“Honestly, this place is mainly meant for UCSD graduate students to drink some beer. It's probably almost impossible to find from the outside as it's a part of the graduate housing community, but it's not like they check your ID so it makes for a fun meeting spot if you have a reason to be there. They have a solid selection of beers and they don't sell snacks. You just walk up to the counter, buy your beer, and then they'll serve it to you right then and there. Sometimes it's fun to watch some sports there too. I don't think it ever becomes too busy. It's a convenient meeting spot too, and super laid back. If you want it to go I think they also can help serve the beer in a can for you to take back to your place. I think they also recently tried to lock down their restrooms so if you don't have a grad student ID you need to ask for a key to the nearby restroom. Overall I liked the place a lot when I was a grad student there. I kind of miss it, maybe I'll go back if I ever find myself in grad housing for some reason...“

“Here in town for mine and my boyfriends anniversary and we randomly looked up bars near our hotel. This one popped up and we decided to go! Sooooo glad we went! The food was absolutely amazing!!!! Those ginger soy marinated wings were soooooo flavored omg. I wanted more and more haha! The service was amazing, if you don't sit at the bar top, you can order from a side window and I swear my drinks came out in less than 2 minutes and the whole place was packed! The guy working the window was extremely friendly and we felt welcome the second we walked in! Will DEFINITELY be back!“

“Luckily found parking right in front, but can get VERY crowded during Redskins games. There were zero seats at the bar, and I asked a table with space if I could share. Craft beers are holding line at $8 each. Might be the best cheesesteak in San Diego. I'm from the east coast, so I know about these things. Philly Frank's in San Marcos is close, Gaglione Brothers (stadium version) is a distant third. No gristle. The money pitch is the 1/2 cheesesteak ($8) with a side of tots ($6.50). That looked good!Forget about the wings- the Buffalo sauce was good, but the wings themselves were almost comically small. Should have taken a photo. Skip these.“

“Serious locals bar. Great service. Unusually well manicured tap beer selection - nice work. I had a perfectly poured Guinness followed by an HB helles - both in the correct glasses. How often do you get that? Great whiskey selection, if you are so inclined. I was here on a Monday night. There’s a lot of not so ideal bars in this area. This place is an outlier. A true haven of a spot. Look forward to coming back and trying the food.“

“A (literally) hidden gem. The restaurant rests beside a small pond, found only by following a trail from the parking lot. Sitting outside under a cozy heat lamp, my husband enjoyed trying several beers while I had a POG seltzer. The service was fantastic, and the food was the best we'd had in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed the locally crafted sausages and the baked mac n cheese. I learned that the sauces and dressings are made in house. My husband had the ahi nachos - chips and sauces also made in house. We'll be coming back!“

“Bay Hill is an absolute favorite. Great food, great drinks, solid service.Particularly the cauliflower and the fried chicken are two of my favorites.And you're doing yourself a disservice if you're not getting the truffle fries.Parking: If there's no parking right by bay hill, plenty of parking across the street. “Been wanting to visit this place for awhile since I'm a big fan of TopGun: Maverick. This bar was the inspiration for the Hard Deck bar in the movie, down to the airplane models on the ceiling.It's a very small place and doesn't accommodate a a lot of people. For special events, they do have an adjacent room that's large enough for ceremonies.Some things to keep in mind: don't touch the model airplanes and don't put your phone on the bar (or else you'll have to buy everyone a round). You'll also need a military ID to get in base unless you're with someone who has one.“

“The 1/2 pound cheeseburger and basket of fries gets a solid 4 stars at Rockys. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is my burger and fries weren't hot at service and no napkins were provided.Burger was juicy and perfectly dressed with pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato and of course cheese.“

“We've been here a couple of times lately and enjoyed it both times. We also love the little shop where you can find so many goodies from England. On Easter Sunday I tried the Sunday dinner which was pretty delish. My husband has the fish and chips and said the fish was great but the chips were soggy. If they would have been crispy it would have been a 10 out of 10. I love the atmosphere which does make you feel like you're in England. We will definitely be back.“

“We have mixed feelings about this place. Pros are the outdoors. Cons are staff sometimes seems distracted or non engaging. They under pour beers but the pretzels are really good. We love to sit outdoors so it draws us with that and the pretzels.“

“I visited Henry's Pub for the Super Bowl, and despite the bustling crowd, the service was outstanding. Opted for chicken fingers and fries - even though I wasn't too hungry - and they were surprisingly delicious. Having been there for drinks before, I didn't fully appreciate how great their food is. A lively spot with excellent service and unexpectedly tasty bites!“

“This is a brewery with chill rooftop vibes. Most seats have an ocean view. The service can be a little slow but it fits the chill oceanfront vibes. The beer options are always great. There are heaters for the winter as well. They offer Mediterranean food for reasonable prices. Happy hour is $2 off all beer Monday -Friday 3pm to 6pm. They also validate parking in the garage for 2 hours.Parking: They offer 2 hour validation for the parking garage.“

“I was in San Diego last weekend and stopped by Breakfast Republic for breakfast. First off parking was easy. We didn't struggle and it was very accessible. We were worried there might be a wait since we went on Saturday morning, but there was no wait and we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and very patient while we were deciding on our orders. We ordered a flight of pancakes, mashed potato omelet, chilaquiles, jalapeno bacon sausage omelet and the Portuguese linguisa sausage scramble. Everything was pretty tasty and the breakfast potatoes were cooked perfectly. They have a spicy ketchup that was interesting and we enjoyed it with the food. It was quiet and not too noisy so we were able to hear each other during breakfast. This was a big plus for us! I think this place is worth a try if you are nearby.“
