“This ice cream shop is a pop-up (probably permanent pop-up) in The Shops at Santa Anita. I loved the free sample they offered! The server is so generous in offering the samples. The croffle is the best we’ve had for a long time, warm and so yummy. I especially enjoyed the matcha and hojicha, both made with ceremonial-grade tea. The ice cream did not disappoint me either. Parking: My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting La Michoacana Ice Cream University, a Mexican ice cream shop. We were looking for snacks to take out for the movies and we were craving some esquites. And so I quickly searched one up and found this place. This is located in a plaza and they're right across from the Azusa Pacific University. And now I know why they named the shop as such. Finding parking is really easy, I had no trouble finding parking although it was at night. But I'm pretty sure during the day you can easily find parking there.Food Selection: We ordered two small esquites – for the uninitiated, esquites are Mexican snacks made with corn kernels, similar to elote but served warm in disposable cups, minus the cob. We also ordered a fruit bowl topped with chamoy and tajin. While everything was delicious, the standout was definitely the fruit bowl, with the chamoy and tajin. It was flavorful and filling. (I will attach pictures of the food for reference.)Ambiance: Stepping inside, the shop was very clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I noticed in the front of the shop that they have free Wi-Fi but it was password protected. So I'm assuming that you need to ask one of the staff for the password if you want to study there for a while.Staff and Service: Though I didn't catch our server/cashier's name, he was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I really like the fact that before handling the food, he washed his hands before attending to us– a small yet crucial detail that deserves commendation.Recommendation: I highly recommend La Michoacana Ice Cream University for anyone seeking some delicious Mexican snacks and ice cream! I got the batch of 6 cookies and it came out to $20 and it was their pre selected cookie choices, no customization. Takes a decent little bit to get your cookies, small location with no seating area (im certain they expect you to order ahead in your car or wait in your vehicle.) Gets pretty packed in there as this is a popular chain. Packed in a small space is a no no for me, but that is only my thoughts.“

“One of my favorite burger joints. I always get the mushroom burger. However, I always have to tell them to make it like it looks in the advert for the burger, otherwise, they skimp on the mushrooms and fried onion strings. I also request that they only cook it med well, otherwise they over cook the meat and do that smash thing where they burn the outside making it crispy. I don't want my burger meat smashed and over cooked, crispy. They will argue that's how they have to make it. Nonsense! Make it the way I order it. I'm the one paying for and eating it. Just a dream place for anyone planning an ice cream party -- they mostly sell ice cream in bulk but also offer select individual ice creams that you normally would buy from ice cream trucks. It's not really a place you want to bring your kids just because parking is limited and there's traffic as ice cream trucks are constantly moving around to load up with goodies -- so be very careful if you decide to bring a kiddo. I was greeted amazingly friendly by Aman and Anjali. It felt so welcoming. The place looked absolutely clean and organized. I was impressed!
