“This was our first time here. Few good restaurants open in Madera on Sunday. We drove to Chowchilla on a recommendation. We reserved table for 7 online. We got there, table ready, sweet waitress was on it. She was so attentive and made our experience so special. The food was amazing. My salmon was spot on, the steak salad awesome, the French dips so tender and delicious. The Philly cheese to die for with a side of au jus. We would definitely go back again. Wish they were in Madera, but worth the short drive!”

Not Pedro's! Everything is great. There's something for everyone and everything is deliciousVegetarian options: It's easy to sub beans for meat in any of their Mexican dishes. Most of their appetizers are meatless and they have some pretty outstanding cheese pizza! I'm about 80% meatless and I come here often.Kid-friendliness: I've been getting my step kids pizza here for years... Pizza, chicken strips, burger, fries, quesadilla. They've got it all.”

“I'm so excited that there is a new food truck in Madera for some seriously delicious pupusas! I've tried their bean and cheese and revuelta, both were amazing. They are about $5 each, pricier than some other spots, but their quality and size makes them more than worth it. I've also had the fried yuca with Chicharron which was also a very generous portion. The service is super friendly as well! Their food truck is on a main road (Cleveland in the Chevron parking lot) in Madera which is super convenient, but it's also awesome that they're on DoorDash. I will continue to stop by.”

“Been coming to this location on and off for the last decade. Moved back into the area a year ago and have been really happy with the consistency in service and quality of the food. Me and my kids love all of the pasta options and the Pizzas are stellar. Great for lunch and dinner. When weather right, the patio is a great place too.”

One thing outstanding about this particular location: the owner opted for paper towels in the restoom so you don't have to touch the dirty door handle to exit the restroom right before you handle your food. This has been a big pet peeve of mine even before covid....at any restaurant, but especially Subway where you eat your food with your hands! What are you other Subway owners thinking?”

“It's a typical subway. The thing that sets this one apart are the owners. Very involved with the business and extremely easy to work with. They are behind the counter making sandwiches and very engaging with customers. Very kind, I recommend this location!”

“Tacos el Grullense is by far one of the best taco places. The supreme carne asada burrito is full of flavor and a must have. Their aguas frescas are authentic and remind me of home. Anytime I come from Los Angeles to Chowchilla, it's a must that I visit Tacos El Grullense. Prices are affordable, food is great. I've tried several Taco places in LA and this spot is at the top my list.”
