The only downside about this place is that it seems their breakfast sandwiches are prepackaged/not prepared fresh in house and the options were limited. not a place for a substantial meal but they’re good at what they do in terms of coffee. “I love Freddo. Their coffee and ice cream are fantastic (I love all of their Dulce de Leche flavors). Their empanadas, medialunas, and alfajores are great too. The people working there is nice and friendly. There is a nice patio in the back too. Parking can be tricky but you can always find a spot if you move away from Ventura. It’s open late too, so if you are looking for a espresso in the evening, this may be just the place for you“

“Sarah is such a sweetheart! I’m not sure if she owns or manages this location, but she was delightful either way. I tried an espresso to see if I liked the flavor & ended up not being a fan of it. The espresso is fine, I think I prefer a different flavor profile. She offered me another espresso to try and I liked it better! To top it off, she let me take a bag of espresso home to try, just because she likes coffee & sharing it with the community. “Okay y'all, so I need y'all to check this cutesy spot out. I tried them for the first time yesterday, for my birthday. And the service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the food was DELICIOUS!! I went for brunch btw. I'll be going for dinner next time. But their brunch was AMAZING! I ordered the Steak&Eggs dish and literally cleaned the whole plate. I mean, it was sooo good. And they bring your food out quick too. The only downside is the parking. There's 2 hour parking meters on the street. And there's 2 hour residential parking as well. But there's a lot of signs in the residential area, so I wouldn't risk parking there if I were you. HOWEVER, there is a small parking structure on the next block over. And it's a $10 flat rate. And that parking structure closes at 8pm or 8:30pm (just a heads up). But again, it is a small parking structure. So it gets full quickly. Luckily it wasn't full when I parked there. But other than the parking, this restaurant is amazing. 10 out of 10!!! “I am a coffee fanatic and always looking for the best coffee spots every place I go. I can say hands down Saint Coffee Shop is by a mile by favorite coffee spot in all of LA. Oftentimes, I find coffee shops tend to pour too much milk and drown out the espresso, but Saint’s Iced Vanilla Latte is perfect - just enough milk to balance but you can still taste how great the espresso is. The pastries are also fantastic, and I love the cinnamon roll and how fluffy and dough-y it is. I will say it is very difficult to find seating, especially on a weekend, because the place gets so busy, but even just grabbing your coffee and pastries to go is so worth it. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. “One of the most underrated coffee places. Staff super friendly and coffee is incredible. Great space and feels very cool with their rental spaces for various musicians etc available as well. Skip the gimmicky coffee down the street and get a cortado here.“

“Food was good! We ordered the Crispy chicken wrap with curly fries and the steak salad. Both were good, I don’t like blue cheese and there was some in the salad.

I used to get their iced vanilla latte religiously almost everyday then I tried other places and realized Aroma’s lattes are very milk heavy and I can barely taste the coffee. If I get coffee from them it’s a cold brew now.

Dessert is delicious! The chocolate chip cookies are goey and have a crunch .

I love the location it’s beautiful inside and out. It usually gets packed and there’s a line you have to wait in, but we went in at 5pm and it was pretty quiet. Found seating inside no issues, tables were clean, bathroom was clean. Service was quick!

“Layla Bagels is a uniquely special bagel place with creative flavors and addictively good & chewy bagels .

I got the Evil Steve on a jalapeños cheddar bagel for brunch and it was perhaps the best brunch bagel of my life ! The combination of slightly spicy pepper jam with tangy goat cheese smear and delicious smoked turkey wrapped in the jalapeño cheese bagel is extraordinary. Best part was the crunchy and crispy shallots to add that final profile in an already special bagel . Out of this world good .

They are also offering a gluten free bagel which is also rare to see .
