“Great qualities of meat selection and a bunch of other types of excellent qualities of food. Definitely a place to go to celebrate and for special occasions. The beef, especially the galbi, the shrimp, takoyaki, and everything is fantastic. We can grab most of the food and the premium food came out very fast. Will definitely come back.“

“Love this place! The food is very authentic and high quality meat. The servers are also very tentative. We ordered the small beef combo. The soup at the end is very tasty but we are way too full. It can serve at least 3-4 ppl. Def recommended!“

“There were a lot of reviews saying the service was bad, expensive, etc., so I was wondering whether to come or not, but when I came, I tried the meat and it was delicious.
It's not expensive, the soybean paste stew and steamed egg are very delicious, and the cold noodles are highly recommended!! ?“

“Had to get my Squid Game fix before Season 3 drops, and what better way than trying the same grilled intestines that Lee Byung-hun’s character would approve of! 😆
Before we even ordered our mains, I was absolutely HOOKED on the honey-glazed pumpkin banchan (side dish). I’m not even kidding - I went through FIVE plates of this stuff and couldn’t stop myself. I’m officially declaring that KingChang has the best banchan game in LA’s Korean food scene! 🥇
The beef intestine set was absolutely incredible! The combination of caramelized onions + melted cheese was pure genius. Picture this: perfectly grilled, crispy-edged intestines dipped in gooey cheese with those sweet caramelized onions on top. Each bite was so good it felt like I had anime sparkles and dramatic background music playing (if you know, you know 😉). This is basically the Korean BBQ version of In-N-Out’s Animal Style, and I am HERE for it!
The intestines were grilled to perfection - crispy exterior with that perfect chew, no weird smell or texture that sometimes puts people off. The cheese wasn’t overpowering, just the right amount of richness to complement the meat.
Big bonus - they’re open until 2AM, making this the perfect late-night spot when you’re craving some serious Korean comfort food after a night out. Finally, a place that understands LA’s night owl culture!“

“The smell of fire is amazing. The raw meat is fresh. Even though I had leftovers, I wrapped them up and ate them slightly warmed the next day, they still tasted fresh. However, if you don't get there early and get a seat, you may have to wait a long time.“

“The best AYCE Korean bbq restaurant. Meat quality is top-notch. They grill the meat for you but still allow you to enjoy the food at your own speed. I tried almost every meat and my favorite is the marinated beef rib with bone. It melted in my mouth. I love it and will come back.👍🏻“

“The meat quality here was absolutely outstanding, and the service was impressively fast. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional, but I have to give special recognition to Royce, who took care of our table. He grilled the meat to absolute perfection and made our experience even more enjoyable with his thoughtful and friendly conversations.
If you plan to visit, I highly recommend asking for a table in Royce’s section—you won’t be disappointed. His explanations and recommendations were by far the best I’ve experienced in any restaurant during my time living in the U.S.
For full transparency, we have no personal connection to him. We simply walked in on Mother’s Day without any expectations and left completely satisfied thanks to the exceptional service.
All the meats, including the tripe, were incredibly fresh—definitely not frozen—and grilled to perfection. We had such a wonderful experience here and will gladly return.“

“Excellent KBBQ spot. We got the porkya and it was so delicious. The wagyu was a stand out, as well as the pork belly, and kimchi fried rice. There is plenty of food for 2-3 people with the smaller portion. Loved all the sides and the atmosphere is really great. Highly recommend this spot!“

“WOW! Came here last minute since other Korean BBQ spots were closed and thank god they were. This place was absolutely amazing! The staff was so attentive the whole time and they kept checking on us. When we asked for something extra like cucumbers they brought it within seconds. PLEASE come here! They deserve so much more praise because it’s a bang for your buck. Thank you so much to the staff!“

“My kids and I wanted to try Genwa on a random Saturday night. We had a great meal. The circle of banchan dishes were delicious and the cuts of beef that we ordered were all very high quality. Our server was top notch. Very attentive, relaxed and friendly when he was at our table and responsive. We enjoyed our dining experience at Genwa and plan to return soon. “We had the most incredible dining experience at Cheong Wun BBQ Buffet Restaurant! From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warm smiles and unparalleled hospitality. The cozy, vintage vibe of the place immediately made us feel at home.
The food selection was absolutely top-notch—every bite was a journey through authentic Korean flavors. The marinated beef, spicy chicken wings, and tender ribs were simply divine, and the banchan (side dishes) added an exquisite balance to the meal. The highlight? The attentive staff not only served us but also helped grill the meats to perfection, offering tips on how to enjoy the full burst of flavors with lettuce wraps, bean paste, and other condiments. The seaweed soup at the end was the perfect comforting finish!
Service here is beyond exceptional. The staff, especially the kind ajumma, treated us like family, making sure our table was never empty and that we had everything we needed. It’s clear they take pride in every aspect of the experience they provide.
Although the parking is a bit limited, it’s a minor trade-off for what you get. Cheong Wun BBQ is a hidden gem and a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Korean BBQ with outstanding service and unbeatable value. We will absolutely be back, and we can’t recommend this place highly enough!“

“An unassuming storefront but their meats and banchan were top-notch. We had the prime sirloin steak. It was substantial, super tender, and very tasty. Also tried their famous marinated pork ribs, which were perfectly seasoned, with a balanced sweetness to bring out the flavour of the meat… don’t forget to dip it in the sesame oil and sea salt!
The service was excellent. Our server was very kind, efficient and made sure we had all that we needed while she helped us grill our meats with a practiced hand. The banchan was fresh, with crunchy seasoned vegetables that held their flavour and vibrancy. My personal favourites were the pickled white onions and marinated beansprouts. Authentic and on-point.
On top of that, we came on New Year’s Eve and they were accommodating, patient and made it an occasion to remember with the best KBBQ we’ve had, ever. Quality we appreciated.
Parking is valet at $4 as of NYE 2024.

“I was so excited to enjoy the DTLA AYCE KBBQ and it was my first time to visit this place without going to KTOWN! Honestly, I was attracted by its snacks through yelp pictures. Off course, its price is another attraction since it is only $26.95 for all day no matter weekend or weekdays. If I only want some good quality meat to enjoy at night, I might just take the $26.95 level. However, I took the highest-level $39.95 per person since it has more choices of meat including a limited order of rib eye steak and unlimited delicious snacks and sides.
When we sat down, they provide us a house salad, macaroni and spicy tomato chip. They did not provide kimchi like other KBBQ no matter what level. I ordered fried calamari, rose ddukbokki, miso soup, seafood ramen, steamed egg and corn cheese as my snacks while I waited for the meat. Highly recommend ROSE DDUKBOKKI and CORN CHEESE especially the rose ddukbokki. It was hard to decried its sauce, um, like a rich, creamy spicy tomato sauce with butter. It contains sausage, rice cake, bacon and sheet jelly?(I guessed). Anyway, both my partner and me agreed it is delicious. Corn cheese is not only corn with cheese. We could felt that the restaurant add some favor inside and it is tasty. Other snacks are good too but not outstanding as rose ddukbokki. I was so sad that I could not order other snacks such as cup ramen fried rice, kimchi jjigae, Korean fried chicken bites etc.. I was too full to enjoy other snacks.
For meat, I highly recommend its rib eye steak that was soft and juicy. Also, their beef belly series are outstanding. I could feel the fat melt in my mouth and the beef belly was fresh(sometimes in other AYCE KBBQ, I could feel the beef belly was not that fresh and the taste was odd). Pork jowl was thick cut!!! It was al dente and tender. Trust me, I thought it is better than pork belly (its price should be higher than pork belly in supermarket). Beef brisket was tasty too but I would mix it with beef belly since I thought it was not tender enough. Rib finger and LA galbi were common and not as my expectation. However, I highly suggest the owner of DTLA KBBQ add beef tongue into the menu. I was a little sad that the menu does not contain beef tongue for the highest-level.
Its environment is special and the whole restaurant inside is hallway. Natural draft makes so little greasy dirt. I did not feel hot even without air conditioner. It has TVs in front of tables and I think it is a nice place to enjoy sport game night with friends. Its employees are nice but busy. Btw, street parking is $4 per hour, and nearby there is a parking lot shows $15. At the end of the meal, we can choose one ice cream per person as happy ending lol.
All in all, I will come again but next time I might take the $26.95 level since I think this level is good enough to enjoy most of meat under a lower price.“

“Han Korean BBQ House is a hidden gem. For under $40 a person you’re getting great quality all-you-can-eat food.
Some things to note:
* Surprisingly high-quality sushi included; better and fresher than some sushi spots.
* Meat was incredibly fresh and tasted great .
* For our party of 3, they changed the grill grates four times during the time we were there! This is a huge plus because unlike other places that leave you with charred grease from reusing the same grates over and over, this place actually replaces it consistently.
A must-visit for top-notch Korean BBQ, great service, and incredible value. I will definitely visit again. 5/5.“

“Amazing experience. My mum and I went today and we were not disappointed. It’s a little more expensive than a regular AYCE spot but the price difference is certainly made up for by the quality of meat and the service- 10000% worth it . I shall most definitely be back. Our server Jarek was amazing and gave us some great recommendations . Thank you !“

“Definitely a bit of a hole-in-the-wall—not the nicest or cleanest place, but the food is delicious and very affordable. It used to be $13.99 for all-you-can-eat before the pandemic, and you didn’t have to pay upfront, which was nice. Be prepared for a long wait to be seated, but the staff is friendly and attentive, which makes up for it.“

“We have been coming to J BBQ for quiet sometime now. This place has always have great taste. However, after the whole quarantine and the place was reopen again, I can tell you that it has change, to the absolute better!!
The prices have increased but so has the variety of meats ? of each menu.
We love it here!
We Def recommend it 100%!
We came to celebrate my mother's bday and she Looooved it! They sang for her, they took a picture for us and it was truly a great evening. Delicious meats, the servers are attentive and kind. Customer service is 10/10.
We will definitely be back soon.
Thank you J BBQ for taking care of us. ❤️
Parking: The parking is in the back of the restaurant on James and wood street, the cost of the valet $3. I believe the prices may change but so far that is the cost.“

“Yummy food!! The pork & beef meat they offer is marinated in different sauces, so it was really flavorful and juicy. Service was quick and to the point. Had a great time creating and cooking my own portions, I will definitely be back. I highly recommend ❤️“
“Wow, I think the ribs here are the best compared to Suwon Galbi. It's delicious. I ordered two people, but it's such a shame that I got half a portion. There are a lot of strange people in the reviews. It must be difficult to do business. It says lettuce on the menu, but they ask for it as a service. Anyway, one man and one woman each ordered ribs, and it was half a portion. Yes, there are a lot of sheep.“

“On the campus of USC, I visited a place called Kobunga. This place is not vegan, however it had MANY vegan options. The only thing that was not vegan was the meats. I had the Soft Tofu w/ Spicy Garlic Soy Sauce, 1/2 Brown Rice, 1/2 Japchae Noodles, Cucumber Kimchi Pickles & the Sautéed Corn. At first y’all, I saw that tofu and was like ehh but once I mixed the sauce and everything together it didn’t look too bad. When I took my first bite, I didn’t expect an explosion of flavors to dance all over my tongue naa. As this being my very 1st time EVER trying Korean styled food, I am well impressed. The customer service was just as pleasant as the food. My Overall Meal was a 10/10. Overall Experience 10/10. I recommend while visiting Los Angeles! Tell em Multiiee sent you when you go!!“

“Food was fantastic, honestly, some of the best I've ever had (and I've had PLENTY of Korean food since moving to SoCal in 2019). Ambiance was really good too. Super chill place to eat at. 10/10. “Everything good but the service, maybe teach your employees that it’s not proper to complain about the tip, especially when the server in question seem to be out of it and didn’t want to be there in the first place. Tip is optional not mandatory. What a great way to prevent the experience from being a 5 stars… too bad.“

“My daughter and her boyfriend first introduced us to this place; we assume its more of a mom and pop Korean BBQ; we go here now for all our family celebrations/birthdays; usually a short wait , side dishes are good, meat portions are generous (they don’t nickle and dime you like some places), and service is usually pretty good - they will occasionally stop by to flip your meats or help cut when they are not too busy. We gladly drove the extra 40 minutes rather than wait in line somewhere else for 1-2 hours. They don’t have a large capacity for seating, and we selfishly hope the crowds stay away but of course want the best for their little restaurant. There is a large parking lot with a security guard and a great coffee shop next door for the road.“

“Date night here was so perfect! We loved grilling together, and making our own tacos was adorable and fun. The atmosphere was vibey, with music not too loud, so we could still chat. The staff was sweet, checking in without being too much. Prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the meat. We both left full and happy.. Such a cute spot.“
