“Used love this place and would come here often. Their fish 🐟 tacos 🌮 are delicious 😋 but it seems they have changed a bit.
The quality was definitely better before, maybe a different cook? Not sure. They're still good but not as they used to be. Service is always good, the staff are friendly and attentive. I've had their campechana and it's so good! Definitely recommended as well as their tostadas de camarón and pescado“

I got a combo plate and unlike other Japanese restaurants I actually got beef that was properly cooked. After seeing the portions of the sushi rolls I will try those out next time because they were giant. Will definitely return.“

“Very authentic and delicious Sichuan restaurant. The sauerkraut fish is their specialty and definitely worth trying. The portions are quite big, we were able to share the single sauerkraut fish dish between two people. You order on your phone and they bring out the food, and all of the utensils and napkins are in a little drawer at your table. Very clean interior and the staff are always ready to assist when needed. They also have fortune sticks which are fun.“

“This place is the best! I’ve had the bacon ranch fries from here for pickup and through uber eats. The employees are so kind and the the service is great. The portion for the price is pretty good. Also it tastes amazing! They offer so much variety and their desserts sound amazing.

My wife and I get cheviche with good portions. Kids got tacos and burritos. The food was very good. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is usually full. Would get more stars really, which affects their service. No parking or place to eat makes us sometimes come back another time when there is enough space. They do have fast service.“

“It’s a good locally owned spot in a nondescript area of a strip mall, the dining area inside is a bit small but it has an outdoor dining area. The combos are of good value and the seafood is fresh and tasty. Service is fast and the guy who mans the joint is pretty cool.“

The salad was fresh and tasty. Those words don't come from me very often. The fries were quite good, and I didn't hate the fried zucchini. When we ordered the entrees, they came with two sides. The seafood caldon especal was full of flavor, perfectly spices even though it has jalapeño in it bring back a sense of being on the beach. The Capechana was high quality and the delicious. The chef not only an excellent cook but took part of the service. The Michelada base alone is memorable and wanted to buy a gallon of it. The waitress was professional but needs to elevate her service skills, one attention to the client was very slow, there was no effort to explain the menu, little initiative to attend out table.“

“Outside dining or indoor sports bar like atmosphere. It's a nice little place near uptown Whittier. Fried Basa combined with the butter sauce was extremely delicious. Nothing beats a beer and fish n chips. Lobster taco wasnt really the type of lobster i expected, but i mainly came for the fish n chips“

I've been here twice and have tried the fresh shrimp and tofu spring rolls with terrific accompanying sauce, flavorful chicken fried rice, shrimp pho with delicious broth, and the lovely Lychee fruit tea! Yum! Totally coming here again... and bringing more friends. Mangosteen has a clean, modern atmosphere, primarily indoors with a couple of outdoor tables. Friendly and helpful customer service.“

I ordered for 2 people, 1000 year pork, crispy fried shrimp, stir fried clams with ginger sauce and Kung Pao scallops. The 1000 year pork was a little chewy, normally it should melt in your mouth. The ginger clams and scallops had no flavor at all, we had to spice it up ourselves. It tasted like it was just boiled in water. The steam rice was soggy and looks like it’s been steamed way too long. The only thing I enjoyed was my hot tea. The waiter never checked on us at his own. We had to whistle him down. Maybe their food and services at night is a better hit. All I know is that I had good dining experience with them in the past. But today. It really sucked!“
