“Stopped in after an errand on an early weekday evening. Forgotten how much I enjoy being there. Above all, a wonderful, welcoming staff. Sat in the bar area at a table, the gentleman bartender is just so outgoing & friendly, wait staff is great too. A nice happy hour menu, but ordered off the regular menu with a glass of great wine.

Only callout to management. You have a great vibe with awesome staff. Upgrade your menu for customers who want more for dinner, than what everyone else on Main St serves: burgers, tacos, fried options. Your food quality & presentation is great, just don’t be content with “bar food”. You are sandwiched between multiple bars, sushi & Mexican food and nowhere on the street is there a nice, casual mid priced venue. You can do better on the menu & also add some more premium wines by the glass. The neighborhood will appreciate it.“

“This is a great place for a date whether you're vegan or not. The sushi is pretty decent, and there are plenty of options. I'd recommend getting a reservation in advance as it can get busy during certain evenings, and it doesn't have the most seating.“

“One of all favorites branch place in Redondo Beach area, they close at 2 PM. We love their hot and fresh food after order doesn’t take more than 15 minutes. Parking is a little hassle, but it’s still worth it. If you go 2/3 blocks away, you can easily find parking. Before you go, make sure to get in the line from yelp otherwise you have to wait in the line. Service is excellent.“

At first they were really nice and reactive but then they just disappeared and ignored my messages ! I asked them 3 times to answer me but nothing….. I have never seen that in the US ! Really disappointing. And their answer on Google made it just worse. Although the shop is amazing, I won’t go anymore.“

“If you’re a first timer like me, you might be doubtful entering the store just like my experience as it’s not like the door was open or you could peek through from outside. Nonetheless that’s probably the way you knew it’s legit as the store didn’t even come in gorgeous presentation or whatsoever. Just simple showcases and an attendant, with cash-only payment.

Nothing looked fancy, but abundant options of both mochi and manju. If you’re not familiar, prolly simplest way to differentiate is mochi comes in chewy texture while manju is more soft bread-alike. The filling they offered varied from red bean, white bean, even black one! I got their Kinako Mochi filled with black bean and covered in soy bean powder. One bite and WOW IT WAS BOMB! So good and totally cured my craving for the ones I had in Japan. I could totally tell the quality was stellar and it’s fully stuffed with luscious filling making the price tag paid certainly worth.“

“Cara Mia catered my mother-in-law's memorial service beautifully and on quite short notice. The owner was so incredibly kind and helped us pick out the right things to feed 30+ people, was super responsive via email, and even met us in person when we picked up our order to offer her heartfelt condolences. They went above and beyond to help make this difficult day easier and we were blown away not only by their compassion, but the quality of their baked goods! The memorial guests devoured everything and many of them remarked to us how great the food was :) I can't recommend Cara Mia enough and hope to visit again under happier circumstances. Mimi is a warm, consummate professional who can handle anything, events-wise, and the space is versatile for any kind of casual and convivial gathering. This place is one of my favorite “third spaces” for working when I need a change of environment from the home office (there are tables that overlook the pool), painting (I’m a huge fan of the paint and sip classes) or just hanging out. Neighbors can consider it a great resource for meals and snacks off the beach (and anytime), entertaining for occasions and even just to grab a bottle of wine or party-food supplies for friends who drop by. “Wow so freaking good!! Genuinely the best bowl I’ve ever had. I got the mixed grilled chicken bowl with lemon thyme sauce while my boyfriend got the same but with the chipotle sauce. Both were great! Pretty cute they wrote a little thank you note on the take out box too:)

If I were to complain about anything it would be to add a little more protein portion to eat bowl. Otherwise I highly recommend this place!“
