“Great food. Funnel cakes. Churros. All fire. They have everything fresh and fresh made. Their ingridients are high quality from mexico. Very good. I tried the churros two days back to back couldn't get enough because it tasted so healthy. Not so sugary even tho it has strawberry syrup and lechera and all that surgery stuff. It was great. You can asd has fruits like Mango,strawberries,blueberries,banana to your churros and funnel cakes and ice cream as well all delicious . I would recommend anyone trying to hit a churro spot that taste like organic right here. Fire. It's not vegan tho. It just fesh products with less processing stuff really top notch high quality. “recommended to me — I wasn’t disappointed. There was a bit of a line when I arrived, but it moved quickly and the staff were helpful, even with all the hustle. The ordering process was super easy, and the space felt clean and welcoming.

The cookies themselves? Genuinely excellent. Big, warm, and packed with flavour — definitely lived up to the hype. I tried a couple of the weekly specials and would’ve gone back again if I’d had more time in Downey.

“This shop has so many yummy items. Some are snacks from Thailand while others they make fresh in house. I can't get enough of the bbq pork skewers that they put out around lunch time. Another favor is the coconut jelly. There are a lot of desserts I'm not familiar with so I like trying them all. Nothing disappoints if you're a fan of coconut.“

“I absolutely love coming here for funnel cakes! My favorite is the Strawberry Sundae, with fresh strawberries and a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream on top—it is just heavenly. The portions are large, so I usually share with friends since it is hard to finish alone. Next time, I am excited to try one of the chocolate options.

The staff is always kind, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Parking can be a little tricky at times, yet the amazing treats make it worth the small effort. “Cute dessert spot that feels reminiscent of classic HK/TW dessert shops. We came on a Saturday night and were seated right away—no wait. It’s largely a self-service experience (ordering straight from the menu and servers are basically just runners).

Prices are a little on the high side, but kudos to them for delivering dishes that actually look like the photos. Therefore, there are plenty of Instagram-worthy items for those looking for that! Good experience, but not necessarily a repeatable one.

(For taste, I do recommend the mango/grape dessert - though that’s not as unique as the other items).“

I tried the mango coconut jelly and the mango pomelo sago and both were a mild sweetness that was not overwhelming making it easy to enjoy the entire dessert from start to finish. Nonetheless that’s probably the way you knew it’s legit as the store didn’t even come in gorgeous presentation or whatsoever. Just simple showcases and an attendant, with cash-only payment.

Nothing looked fancy, but abundant options of both mochi and manju. If you’re not familiar, prolly simplest way to differentiate is mochi comes in chewy texture while manju is more soft bread-alike. The filling they offered varied from red bean, white bean, even black one! I got their Kinako Mochi filled with black bean and covered in soy bean powder. One bite and WOW IT WAS BOMB! So good and totally cured my craving for the ones I had in Japan. I could totally tell the quality was stellar and it’s fully stuffed with luscious filling making the price tag paid certainly worth.“

“I was impressed how one girl delivered exceptional service on such a busy Sunday. Very swiftly yet calm and helpful to indecisive customers. I had the dulce de leche first and it was amazing and the freddo expresso transported me back to Greece. Not everone gets it on point. I had to go back for more after my lunch and I got a little creative and created my own and was glad to see that someone else was there to assist the young girl out.“

“If you’re looking for a delicious matcha yuzu lemonade you have to try theirs. It’s not on the menu so you have to ask the baristas if they can make it. Whenever I go to coffee shops that have yuzu lemonade I always ask if they can add matcha to it. Anko’s is the best!!! Their matcha actually blends with the lemonade. It doesn’t taste weird and gritty. I would also absolutely recommend their taiyaki is also really nice and crispy and not too sweet!“

“First time here and did an improv trip down to try their wide matcha selection! From different matcha drink flavors to soft serve ice cream, there was a lot! I opt to try their OG stuff first so I went with their level 3 matcha latte in oat milk and their parfait to make my trip worth it! It didn’t disappoint me. It didn’t taste water down matcha that you’ll get at other stores that make matcha. But it’s not as rich tasting ask rok or maru coffee’s matcha to my preference. Overall still hit 10/10! “been here several times, best bingsu spot in the greater area. always get the mango (best when summer season for peak ripeness). thought the cinnamon toast was alright, the flavors without syrup can't really compete though. the chocolate crepe cake was also okay, though for the price you should just get bingsu.“

I usually want to dress up my overnight oats and found that just oats and almond milk overnight then I add the Kind Dessert granola just before eating and it’s absolutely delicious!!!

And their macadamia almond butter on a slice of toasted French bread is to die for!!!“

“Not only adorable, but tasty too!!! I accidentally came across Sweet Box only because I wanted to walk off my lunch and the mall was an air conditioned place to do it. So I was wandering with no destination in mind and I come across the Sweet Box kiosk. So freaking cute!!! This place is NOT cheap and being that the macarons were so cute, I figured they only looked good but didn't hold much weight in the flavor department. I was wrong. I enjoy macarons on rare occasions because they are usually too sweet. However, Sweet Box did a great job with the balance of sweetness, chewiness, and presentation. I would definitely recommend this place to others. After bringing them home and trying them, I was thinking of who's bday was coming up so I could buy them some. Out of the dozen I bought, the Earl Grey was my favorite. The Strawberry was good as well as it had a real fruit flavor to it. Piece of advise. Don't let them sit in your car or in a warm area as the filling will melt. I learned the hard way. I still ate all of them though. The service was good but I did feel a little rushed. I didn't understand why being that there was no one in line but I did feel rushed. She wasn't rude but she kept looking over her shoulder like she had something else to get to.“

“Beard Papa’s in Cerritos is hands down one of my favorite dessert spots. After years of always driving out to the one in Gardena and finding out there is a Cerritos location local to me I had to stop on by and it did NOT disappoint. The cream puff was made fresh to order, so the shell was perfectly light with a pleasant crunch, with different fillings you can choose from and if you're a fan of lighter cream you can definitely ask for 1 pump instead!

They also had a great selection of other flavors, which made it hard to choose. The classic vanilla custard is always a safe go-to—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The chocolate custard was deep and not overly sweet, and the matcha had a nice earthy flavor that wasn’t bitter at all. I also love that you can choose different shells, like the original, or chocolate flavors and other seasonal flavors (Our personal favorite is the Strawberry and the Monster Hunter Wilds Cola flavor collab!)

The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a line, and the store was clean and well organized. You can tell they take pride in making everything fresh because nothing tasted soggy or rushed. Beard Papa’s does an awesome job with seasonal flavors and collabs, and the Cerritos location consistently delivers, it really drives home the same great flavor as the same Beard Papa's back in Japan!

If you’re a dessert fan or just want something different, this place is 100% worth stopping by. Whether you're there to get a set for yourself or a pack of 6 to share, it's a great sweet treat gift to bring to parties! I’ll definitely be back for future collabs and flavors.“
