Lodi's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“My Mom and I just had lunch here, today She had the chicken enchilada and I had the chicken California. My mom gives the enchilada an 8 out of 10- only because she believes, nothing is perfect. The chicken California was really delicious. I have not eaten anything like it before. The cheese was very creamy/not grainy. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. This was our first time here. We will definitely be back!“
“I really like this place. Great people here. Service was amazing! They provide fresh chips and salsa at the table. I had the Chile Verde burrito. It was served "wet" with sauce and cheese over it. Very tasty! It's got the right tartness you want in a Chile Verde, as well as savory. The rice and beans were the perfect pairing. They do have a hotter chipotle salsa, if you ask for it. We also ordered the taco salad, and weren't too impressed, tho, sorry to say. It was lacking tomatoes and just an overall freshness. The guac on the salad was a little dark looking. There were no fresh tomatoes or pico de gallo, and I don't know why we didn't just ask for some, but it's a complete afterthought at this point. The ice tea was a little weak, but the Micheladas were spot on, delicious. I recommend this place for its Service, location, variety of menu items, and overall atmosphere, but service being the top reason.“
“Best breakfast burrito I've had from any Mexican restaurant! The bacon in the burrito was flavorful and crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. It's too bad they close so early because I would definitely make the trip out to Lodi from Stockton for dinner or a late evening snack.“
“10/10 recommend! So glad we tried it. The meat is perfectly seasoned/flavored, cooked and lean. I wish more Mexican food was quality like this! No fat chunks in the asada and it looks and tastes like it's actually grilled (not stewed like other places). Even the toppings tasted and looked fresh, juicy ripe limes and fresh cilantro. Had the asada fries, carnitas burrito and barbacoa tacos. LOVED everything! The space is a little small but most people get food to-go or eat quick and don't sit around so there's tables available.“
“Visited today, 10/22/23 it was raining hard. Love the rain, and rainy season calls for caldos. While we wait for the food, they brought us chips and salsa, salsa is very good, chips very crunchy. We Order a caldo de Res, delicious, meat was tender and the bone had tetanus in it! Comes with home made tortillas, side of rice, your fixings, Like chopped onions and jalapeños. Also your red salsa. My husband had a Tri tip plate with fried beans and rice. Also very flavorful! For drinks agua de horchata. Muy amables y serviciales! Gracias regresaremos pronto!“
“I get a bean, rice, and cheese burrito with Xtra cheese from this truck probably 4 times a week, it's that good. I will drive past four or five other taco trucks to get food from La Picosita. Their super tacos are epic as well as their quesadillas. Highly recommend you try it out for yourselves. Don't forget to tip the cashier and she'll make sure u have all the limes and jalapenos you could ask for. Plus $6 is very cheap for a burrito nowadays.“
“This my favorite Mexican Restaurant. T every dish is made so flavorful and delicious. The servers pay attention to details and check back with you often. You can tell they want to please and provide great service. The restaurant is interesting with a giant hot pepper suspended from the ceiling. If you like hot salsa or taco sauces they have a large collection of hot pepper sauces for sale.“
“Really yummy! I gobbled up these tacos! I ordered take out. I think these would have been heavenly with a side of chips haha but I prob didn't get any because I was takeout. Pictures to drool over. Next time I visit, I'll sit in and eat. I ordered three and I think I would have been full with two but since it was my first try I didn't know how many I'd need. Now, it's time for a food coma. Haha“
“Wow, now this place has amazing chicken. Not only was the food good but the prices are great! Generous portions given and quality food. Must try when you are in Lodi! The whole chicken with rice and beans is a great deal!!!! Staff was warm and welcoming & has a family owned restaurant feel.“
“Quick service, friendly.. awesome food, awesome prices, lots of food. Quality food..best salsa I think.. I've had their chicken tacos, great, breakfast burrito amazing, gordita is where it's at...but the asada nachos omg best nachos I've had and you can pick regular cheese or nacho cheese ...so good. Top 2 in Lodi for sure“
“Went there for the first time on Monday. Had the "Caldo de Chacal Mixto". It was a pleasant surprise how good it was. Perfectly seasoned. It has one Chacal which is basically a giant prawn. It also had regular shrimp, octopus, and chunks of fish. It also comes with veggies like zucchini and carrots. We were provided hand made tortillas which is always a plus. They place is kind of small, but it wasn't crowded that day. We talked to the owner, and he's a very pleasant and attentive.“
“This is my Lodi taco truck! The food is fresh made and the people are always super nice. I'm in Lodi twice a week for work and always go on Thursdays because of the $3 papusa special. 2 fill me up every time! Just a heads up they are cash only.“
“We always ordered for delivery but since we were in Lodi we decided to stop by to pick up some beans and carnitas. We had Silvia Vega helping us and she treated us very nicely and friendly. We had a great conversation with Silvia and let me tell you, she is the best! We really appreciate Silvia! Thank you so much for a great customer service Silvia!! We will come back often to see you and have the delicious food.Parking: Very clean and plenty of parking spacesKid-friendliness: The restaurant is very nice and the customer service is excellent.“
“I'm from out of town and looking for a place with machaca for my breakfast to go. The restaurant looks for clean inside and spacious. The food was delicious and the corn tortillas also. I'll came back again and maybe try their sit down buffet. The worker who took my order was cordial and friendly. Thumbs up to this eatery.“
“The bacon, egg, potato and cheese breakfast burrito was amazing! The salsa on the side was super flavorful with the right amount of kick. Huge portions. Was able to do half for breakfast and half for lunch. Best breakfast burrito I’ve had in Lodi so far.“
“Antonio's name changed to La Poblana Restuarnt. We went for breakfast and it was great. My husband had Machaca, I had La Mexicans omelet and my daughter had egg and potato burrito and all was excellent. Service was great and friendly. I recommend this restaurant!“
“I've lived down the street from them for a lil over a year now and have been here at least 20× cuz I've never had a better taco truck .. EVER ... My go to is the asada fries and the cheese jalapeños.. fried cheese? I mean, come on! Soooooo good... I've had everything on the menu except the seafood ... No thanks, not my forte... Michelle has always been a great person to chat with and I know she works her *** off to make sure her customers are happy... I'll be back, always... Oh and their salsas, I should buy in bulk“
“I went there tonight because I was tired of going to the supposedly best taco truck in Lodi for years. Their food has gone down hill for a long time. I ordered the regular chicken burrito and it is the burrito I have had from a taco truck!!!!“
“Best Mexican food in Lodi....the food is great and fresh throughout the day (nothing tastes like it's been "sitting there"). Staff is friendly to everyone who enters, including kids (my son is a picky eater, but he loved the carne asada nachos). Give the staff here some business...you won't regret it.“
“My wife and I decided to venture around the town to see if we are missing out on any spots and boy did we miss this hidden gem!! The outside doesn't tell the story on what's really going on inside. You can tell this establishment is supported by the locals. The neighborhood is predominantly Hispanic, which is great because the food will be much more authentic. You can certainly feel the culture once you enter, the servers allow you to sit anywhere you'd like and the wait time wasn't too bad. All in all good service. Now the food: I could taste very flavored as each dish was perfectly seared and flavorful on the inside. I truly enjoyed each dish, the best thing I liked about the food is it was very fresh. I highly recommended coming here.“
“First time here since we were just passing through the area, but the enchilada and rice were great, and tortilla chips as well. Service was good, nice atmosphere, and restaurant was clean. Nothing to complain about, personally I really enjoyed the food, it was well suited to my tastes.“
“OHHHH WOWWWW! I had their SURF & TURF QUESADILLA for the 1st time today. It was to-die-for! #excellent You MUST try one. The shrimp is plump, succulent, tasty, fresh, & cooked perfectly. The carne asada is very tasty. They do not skimp on how much of both that they load the nice flour tortilla with. I put the green hot sauce on each bite, & also some sour cream from my refrigerator. Yum yum yummmmm! A nice meal.“
