“This place is delicious, it might be just a burger spot, but eveytime we go out to Bakersfield. We make it a point to drive out to Lamont and eat at Root Beer King.

Parking: Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. Always find a spot to park.“

“Finally had lunch at the guild house. It was absolutely lovely, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I did have a reservation and my table was ready. Everyone was extremely pleasant. I was offered a hot or cold option and I chose the hot option. Pea soup, chicken Marsala and strawberry shortcake to finish. Polenta fries were perfect!

“We loved the vibe of the place, starting with the back patio that was tree covered, did not sit out there because there was nobody else sitting out there early in the morning, and the chairs were a little hard. Our server was friendly kept your coffee for an answered any questions that you had about the menu. Our food came up very promptly after ordering, and everything was prepared very nicely I decided to try the biscuits and gravy because I like to do that at a place I’ve never been to when they offer it, the gravy was thick, and had nice chunks of meat in it for flavor. And the biscuit was light and fluffy the eggs Benedict were very good, and I tried the corn beef hash because it was homemade not from a can! I had a good flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hashbrowns were browned perfectly as well. I would definitely revisit if we’re down in Bakersfield again. 😎“

“Always my favorite burger, but this time was the first time getting the Avocado Burger! So delicious!!! It was big & they did not short me on avocados, that's for sure! The fries are always crispy & have good seasoning, good homemade tasting ranch & the staff is so friendly. We always seem to have the same girl (weekends or today is a holiday) & she is so friendly & always has a smile. It is worth the whole drive across town.“

“Been here multiple time and they always have great service and delicious fresh made to order food, but yesterday I ordered the turkey burger, they gave me a veggie burger, I told the employee, she said " that's the turkey burger, but if you like ill confirm with the cook" I said yes please and the cook also said it was turkey, I ate it and dint want to complain but that was not what I ordered, that was no turkey burger there was no meat in it it was a veggie patty, just be aware that they might not know what are they selling, not sure if they were all new employees but they were clueless.“

“The Botanist is a downtown treasure…such a charming atmosphere that reminds of restaurants on my travels to Europe. Emily our server was so personable and really made us feel welcome. She recommended the Botanist Loaded Fries and they phenomenal..everything we ate and the seasonal hand crafted cocktails were suburb. Definitely give this place a try you will not be disappointed!
