Restaurantji's Lockeford Mexican restaurant picks are here.
“Bought two Mexican pizzas both tostadas tasted heavily of chemicals. So much so that I couldn’t eat more than a bite. They offered to give us other food but I’m getting over Covid and my sister doesn’t want to go back.Vegetarian options: Beans and rice instead of meat.“
“Great food 1st time here just by coincidence I came here seen a lot of people in line . Tried their tongue burrito it was amazing they have variety of Mexican food . I will be coming back it's at the Chevron gas station in Lodi. Also everything is reasonably priced.“

“Visited today, 10/22/23 it was raining hard. Love the rain, and rainy season calls for caldos. While we wait for the food, they brought us chips and salsa, salsa is very good, chips very crunchy. We Order a caldo de Res, delicious, meat was tender and the bone had tetanus in it! Comes with home made tortillas, side of rice, your fixings, Like chopped onions and jalapeños. Also your red salsa. My husband had a Tri tip plate with fried beans and rice. Also very flavorful! For drinks agua de horchata. Muy amables y serviciales! Gracias regresaremos pronto!“
“Best breakfast burrito I've had from any Mexican restaurant! The bacon in the burrito was flavorful and crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. It's too bad they close so early because I would definitely make the trip out to Lodi from Stockton for dinner or a late evening snack.“
“10/10 recommend! So glad we tried it. The meat is perfectly seasoned/flavored, cooked and lean. I wish more Mexican food was quality like this! No fat chunks in the asada and it looks and tastes like it's actually grilled (not stewed like other places). Even the toppings tasted and looked fresh, juicy ripe limes and fresh cilantro. Had the asada fries, carnitas burrito and barbacoa tacos. LOVED everything! The space is a little small but most people get food to-go or eat quick and don't sit around so there's tables available.“
“Went for first time today. Ordered a chicken burrito, pork burrito and two queso tacos with asada. Chicken was a little salty and I just assumed it would have cheese and sour cream in it so that was my error in ordering. My chicken burrito was good other than that and the tacos were delicious. My husband didn't care for the pork burrito because he said it was like a boiled meat and he thought it would be cooked on a grill and a little bit crispy. I took a bite of it and I thought it was good. I will definitely go back for the tacos. Friendly service and quick with my order when I was in a hurry.“
“Well worth the wait. I liked the service however they were busy and it took a while to order but this place is very eye lol appealing, tasty and fresh. I got fresas con crema and esquite. I would come back for sure. Regret not taking picture but ate it all before thinking about it ?“
“I get a bean, rice, and cheese burrito with Xtra cheese from this truck probably 4 times a week, it's that good. I will drive past four or five other taco trucks to get food from La Picosita. Their super tacos are epic as well as their quesadillas. Highly recommend you try it out for yourselves. Don't forget to tip the cashier and she'll make sure u have all the limes and jalapenos you could ask for. Plus $6 is very cheap for a burrito nowadays.“
“Passing by Lodi, stopped by to check it out. Very friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of tables and fast seating. Ordered the Carne asada plate which is really good. Multiple restrooms which is great. Some outdoor seating available. Also a cantina side. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. Parking can be a bit challenging but worth it for some good food.“
“On our way up to camping, we usually stop in at the Wendy's. Well, the Wendy's is now gone, to be replaced by some Vegan restaurant. Los Betos is just next door, so we gave it a shot. It was quite busy, so we had to wait a bit for our order. Our meal was excellent! The meat was hot & tasty, and all the fixings were fresh. Looks as if this place may be our new pre-camping lunch spot from now on!“
“Wow, now this place has amazing chicken. Not only was the food good but the prices are great! Generous portions given and quality food. Must try when you are in Lodi! The whole chicken with rice and beans is a great deal!!!! Staff was warm and welcoming & has a family owned restaurant feel.“
“Quick service, friendly.. awesome food, awesome prices, lots of food. Quality food..best salsa I think.. I've had their chicken tacos, great, breakfast burrito amazing, gordita is where it's at...but the asada nachos omg best nachos I've had and you can pick regular cheese or nacho cheese ...so good. Top 2 in Lodi for sure“
“Visited here for dinner with family. Really liked the decor of the restaurant. On the house Chips and salsa were great, in fact they also had spicy salsa on request. We ordered Guacamole, three cheese queso dip, Chicken and Veggie Fajitas and Enchiladas. Of course we started with a extra large pitcher of Mango Margaritas. Service was great, food was really tasty and excellent. We had a great experience dining here. Highly recommend this place.Vegetarian options: There are many veg choices on the menu.Parking: There was plenty of parking near the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is wheelchair accessible“
“Really yummy! I gobbled up these tacos! I ordered take out. I think these would have been heavenly with a side of chips haha but I prob didn't get any because I was takeout. Pictures to drool over. Next time I visit, I'll sit in and eat. I ordered three and I think I would have been full with two but since it was my first try I didn't know how many I'd need. Now, it's time for a food coma. Haha“
“This is my Lodi taco truck! The food is fresh made and the people are always super nice. I'm in Lodi twice a week for work and always go on Thursdays because of the $3 papusa special. 2 fill me up every time! Just a heads up they are cash only.“
“We always ordered for delivery but since we were in Lodi we decided to stop by to pick up some beans and carnitas. We had Silvia Vega helping us and she treated us very nicely and friendly. We had a great conversation with Silvia and let me tell you, she is the best! We really appreciate Silvia! Thank you so much for a great customer service Silvia!! We will come back often to see you and have the delicious food.Parking: Very clean and plenty of parking spacesKid-friendliness: The restaurant is very nice and the customer service is excellent.“
“Went there for the first time on Monday. Had the "Caldo de Chacal Mixto". It was a pleasant surprise how good it was. Perfectly seasoned. It has one Chacal which is basically a giant prawn. It also had regular shrimp, octopus, and chunks of fish. It also comes with veggies like zucchini and carrots. We were provided hand made tortillas which is always a plus. They place is kind of small, but it wasn't crowded that day. We talked to the owner, and he's a very pleasant and attentive.“
“Well let’s see I was craving menudo I’m visiting from Orange County and I saw this place had good reviews. I ordered menudo take out and the flavor was good, but the tribe wasn’t fully cooked I had to cook it for another 30 minutes by this time I no longer .“
“Primo was the taco truck at Track 7 for the day when I visited. It's about #8 for a burrito that's smaller than a chiptole burrito, but the adobada meat is actually pretty good and spicy on its own! Their salsa that you can ask for on the side is actually spicy as well - kept my stomach pretty warm despite my high spice tolerance. Wouldn't mind having it again along with my beer(s) at Track 7 for sure! Worth checking out.“
“Antonio's name changed to La Poblana Restuarnt. We went for breakfast and it was great. My husband had Machaca, I had La Mexicans omelet and my daughter had egg and potato burrito and all was excellent. Service was great and friendly. I recommend this restaurant!“
“I went there tonight because I was tired of going to the supposedly best taco truck in Lodi for years. Their food has gone down hill for a long time. I ordered the regular chicken burrito and it is the burrito I have had from a taco truck!!!!“
“On our way home from Lake Comanche. Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed it. Starting off with the chips and salsa, really tasty salsa. My wife had the chicken enchiladas and loved the flavor. I had a carnitas burrito with a roasted jalapeño. The flavor was sooooo good.Parking: Parked our truck and 5th wheel behind the building. Parking in front, on the side, out back, and on the street.“
