“Grabbed a salad from here a few days ago! The Shroomami was very tasty! This is a perfect place for people with dietary restrictions. I'm not usually a salad person but I really enjoyed this. The service was quick and helpful with my difficult dietary needs (I'm vegan and I was getting one for a friend who has a soy and nut allergy). The place is comfortable and spacious!“

“Quick meal the day before with little “brioche” stuffed with cheese and ham, experience repeated the next morning for breakfast. Coffees with its top almond milk variant, it's a change from the usual American coffees. Delicious coconut pastry. “Acai” bowl very good but I would have appreciated it being noted that it was a “smoothie sorbet”, not translated into English. Not ideal for the morning. The fruit salads served to the neighbor were tempting.Brazilian cuisine to try. Refined and tastefully decorated.“

“i’ve been to a number of indian/nepalese restaurants and let me tell you, this one is easily my favorite.we live over an hour away, but whenever we’re in the marin area for hikes, this is our go to spot.paneer tikka masala is my favorite meal so i get it everytime and it. is. AMAZING. absolutely phenomenal and blows me away everytime i get it. (they also sell their tikka sauce and we got that to go, incredible).we’ve also tried their veggie and chicken momo’s (amazing), chicken tikka masala, and Kukhura Pharsi. all of it was very delicious and we highly recommend. also, their garlic and cilantro naan is to DIE for. yum.their staff are super nice and friendly. they joke around and make the experience memorable and fun.over all, this place is a hit and if you’re in the area, you need to come here! we will be back!edit: BACK AGAIN - and it’s still AMAZING!!!!Vegetarian options: tons of veggie and vegan options“

“San Rafael Location…My husband and I were in SF on business. We travel often on business and whenever possible we look to try a local Puerto Rican restaurant, especially because we only have one back home and it’s ok.I’m from Puerto Rico, ?? I L❤️VE Puerto Rican food! The food at Sol Food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Don’t recommend the mofongo, however, everything else was REALLY good! It was our first t experience with shared, “community seating” and it was very nice, great vibe, music and very friendly staff! We did have to stand in line for a few minutes but Sofie came out to greet us, handed us menus and went over the menu with us. Super friendly and professional! My husband ordered half chicken combo and I ordered the steak combo which both included rice & beans, tostones and a nice salad! We added a side of avocado, plus I ordered their chicken soup and also, cafe con leche! Everything was delicious!!! They have a unique menu they don’t serve empanadas, pastelillos or any of the typical fried appetizers. They also have a take out only side next door with a small market. Very smart business model.1 hour drive from San Francisco to San Rafael was definitely worth it! We will definitely be back! Special thank you to Sophie for her warm hospitality!??top notch!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Friendly, family atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, easy wheelchair access.“

“Wonderful place!! We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday at 10:30 and got seated right away despite it being very busy. I had the rainbow omelette which was perfectly cooked and packed with fresh ingredients. My husband just had a bowl of potatoes which were better that the hash browns I ordered. The services was exceptional as well. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.“

“Came here all the time with my dad when I was a kid and we lived on Leavenworth. Haven't been here since I was in elementary school and it's just as good as I remember it.Italian combo on dutch crunch with everything was incredible. The large was enough for two meals but I walked here from my office on Market street and was real hungry.Owner was super nice and it was a perfect weather to eat outside. Will come here again with my kids to show them a SF staple.“

“If you find yourself looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, come here! My dad has been coming here for awhile and I was in town visiting him so we we went to grab some brunch. Located just a little ways from fisherman's wharf it's a quick walk to get here. Ambiance and service: We were greeted by David the owner and his son Darren and chose to sit inside. They've got some seating inside and some outside for when the weather is nice. Everything is nice and clean and you can see into the kitchen so you know the food is made fresh to order. Our order was taken quickly and food came out quickly! Food: Their menu ranges from classic American breakfast, Chinese and Vietnamese food, and sandwiches. I ordered pho and a Vietnamese coffee and my dad ordered french toast with eggs and bacon. I've had a lot of pho in different parts of the US so I'm picky about my pho and this is hands down one of the most flavorful pho broths I've ever had. Good size portion with all the regular pho fixings. My dad always orders one of two things: french toast or chicken fried steak and according to him, both are delicious but I had the pleasure of of trying the french toast this time. It was cooked to perfection and not overdone in the batter or flavors. Overall, I'm glad I got to eat here. From the service, to the food, I enjoyed every bit of it. I can't wait to bring friends here and enjoy more meals with my dad!“

“We stopped here to get ice cream the other day, and we're very glad we did. The flavors were really excellent, especially the salted caramel, which I think may have only been a temporary flavor. (My girlfriend remarked that it was one of the best ice cream flavors she had ever had.) The prices were quite low, we thought, and the servings very large: A double in a waffle cup was definitely more ice cream than I needed, but I'm not complaining. There are some slight disadvantages of this shop. For example, they won't do normal cups for a single or double scoop, only for a pint or quart, and so you either have to get a waffle cup, which I don't really value, or a metal cup, which means you can't leave. Also, they don't have compostable spoons or anything like that, only offering metal ones, which again means if you're eating from a bowl and don't have your own spoon, you need to stay put. This wasn't the worst thing in the world, because the shop is on a nice town strip with some benches outside, but in a rush it is a bit less convenient than I would like. Also, the store doesn't offer samples, and so you don't really get to try your flavor in advance, but thankfully all the flavors we tried were pretty good. The storefront is also pretty small, and so I can imagine it getting quite busy if a bunch of people go at once, although that wasn't the case for us. All in all, this was a very good ice cream shop, and we definitely recommend it to other people. Try the salted caramel if you can!“

“This is one of our favorite local spots to din. Soo is warm, friendly and a very talented chef! Erich is also warm, knows the incredible wine selection and has a welcome sense of humor. We love eating on the patio in any season. You will not be disappointed! A personal favorite of mine are the fish tacos!! It's a lovely stroll down San Anselmo Ave on a warm summer night. If you drive, it's easy to park. Try it! You won't be disappointed.“

“Great dinner, great old atmosphere. Food was on point, our server was very attentive. The bad part was one of the employees was loaded with cologne, it was disgusting, so overwhelming I could taste it in my food it was so powerful. How could no fellow worker not tip the guy up?“

“I’m a huge Ice Cream fan, dairy preferably! But dang this Ice Cream can compete with some of the best dairy ice creams I’ve ever had. I don’t get the other reviews about how disappointing size or that it isn’t dairy. This is sustainable, extremely well made ice cream by a fully female staffed company (i was told). Highly recommended.“

“TLDR: It's the most reliable fish and chip store. I've tried this place at various times in a more than 5 year span and it has always been good. Can and will always recommend. Fish: Batter isn't too thick, and the fish has a flaky solid bite. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with seasoning that won't overpower the mouth. Shrimp: The same solid battering with the same seasoning profile. Shrimp was not overcooked and it provides a different texture compared to the fish. Fries: Fries are fries. It's nothing special, but they didn't mess it up. Clam Chowder: Rich, creamy, loaded with seafood, and it can surprisingly compete with the better clam chowders around town. Service: It's a food truck. You order, you pay, and you get your food. It's not hard to mess it up. Ambiance: The picnic benches under the umbrellas around the truck isn't bad given the San Francisco climate. The tables are sometimes sticky though because they're probably not wiped as much.“

“This place is awesome! Amazing view of the water (even on a cloudy day because you're so close), the guac was so incredibly fresh and delicious. I had the shrimp tacos which blew me away, they were so tasty! And the 2 tacos dish is plenty of food. Beware the salsas they give you for the chips can be spicy so don't douse too much onto your food without taste testing first!! Love this spot, definitely coming back.“

“If you want a hole in the wall sushi place, this is your place! I forgot I had this saved as it was the only legit looking sushi place close to my hotel, and I walked by it thinking “ahh, that looks like it’d be a good place.” Lo and behold, it was a place I had looked at before coming to SF. Our group had the chef special role, some nigiri, shrimp, and miso soup. I’m not usually a fan of miso, and this was really good for me, like I’d get it again. We plan on going back if we have time!“
