“This is take out only. No seating even for wait. The Catfish was good crispy hot seasoned well especially for a person with high blood pressure. My 2nd time here 1st time too hungry to care or pay attention. Entire meal good except fries were barely warm.

“Walked in and got a pizza and side of BBQ wings as a take-out order (you can order at the bar). Waited no longer than 15 minutes. Service was friendly. Food was enough for 2 people. Pizza was great and the BBQ wings were the best I've had in Downtown Torrance.“

Though it is not your modern izakaya nor fine-dining luxury, it firmly facets itself as the "OG" restaurant in the diverse Japanese dining scene. Immediately upon entering, I observed details of its classic entity by old decos of art, calligraphy, signs, photos, and handwritten notes. It was an ambiance that exuded warmth. I immediately felt the history and dedication woven into the fabric of this place. The owners have crafted not merely a restaurant but a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer nuances of Japanese culture and cuisine. I opted for the sushi combo course. Each piece of sushi was a testament to the chef's mastery over his craft, with every ingredient shining through in a delicate balance of flavors and textures with a properly curated course. All the nigiri boasted freshness in a blend of tastes that was above satisfactory by the plate. But what truly sets Sushi Anza apart is the heart and soul poured into every aspect of the dining experience. “My husband and I just ate here tonight and it was excellent! We had the best service ever with a Server/Supervisor named Juan! He has a very vibrant and very positive outlook. His parents should be very proud of him! This man is going to go far in life! And the food was also very delicious! My husband had the fish and fries. I had 1 pound of shrimp with Kickin’ sauce, medium style with a side of rice and corn. We left feeling great! I wish the very best to Juan and his endeavors. Thank you.“

“One of the only fish places that actually gives you a whole piece of fish not one piece cut up into three pieces. And the FOOD IS TASTY AND GOOD. “I think most restaurants use some kind of inexpensive fish with the thought that once it's breaded and fried, no one will care. But the Slow Bell's haddock was thick, moist, and cooked just right. The fries were so good bare that I felt guilty using ketchup.“

I sometimes travel from downtown LA on the train and take one bus just to eat here … “ it’s that good “ staff are very friendly which is a big plus . “I really enjoy my dinner at King Fish House. I wasn’t sure when I got there. We made reservations and the hostess decided to place my husband and I on the bar side. With sports and games on. I don’t know why she thought that’s was a good idea since we both was dress for dinner and not to watch a game on tv. I made reservations for a good dinner table. Maybe she didn’t like the mix race situation. But I seated myself. With respect to her. It all turn out very nice. Our waitress and food was amazing. Will definitely go back. Bad attitude hostess is not a factor.“
