the trip home! There's a good amount of outdoor space perfect for a warm afternoon in the sun or shade. An open grassy area is complimented with a music stage frequently hosting a range of talent from across the West Coast. They have disc golf course surrounding the grounds though it can be challenging to locate through the bushes.”
“I first came here 3 years ago, and visited for the second time today. Had a delicious meal and excellent service both times. It's hard to find good food in this part of the Sierras, and this place is definitely a gem.”
“The Iron Door Restaurant not only excels in its culinary offerings but also in its commitment to providing a memorable dining experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensures that guests feel welcomed and well cared for throughout their visit, adding an extra touch of hospitality to the already outstanding food!”
“An absolute must if you’re in the area. This restaurant has a stellar wine list, delicious food, and amazing service. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the staff made it so very special for them. Would absolutely come back!”
“Server Taylor was fantastic! Food was good...$30 steak that came with French fries in a basket thing was a bit odd as the steak was looking lonely being the only item on the plate lol. Drinks were good. The Bavarian pretzel was missing the Bavarian part....so we will try something different next time. Glad to have it as an option in an area with few choices.”
“This place is hidden on the Chalet View grounds, so don't hesitate to ask for directions in the hotel lobby. Also, if you see a "closed for private party" sign and the parking lot is fairly empty, I'd still stop in and see if the brewery is open. When we were there they had that sign posted but the event wasn't for two more days. Also, when we visited they only had one Eureka Peak beer on tap and the rest were from other breweries. So really this is a beer bar and restaurant and not a brewery tasting room.”
“Been coming here for years during winter after snowmobiling. They take pride in their food and it's better than most bar and grills. Would give 5 stars but they have limited days they are open during winter.”
“Millie's was a big part of our incredible stay in Graeagle! Each day Mrs. Peggy made us a delicious sugar-free vanilla latte and was incredibly welcoming. She gave us great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. Knowing we were not from the area she encouraged us to watch out for black ice without being condescending since we were there right after Christmas. Her homemade chocolates traveled home very well. My wife remarked how beautiful they were and my kids said it was the best peanut butter cup they had ever tasted. My family loves Graeagle. We plan to be back and will definitely stop by Millie's again!”
