“This is a hidden gem in the valley. From the outside I did not expect the interior to look so nice and Japanese style.

The sushi omakase was so tasty with different cuts of fish like toro, salmon belly and more. Each one had garnishes like chili oil, yuzu, fresh wasabi, etc. The presentation is stunning. The other items we ordered were also so fresh and tasty like the Toro toast, negitoro mini bowl, and shishito peppers.

“This location has a great staff, they work well together and the food tastes hot and fresh. But the negatives are that it's difficult to find parking when the lot is full. It's a very busy location with many eateries and shops. Plus this store is small. They were busy and it felt very cramped. Also there aren't many tables for seniors or the disabled. There are only two available. The rest of the tables are too high and have stools. Not good for someone with bad knees, like myself.“

She was so pleasant, helpful and upbeat that I had to look around and make sure I was still in LA/North Valley. That girl has a future above and beyond Teriyaki Madness. The guy at the front counter might seem a little serious at first, but once you’ve been there a few times you realize he’s actually a cool guy who always makes sure your order’s right before you leave. “I came to this mom and pop restaurant on a Saturday night with no expectations and boy was I BLOWN AWAY. I absolutely loved it. The couple that own the place were super sweet and helpful in helping me decide what to get. I got the bulgogi bowl (first time ever having one) and it was one of the best dishes that I’ve ever had. I’ll dream about that meal! My husband ordered the chicken Katsu bowl. He also really enjoyed it. He is no on the veggies ( rice and protein, sauce) and I am always trying to keep it low carb. The chef was willing to customized kindly with no rice. There are tofu options. There are options for many food lifestyles. Delicious and robust with freshness and flavor!“

“Hole in the wall teriyaki place. You order at the counter, you pick up your food, you clean up your own table after eating. Easy free parking lot or street parking. They have a lunch special for $11.95 that includes chicken and rice with salad. They also have specials A, B, C and D that are around the $15 to $20 price range. I had the special C that had white rice, a big piece of chicken katsu, two pieces of chicken teriyaki, salad, two small onion rings and two dumplings for about $15.95. Not a bad value. You get a teriyaki sauce and hot sauce on the side. Their teriyaki sauce is very good here! The serving is very generous. I was not about to finish it in one sitting.“

“I genuinely don’t understand why this place doesn’t have more stars. I absolutely loved my food. Everything was so flavorful and fresh.

I ordered the large chicken breast plate with fried rice and it was honestly perfect. The chicken breast was cooked just right, juicy and tender, not dry at all. The vegetables were seasoned really well and the fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

Even my mom, who is an extremely picky eater and usually prefers home cooked meals, loved it. That alone says a lot.

“Awesome place. My family ate three of Korean-style BBQ-ribs, pork, beef. All of them were very delicious and Korean style taste. Moderate salty food. Steamed rice was very good. My kids liked and enjoyed all of them. Recommend who looking for nice Korean dishes. The price is also reasonable.“

“Checked out Waba Grill for the first time since the pandemic. Always thought the food was slightly above average, never disappointed at all really. So today I popped in (April 12, 2021). I noticed that they finally have indoor seating, limited to 20 guests at a time. The tables are spaced out a considerable distance. I decided on the sweet and spicy chicken bowl with veggies and white rice. Total after tax was $9.19. I guess that's fair, as the bowl is pretty decently sized.On to the food: The chicken was really good. A great combination of sweet and heat (4/10 on the spicy scale. Anyone who likes spicy stuff should find it satisfying, though it's not super hot, which is a good thing). The veggies are steamed or blanched - can't tell. Either way, they're crispy while still being cooked. I liked them a lot.All in all, come stop by if you're craving a decent rice bowl. Nice flavor, well put together, maybe a bit more expensive than it should be but not too bad! Recommended!“
