“BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH IN LAI thought I was in NYC when I came here. Very nice Asian couple owns and operates this joint in the heart of LA. Very nice people I can tell they pour love into everything they make.The sandwich has a perfect texture, they toasted the croissant and added mayo to my Sausage, egg, and cheese. Light crisp from the croissant compliments the chewiness from the sausag, egg and cheese. It was so good. I could have this everyday!!Donuts are great too, best variety in town. Coffee is delicious. “Best donuts in Pasadena. This is a quintessential Los Angeles donut shop. Biting into their donuts is like biting into a fluffy cloud of sweetness. They taste so delicious. My absolute favorite is the glaze twist, then the chocolate glazed, but they have plenty of options, and also breakfast sandwiches. The service is so kind and pleasant. The ambiance is an old school donut shop from the early 2000s and the experience to having a donut as a kid. I've never been able to find a donut shop that tasted like they did from my childhood until coming here. If you like krispy kreme melt-in-your-mouth donuts, this place is even better because they're more airy and not overpoweringly sugary. I love this place!“

My boyfriend took me here on a sunny Sunday morning for a quick bite before a Clippers game. I was so shocked at the prices, as I'm so used to blown up prices in DTLA. I usually restrain myself from eating a Bagel because I usually can't stop, but I thought, what the hey, the price is so good, why not? The bakery owner will make the sandwich fresh and hot for you if you're willing to wait a quick 5 minutes. I finished the whole thing in one sitting (which I usually don't) because it was just so good. They also have an awesome Vietanmese coffee that will authentically smack you in the face, like it's supposed to. I had such a wonderful experience, I'll definitely be back for the awesome prices and delicious sandwiches.“
“This is a takeout donut place. They're donuts are not overly sweet and are baked fresh throughout the day. I took some to my office in Oxnard and one of the employees recognized the box and said she drives many miles just to get donuts at this location. They even have blueberry donuts, which I understand is rare. The prices are super reasonable, the donuts are fresh and not overly sweet and I can't recommend this place enough.“
“Super cute spot near the airport. I got the ham & cheese croissant and vanilla latte. I don’t like my coffee super sweet so I got 2 pumps vs the usual 3 and it’s perfect. The croissant isn’t your typical donut shop bread cut and ham shoved. It’s IN the bread. And the bread is super soft and melts in your mouth. Good quality cheese. I was really hungry and it didn’t really fill me but it hit the spot. Good price too. Extra nice perk was the outdoor seating with Mountain View. Dad's Donuts is a great place to grab very delicious, freshly made donuts and coffee without all the frills and fuss of other "fancy" (and often overpriced and overhyped) donut establishments. Family-owned and very friendly, nearly all of the donuts are under $2. Don't be shy about asking which one(s) are the freshest and warmest - Dad's will tell no lies. On this particular visit, I grabbed a maple bar and a glazed old fashioned along with a freshly brewed small coffee - all for under $6. A couple of tables inside and out, a fairly small parking lot and no bathroom privileges. But this is mostly a grab and go place - Dad's wants you to get your sugar intake and go back outside to play. Check out one of the donut institutions in Burbank - Dad's will always be in the conversation.“

My go to is their Napoleon pastries, they are heavenly- flaky, creamy, and just melt in your mouth. “Lard Lad Donuts are a fun thing to grab while you're in Simpsons Land at Universal Studios. They have giant versions of donuts (like the size of a pizza, but a donut!), and some small donuts that you can get as a single or four pack. However, that's really the only thing they have on offer, so it's worth a quick stop if you want a giant donut, but not much else (just Duff Beer and coffee/soda that you can get anywhere in the rest of Universal) I feel like some of the other restaurants and shops in Simpsons Land have more theming going on compared to this. So I recommend getting the giant donut for the comedy of it, or the smaller donut/s if you're really just feeling like a donut treat. But just be aware this is a counter shop with not much theming like most of the rest of Simpsons Land.“
“The menu is fairly large for a boba spot (a bunch of food options!), so I was hopeful when coming in. However, I only ordered drinks - the galaxy & the Cambodian red lime. Just a disclaimer - I think someone would like these drinks but it's not for me. That being said, I think these are well crafted & made. The galaxy was the better of the 2. To me, it tasted quite medicinal at first because it had an artificial cherry flavor but it mellows out once you keep drinking. The Cambodian red lime had nutmeg (or cinnamon?) in it which I wasn't expecting in a tea drink. It was good, just not for me. I think this place is pretty good if you're in the area! I like that they're taking risks & making flavors that you can't find anywhere else. Their flavors are quite niche but I know someone will definitely find their signature drink here. I would come back to try something new!“

“Came here after a fun filled day at Universal Studios! Just to stand in another line...LOL. It was almost closing time but they had a line almost out the door. This is such a fun shop. The donuts are always delish! The chocolate with the cream filling was my fave! The cream was so delicious and the donut tasted fresh and had a nice bouncy texture. The chocolate was yum! I also ordered their hot chocolate which was tasty and made with care. I loved that they had seasonal Easter donuts for Easter. One of their donuts was with a cute chocolate bunny butt! Their selection is quite large. If you plan on trying some of their larger donuts only order one they are huge, and very filling, 4 people can share one. This donut shop is always great, I wish they had more locations. Can't wait to go to their original store location in Oregon.“
