“Such an awesome place to try! I passed it plenty of times on mission but I couldn't miss the large sign they have. The one downside is you hear the cars passing by constantly. Not everyone's cup o' tea but they make up for it with their food. It's gourmet. I had a cheeseburger with fries and my fiance had the chilli fries and I can't remember the burger he had. Fries are thicker than the thin fast food fries, which I liked. Food came out hot.
Menu is next to the order window in large print and clear pricing. Looking at the menu does not disturb those who are ready to order. I believe there is a veggie burger so it can cater to veggetarians? I'd double chech their menu just to be sure it is there. There are 2 tables nearby to wait for your orders to be done. Ammicable service! We ate our food in the car.“

“This is my first time to this location. I went with my wife and our daughter on the bus. It is in a great location that is easily accessible by bus. The route 99 bus through ac transit goes to the far corner of the intersection. It is less then half a block to the bus stop in either direction. Inside it is clean, not too busy and the staff are very polite. I would highly recommend this location. Even at dinner time it was not packed like other locations.“

Finally, I had some extra time on my way home, so I stopped in and ordered some food. Very old fashioned establishment that reminded me of a Foster's Freeze. They have plenty of options for food and desserts. I went with the quarter pound bacon cheeseburger and spicy fries. The food came out piping hot and delicious! The price was a little more than I was expecting as the burger, fries, and a drink ran me about $20! I should've grabbed pics of the menu since most of the featured ones are pretty old. I saw a few people eating these ice cream cones that had a mountain of soft serve coming out the top! Definitely need to try one next time. The burger and toppings were super fresh and well cooked. I would've liked my bun toasted a little more. The bacon had a great texture and tasted amazing, not that floppy, thin, tasteless stuff that some burger joints use. The spicy fries were potato wedges with a sort of cajun seasoning that gave them a very slight spice. They were crispy but also pillowy and delicious!Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. “At the suggestion of a friend, who grew up here, I decided to drive to Hayward, CA and try a burger place called Val's Burgers. They've been in business since 1958, but like many small Mom & Pop places, Covid restrictions has them almost down and out. They no longer have any dine-in options and will only accept cash.

I spoke with George, the 2nd Generation owner (Val's son) and his daughter. They both had a sad aura about them. Like they're witnessing the last dying breath of a cherished loved one. It broke my heart. Such nice people being run out of business by greedy heartless politicians.

My friend was right, it was the best burger and fries I have had in a very long time. If you're in the area, support these very nice people and have possibly the best burger you've ever eaten.“

“I meet up with a good friend of mine. We try to meet for breakfast every Friday mornings. Ihop has a wide verity of breakfasts to choose from. They have a great senior's menu. Because we are regular customers they treat us like family. You order your food and in about ten minutes they bring it to you, nice and hot. Very reasonable prices. The staff who work there, are kind, curtious. and very friendly.“
