“I had a wonderful experience at Roots Indian Bistro. I reached quite late, even after closing hours, but the staff still welcomed and accommodated me so warmly without making me feel rushed at all.

The food was excellent, and to top it off, they even served complimentary kheer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What stood out the most to me, though, was the hospitality. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and one of the owners personally came over to check if everything was good and whether I was enjoying the meal.

Good food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what truly makes a place special — and Roots absolutely excelled at that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for not just great Indian food, but also an incredibly warm dining experience.“

Unreal.. reminds me of the food back home. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu including the fried eggplant vegan sandwich. “Oh my goodness. Just finished eating and ran here to write a review. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the most delicious, fresh, flavorful Indian food I've ever had, and I used to live in Jersey City. I went yesterday with friends to try the chicken tikka masala burrito and it was unexpectedly awesome. The owner who served us brought us complimentary mulligatawny soup which was extremely comforting and he was so attentive and friendly. We also got the masala fries with paneer and they were soooo good.

I had such a great experience that I came back today to try some non-fusion food for takeout. I got what I usually get for Indian takeout- chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. I was also excited to see they have gobi manchurian which is one of my favorites but surprisingly hard to find a good one, so I tried that too.

Wowwowow! Every single dish was exceptional. Everything seasoned perfectly, with so much depth of flavor in each dish. Samosas were flaky and crispy, and the chutneys were perfect. Masala was sweet and a little spicy, and the paneer was so fresh. The gobi manchurian was also perfection. I almost never want to go to another Indian place again, because I've seemingly found the best. Can't wait to come back again and try some different dishes! Can not recommend this place enough! Sorry, forgot to take pictures of my dinner I was too excited to eat it.

Also! Excellent value! The prices are very modest and the portion sizes are great. I have enough for 2 dinners for my fiancé and I, coming out to $15 per meal which is incredible considering the variety and quality of food ❤️“

“I had this placed saved on Instagram and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! We got the chicken kebab plate with extra pita bread. It was so delicious 😋 EVERY bite produced a happy dance. Customer service was great. The girl at the counter was very patient with us. There’s outside seating where we chose to sit and free parking on the side streets. I would’ve given them five stars but the fries were lukewarm. They were seasoned and crispy but warm. I will definitely be back and I can’t wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow.“

“We drove from Phoenix to L.A to eat there.
I have not had a couscous in 35 plus years and it was very very good.
The ambiance is good, and the owners are really nice people. Overall a good solid 10/10.
It was worth driving 370 miles. Of course, we are gonna be doing other things, but the first dinner was a hit.

“oh em gee, love love love!! this seriously is some of the best crispy chicken sandwich i’ve had in a while, it’s perfectly seasoned with the best crunch. the workers are super welcoming and sweet! even gave us free corn ribs because they heard it was our first time, defo recommend the corn ribs and the original sandwich mild. definitely recommend if you haven’t tried!!“

Pizza crust is perfect chewy and good amount of chicken tikka on the pizza.
Also tried the Alu samosa, chicken curry, lamb biryani and garlic naan. Everyone in the group loved it. To be honest, I think this is the best Indian food spot in Torrance or Redondo Beach area. The manager is Nitin from India’s tandoori in Manhattan Beach and now he moved into this Curry and Pizza restaurant. He does excellent customer service and he is very friendly and professional. We know him for years and so happy he moved here.
Will be back soon to try other items on the menu.“

“I dined in around 6pm on a Saturday and it was perfect. It’s a small place with a relaxed vibe. The place was empty when I arrived but quickly filled up while I ate my food. I got the garlic naan, the sag paneer, butter chicken and rice. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. The butter chicken was my favorite - incredible spices and I could tell it was cooked on the grill (my favorite cook). The service was fantastic - both servers were so nice and the owner even came to greet us and make sure everything was ok. I would absolutely come back and recommend to a friend.“

“Baja California Tacos is our go to fish taco spot in LA. Dont be put off by the appearance of this spot, as the fish tacos are among the best we’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with either their fresh flour or corn tortillas. Their fried fish is always piping hot and crispy and the lettuce and pico are fresh and bright. The crema is perfectly seasoned and adds a satisfying creaminess. Baja California Tacos is comparable to the greats like Kikos and Oscars down in San Diego and more than satisfies the fish taco craving in LA!“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality.
