“So tired of paying big bucks for food that tastes like cardboard. But California Al’s did not disappoint. Absolutely the best burger in Lodi❗️ Large portions, EXCELLENT flavor. Fresh handmade burger patty with all the trimmings. Great service as well, waitress was very attentive and personable. Saw people with huge breakfast platters as well, everything looked amazing. “This place was phenomenal especially for the price big scoops of protein lots of options. The price had gone up and the scoops have gotten smaller. Rewards are hot and miss I have spent $70 and received one point but they don’t tel you that. Of you have multiple bowls to multiple transactions. Also I did a Instagram promotion and they changed their mind and I lost my reward 🙄. Staff is always late teens young adults mostly nice some are better than others. Still a solid place .“

“What a great find this winery was! I visited the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center, and told them I was interested in old vine Zinfandels. When I told them I was looking for some old vines to get photos of, they recommended that I visit Lucas Winery, and they were so right! A beautiful location, lovely staff, and Zin Star Vines established in 1933.
I also loved the wall of different soils, and they had a great assortment to taste. Wineries like this are what will bring me back asap - great wines, great hospitality with lots to see and do.“

“Komachi is ALWAYS the best place to go around San Joaquin Valley for sushi and other Japanese Cuisine. Their prices are right, the portions are great, the quality is always on point, the service is phenomenal and the flavor is second to none in SJC! The family-owned business has earned multiple awards year after year, and it only takes one visit to see why! Go try it out, and try the Starfire Roll, my personal favorite! We ordered an asada quesadilla, chips and guacamole, a carnitas burrito with white cheese sauce, a carnitas burrito bowl, jamaica agua fresca (one of the best I’ve had - not too sweet!), and flan. The portions were big enough that we both took home half of our meal and everything tasted super fresh. We’ll be back!“

I usually get at least 5 or 6 cakes every year for my kids' birthdays and other special occasions, and they are always a big hit!
