“I haven’t had so much good food in years. I’m so happy we found this place. Food was flavorful and fresh. I loved the garlic chicken and the chicken chow mein was great. I honestly enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and the fried rice, basically everything I tried and I’m fussy when it comes to food. I’ll be back soon!“

“Stopped in here yesterday after seeing this pop up online, and I'm glad I did! This might just be my new favorite sushi joint. The restaurant is super clean and has plenty of space, and I was greeted immediately upon walking in (I sat this because that's not always the case!). I ordered the garlic edamame and the Hughson Huskies roll. Both were delicious, but the roll itself was FIRE! It had a lot of flavor and was huge. I could barely finish it! My server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast. I'll definitely be back!“

“Garlic chicken and chicken wonton soup (I get mine plain without bok choy) and chicken fried rice (no egg for me I am allergic) and the green beans (yes they are spicy) but I mix them in with the rice and chicke! They're fantastic with all my modifications due to picky eaters and allergies.“

We usually get takeout because it's just nicer to eat at home and the dining room is fairly dated, plus it's only open for lunch since the pandemic. You can get a large variety of dishes, including veggies as well. Recommend this business to anyone who likes Chinese food.“

“We have been looking for good Chinese food since the Beijing closed in Modesto and have found it at Grand Asia. The atmosphere is charming with plenty of comfortable booths. The waitress was a lot of fun and was happy to explain some of the ingredients we were unfamilir with. Best of all, the food was excellent, piping hot and served very quickly. The ingredients were fresh and really good quality. We enjoyed honey walnut shrimp, their house specialty combo of kung pao chicken, and combo chow mein. Our praise to the chef! Grand Asia is our new favorite Chinese restaurant.“

“Appetisers here are amazing, especially the fried prawns. Portion sizes are also very generous. Chow mein has that delicious wok-char flavour, so tasty! Sweet & sour pork was a little too sweet for my liking but still yummy. Unfortunately the roast duck was way over cooked and very dry. Golden China beef a bit tasteless and beef was a bit stringy/gristly.“

“Everything is fresh and I love that we get to build our own bowls to make our meal exactly how we like it. They recently changed ownership and now have excellent customer service and one of the best parts is that they're open until Midnight (except Sunday's is 9pm)“

Wonton soup is the best when you are feeling under the weather. It's a cure-all. Well, it arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. So much flavor! “Fat Wong's has the best Chinese food in Modesto. We have been customers since they opened in 1991 they are very polite, and their food is always delicious. Five stars I give him more if I could. Thank you for your good service“

“This place is so good and clean! The prices you can't beat. Best chinese in east side Modesto. Its def a hole in the wall restaurant but that's the best kind of restaurants in my humble opinion. Garlic chicken and pork chow mein highly recommended. I just wished they had like a homemade chili sauce that would be epic! Thank you ?

“Sonora location. Tried when first opened and few weeks ago. It was clean (new) and great service. Re-visited yesterday and totally the opposite! Counter was dirty, all food was low. It was 4 o’clock and not busy. The cook, other gentleman and waitress was very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cook, yes while wearing gloves, continued to touch dirty services and our food. At one point he had his cell phone in his hand looking at it while cooking our food. Phone back in dirty pocket, touching his hair then back to cooking our food! The conversation between the three of them were load and unprofessional. I was so ready to leave! Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.“

“we eat there often since we found the buffet a year ago. The girls in there are very on spot. They refill your drinks and wagon when you leave, they vacuum the tables, wipe the tables and the chairs off. It is so clean. The food is delicious.“

“Went yesterday afternoon. Everything was great. I tried to tip them and they said they don’t do tips so please comment. So here I am, very friendly service, great food & service. On top of that their prices are such that elderly population can enjoy great food for a fair price, as it has been for some time unlike every other takeout place. Hadn’t been in a while and we are so happy and relieved we can still afford an incredible meal that lasts us 2 days. Thank you and your staff.

“I absolutely love going here. The amount of food you get for the price is like a steal and it tastes so good. I am always getting comments that the food smells so good from my coworkers. The lady at the counter is so nice. She always calls me when my food is done. Today I got lost due to google maps taking me the wrong way and when I called she gave me directions and was very adamant about finding me to give me my food. I don’t even get leftovers because my daughter finishes it off when I get home. Favorite food to get for lunch.“
