“Fantastic coffee shop with genuinely great food. The breakfast sandwich might honestly be one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Everything tasted fresh, well-made, and like they actually care about the quality of what they’re serving.

The coffee is excellent as well, but what really makes this place stand out is the combination of great food and incredibly nice people. .

“I recently got there to print out important documents. It all went smoothly. They helped me even to get wifi on my phone, since normally, they don't provide it for obvious reasons. I still got it, because it was important to get in on my phone also to connect to their computer. Very kind of them. Also pretty quite, a huge variety of snacks to buy, and pretty cheap. Dear owners, you can even ask for higher prices. The only thing is the cleanliness. Since it is located in a not so well area, that would be likely still normal. Yse you your higher prices to make the environment clean. But I'll always come back.“

Generous portion with pickles and delicious soft boiled eggs, pickles, puréed fresh tomatoes and a small amount of hot sauce that isn’t too hot. Just right. “Wish I lived closer. As a first time customer I got a drink on the house, and they have a utopic pay-what-you-can model for future drinks. The cafe is spacious, and it’s the perfect place to either get work done or chat with some friends—it doesn’t seem dominated by either group. The baristas are very friendly and clearly excellent at their craft. They use high quality espresso, and the brown sugar latte was divine.“

“My favorite place to get coffee. Have a few specialty drinks I toggle between that are my favorites. They have some unique and delicious muffins and a chocolate chip cookie to die for. “Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. The dessert display looks amazing. Overall 5 stars will definitely come back and recommend to friends. My only issue, and it’s very minor, is the salt & pepper granules are too big to come out of the tiny holes in the S&P shakers, I did have to unscrew the lids. But I took every bite home as leftovers because it was so yummy.“

All teas are fresh brewed which made my Thai Tea boba outstanding, I also was able to lessen the sugar which made the Tea flavor stand out more. Much appreciated.

My wife loved the Peach Yakult with boba and her Monster Boba Latte.

I like that they have a variety of teas and not just Jasmine and Thai Tea.

Seating is plenty and and great music and atmosphere.

There was also a couch to chill on while you wait. Music was a vibe. Matcha was on point and made just right. Highly recommend checking out this new spot in westwood. If you work or live nearby you have to stop by. Located on the corner of Gayley and Le Conte.“
