“Some of the reviews written here are kind of weird — lol. Winton Deli is a typical no-frills corporate deli in the industrial zone. It’s like stepping back in time to the late 1980s decor-wise, dim lighting, basically no thought toward the visuals except basics. So, no one hangs out, they usually order and go. Lots of tables though, and prob a good place to have a meeting (minus the lady vacuuming your feet at 1:30). But it’s right next to my job and by the Hayward regional shoreline park. And the veggie sandwiches are INSANELY GOOD. The sourdough bread is PERFECT. You can have a conversation about Food with the Asian cashier guy, who I thought was a nice guy and enjoy having a good conversation on the merits of each sandwich. When it comes to veggie sandwiches it is PERFECT. I don’t know about that roast beef sandwich, but I PLAN my time to include this deli’s veggie pesto sandwich whenever I hike or bike at the park, as well as work lunch. It is that good !!! I’ll order one to go, too. It’s THAT hole in the wall. Go. Don’t go to boring Starbucks, go here. You must try to experience the contrast in amazing food and awful interior. There should be a movie made about this deli. It is just so Bay Area.
Vegetarian options: It’s GOOD
Parking: Tons“

“In a desert wasteland of business parks and manufacturing, this is an oasis. Is everything perfect? No. But they make the sandwiches quick, they aren't expensive (its 2024 people, you aren't getting a sandwich for $5...), and the couple times I've been, it was fresh and as described.
With appropriate expectations, this fits the bill for a quick, easy, basic lunch option.
Vegetarian options: There are some veggie sandwiches but not a ton of options; this is a meat deli mostly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible“

“My old pal Limney Gilbert got kicked in the mouth by one of Bucktoothed Mary's horses a month ago, and he's had his mouth wired shut since then. This morning they cut the wires! He asked me to bring him a ham sandwich and chips from the Joaquin Deli because he's been drinking all his meals from a straw, and he's ready to chew! It's my first time at the Joaquin Deli and I'll tell you what...it's clean, the ingredients are fresh as can be and the prices are right where they should be! The workers put the customers first, and not because the boss told them too, they do it as if they owned the place! Very refreshing in today's world! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“
