The Downey location is always packed so I was happy to see a new location closer to me and hope I'd like it. My chile relleno burrito did not disappoint! I recently tried one at a different restaurant and felt the relleno was pointless and was not impressed. Fatima's burrito changed my perspective on that and the chile relleno with all the cheese was life! 4/5 only thing I wish they had was a good spicy/hot salsa to pair with it. I snagged the roasted hot jalapeno off my friends Chicken Kabob plate. Chicken 4/5 was good, juicy & flavor able but the rice 2/5 I was not a fan of. Tried the Birria Taco 3/5 they are generous with the meat because it came in 2 tortillas I was able to make 2 tacos out of the 1 and share it. The fish taco here was not to our liking. I do look forward to returning and trying other menu items. Also had good service.“

This is the only place I have eaten lentil soup that didn't have tomato (I am allergic). It is hearty and the flavor is "just right"! Second is their appetizer sampler. We recently tried the three humus trio, buffalo cauliflower, Brussel sprouts that are cartelized, and falafel. Honestly, they are all equally as good! Plus the dish comes with a generous portion of warm pita and a. mini-salad.Next - the kabobs! The seafood / salmon kabob is cooked to perfection. The chicken one is very popular, as well. I frankly found them yummy for a bite or two but wanted to save room for other dishes.The falafel sandwich is absolutely the yummiest! Al Hamra has most of the classic favorites. Lots of the good stuff like falafel, hummus, tabbouli, and more. The platters are big and are a lot of food for an okay price. A pretty small place but they have a lot on the menu, and it's better than it looks to be honest. It's not pretty from the outside but it's clean inside. There's the counter to order at, and there's just a few tables. Most people call in orders and get it to go. We were already there so we ate there. It's about $14 for the platters. These are big and come with lots of stuff. I got the Falafel Plate. This comes with hummus, rice, and salad. Good falafel. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ones like these are best. Then I used the pitas to make sandwiches out of these. Convenient place after getting off the shuttle a few blocks from here. It's pretty quick and simple. There's great choices like the falafel for vegans and vegetarians.“

The food was great, the cashier or the cook did mess up on my order though.. I asked for spicy potatoes instead of a salad because I don't eat the salad and she gave me the salad we had a whole discussion of the sides too so I could choose something that wasn't a salad! Aside from that the shrimps had great flavor. The salmon was plain but paired with the bell peppers it was pretty good. ALSO the salmon had bones, almost chocked a few times, beware. Hummus had a little spicy kick to it. The garlic butter was tasty per usual. Got a cookie, because they looked good and they said they were freshly baked. Cookie was good, had Kristy edges. My friend got a raspberry cheesecake she said it was entirely too sweet. I recommend overall, the cashier or the cook not sure who dropped the ball just needs to pay a bit more attention.“
