“We were walking around La Jolla when my kids spotted Spiro’s Mediterranean Cuisine and wanted to try it out, and I’m really glad we did! First of all, everyone here was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was also really good — very flavorful and very fresh.
I tried the Steak Tacos, my daughter got the Fish and Chips, and my son got the Chicken Tenders and Fries. Everything came out delicious, and the portions were great too. It ended up being one of the highlights of our day in La Jolla. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Best fresh Greek food ever. I took the food to go. I got the Chicken Kabobs with rice and greek salad. So delicious. Fresh. Good white breast chicken. Kalamsta olives and feta. Fresh romaine. I rarely rate a restaurant, especially as a traveller, but I loved this meal. The server was excellent as well, unfortunately I didn't get his name.“

“Great food, friendly staff, and a clean, welcoming place. The gyro wrap was deceptively big with a generous amount of meat, and it was delicious. The Greek salad was fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Definitely a satisfying meal and a place I’d happily visit again.“

“ZGARA is a sweet, locally owned Greek restaurant that I have been coming here for a while now. They have very affordable and delicious food that won't break the bank. If you like a great place with dope staff and good people, this is the place to be. They also have lunch specials which is a definite plus. 10/10“

“Delicious food. But I came here to write about the customer service: I appreciate that the employee was willing to fix my froyo. I paid extra to add Dubai chocolate… $12 is a lot for froyo and he gave me half the normal portion 🥺 I was afraid to ask, but he was cool about it and gave me a better portion. Thats it 👍“

“Food was good. However, the cashiers were busy cleaning up for the night vs taking care of customers. It wasn’t late, either. It was around 7:30 or 7:45 on a Sunday. The cleaners they use are very strong. Very pinesol or something like that. Glad I got food to go because I wouldn’t want to have smelled the cleaners during dinner. Dining room had zero vibe.“

“Came in for a quick beer, ended up staying and hanging out. Great beer selection in tap and great atmosphere and decor. The Mediterranean street food smelled so delicious and looked fantastic! Will definitely be returning everytime we visit San Diego.“

“So, I am updating my review. I still love Spiros, both locations,but this particular location has amazing views. However, the service here is not great, mostly 1 person, but they are always there, always taking the orders, which makes him hard to avoid. I believe his name is Steve. I literally dread placing my order when he's there. He is a very stressful person and therefore makes the ordering experience stressful. I go anyway with my family, this place isn't cheap for a casual place but the food is great. Well, recently I had an interaction with this guy that really upset me and my fam, he was very rude in front of customers and tried to make us feel bad. It was busier than normal because it was holiday time and events were happening. I will be contacting management personally but just beware of this guy when you go. Seriously disappointed.“

“I cannot stress enough how delicious everything was. I got the combo plate and ate until I was full and still had enough left over to take home for lunch the next day! I actually felt sad that my stomach wasn't bigger and I couldn't order more food. We sat outside and the atmosphere was amazing. Cannot recommend the lamb and chicken enough!“
