It's almost great, but the dark meat is almost always over cooked. It tastes like it was scraped of the grill. Imagine if there was left over grime in a skillet. It just tastes charcoaly“

He treated us like family, very attentive, very respectful, on time with everything very professional. “Former Maui resident here. Nice place to pick up Spam Musubi! Not much ambience though. Service was just okay. Food came fast. Glad to have a place close by when I’m wanting Hawaiian. Not as good as local food in Hawaii though, but still glad to have it. You should really lower your prices for the Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks. They’re crazy high to charge when I can buy them at Ralph’s. I think it was a 100% mark up. These are inflationary times. Hawaiian food is salty. If the drinks are cheaper, people might order more food and appreciate you more for not price gouging. Something to consider?“

“Never been to Hawaii and now I don't have to 😁 I got the plain, guava, and Bavarian cream. They were really good and the coffee was bomb. My Bavarian cream had a little chocolate on it and I was not mad at that. If they had a mix, I would get it. Donut was fluffy and not oily tasting.“

“I love L&L and frequent different locations often. The Palm Ave location just cannot seem to get an entire order correct and it’s frustrating because I know the service expectation of the brand. Give them some guidance on preparing multiple meals correctly for a single order.

“I'm hapa, live on the East Coast and I'm always looking for a solid Hawaiian food place when visiting family in Chula Vista. Obviously my dad and auntie make the best Hawaiian food but the flavors of the Mac salad, Teri chicken and kalbi reminded me of home. Will definitely be back.“

“I ordered pinakbet, chicharon bulaklak, and menudo for pick-up from Carlitos Family Restaurant, and everything was delicious! The flavors brought me right back to home-cooked meals from my childhood. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm, family-style setting—and even karaoke was happening! It felt nostalgic and comforting, like stepping into a family gathering. Although I only grabbed takeout this time, I’m definitely planning to dine in next time to soak in more of that vibe.

Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Filipino food with a side of good energy. 🍽️🎤🇵🇭

“Super sweet staff during Comic-Con, it even started raining a tiny bit on the patio and they moved umbrellas over. Wish they would've participated more in the event, but it was chill. Food/drinks were amazing. Our server was awesome. Mango Lychee Margarita was delicious.“
