“The food is always good at a decent price compared to other places around town. It's a bit small in the inside, only a few tables and parking is terrible but I still make it a point to go there often.”

“I am new to IB and am just so impressed with Katy's Cafe! They are busy (so you know they're good!), but they get your order out quick. The staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating! I had my dog and daughter and they could obviously tell that I had my hands full and brought my order outside to me without me even asking. I have definitely found my go to local coffee shop!”

“My family (with 3+ kids) loves sushi and know good sushi when we eat it. We've been coming to Meijo for 15 years. Just stopped in again and had a delightful meal. Everything was fresh and delicious. All ingredients as they should be. Fish was colorful and artfully arranged (Rainbow!). Great vegetable tempura.

Staff was prompt and friendly and courteous. We called ahead to order but then dined-in and they were ready for us.

This is a family friendly venue. No need to dress up. I ate there with my parents who struggle to hear and it was not too loud -- we were able to talk.

Decor is not modern but don't be put off, it's great food and great service.

Vegetarian options: I'm not a strict vegetarian but there are vegetarian options on the menu that don't include fish.

Parking: Adjacent to a strip mall. Friday night there were plenty of spaces to park.

Kid-friendliness: Bring the children! Sushi is fun and it's a great environment for them.”

“Love this local gem. Food is consistently delicious and fresh. I have yet to dine in, but the establishment is very clean and there appears to be seating for roughly 40. The workers are kind and friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable, which is a plus.”

“I've been a fan of Briantine fish tacos for years- primarily at the Del Mar location (outside of Fair and Racing seasons, lol). I was meeting friends for lunch: one who lives in Imperial Beach 1 Bay Park- me in Carlsbad. It is a smaller location than Del Mar- but right across the street from the IB plexi surfboard sculpture, the beach and the Ocean. I had a passionfruit spicy margarita. We made a rsvp for noon and sat on the patio out front. The wait staff was great, the food was great, and it was not too warm. Since I live and work around North County- I often pass by IB on my way to the Border and CBX and think about how I used to visit often- because I was a chamber rep for my organization at the time. Last Friday the space and this old school beach city reminded me of summers as a teen. It even smelled like summer. I totally enjoyed everything about the lunch ! As is my habit- I totally forgot to take pics of the food and drink- but trust me- it was perfect!”

“Always a great place for food after a long day at the beach. I grew up on Bean and Cheese burritos from here but also really enjoy the Machaca Torta, Rolled Tacos with Guacamole, and Supreme Carne Asada Fries for sharing”

“I DO recommend Pizza Port, however their pizza is not consistent. You can definitely tell if they are busy or not, the quality goes down. A few weeks ago the pizza was delicious, beautiful even (I wish I would have taken a picture) lol. Today, not so much , picture included. I will continue to eat here just hoping the pizza becomes more consistent”

“Ordering was different. Had never been before so we guessed our way to where we were supposed to order. Placed our order and sat to wait for food.
We ordered Hawaiian Chorizo Tacos and some chips and salsa. Both were excellent!! Will for sure be returning.”

“After Gustave had catered an event at our preschool for the second time, he invited my colleagues and I to come by his new location in downtown, and we did! He served us personally and recommended just the right menu items for our preferences (vegetarian, spicy, mild,...), ordered them and served them. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasty hotdogs, corn and fries. Let's not forget about the drinks from the Abbey and the sweet desert: churro with ice cream! The atmosphere was casual, festive with the strings of lights and the very recently installed inflatable penguin on the roof, that conveyed Holiday cheer! Thank you Gus for a delightful evening!”

“How does this place not have 5 stars? The have the best shredded chicken I have ever tasted. The chicken enchiladas were incredible. The carne asada melts in your mouth. It has such an incredible flavor. The service was the best. Everything was perfection.”

“Great venue. Right on the beach. Has inside bar area and great outdoor patio. Knocked off 1 star because the drinks are pretty weak. $9 for a tito cranberry in a small glass with a 3 count pour. They could suffer to be a tad more generous with the booze at a dive bar.”

“Had a great experience here at this Cold Stone. The worker Ilenia gave the most amazing customer service! Her interaction with my family absolutely made our day! She is very sweet and kind and has a heart of gold. We live in Chula Vista but my family will make the drive just to come to this Cold Stone to interact with Ilenia!”

“First time eating at N&N Creole Soul Kitchen and Beignet Bar, and I highly recommend! 🤩 Small Mom & Pop restaurant in Imperial Beach, portion servings were huge, and prices were reasonable!
