“If you are in the Long Beach area, please don't miss an opportunity to dine at L'Opera. It is centrally located near the Convention Center and major hotels. The food is always excellent, as is the staff and service. The restaurant is located in an historic building that lends itself beautifully to the elegant ambience and the feel that you are someplace special. I have been dining there for years whenever I am in the area and it has never failed to impress.“

“Nick’s food and service doesn’t disappoint! Menu options are great, and they’ll take a classic comfort dish such as a meat loaf to a gourmet degree. Service is impecable too. Worth every dollar you spend here in every aspect! They have my respect and heart! ♥️“

“First off, I have to say the coffee I ordered was exceptional and so was the banana bread . Coffee was their popular Maple lavender latter with orange zest . Delicious .
The staff was helpful and tried to keep up with the busy crowd on an early Saturday morning .
It was a bit disappointing to me that I waited about 20 minutes for a cup of coffee . Perhaps a busy day with understaffed crew , so not the end of the world. Would try again for sure give them another opportunity“

“We ordered our food to go but sat in the lounge area outside to eat our pastry and sip our coffee. Our cashier offered to bring out my peanut little once it was done. It was delish!!! The gf vegan chocolate muffin was not lacking and I would definitely get the chocolate goodness again. It wasn't dry and was ooey gooey. The coffee was delicious too. Even the drip. The patio was also dog friendly.“

“SO SO SO GOOD! I ordered a birthday cake for my sister with a ton of food allergies, and whoever I spoke to on the phone (wish I still had her name!) was really helpful with all my questions double checking if the cake would be safe for her. Everything is very thoroughly labeled, and very delicious. The cake was super rich and tasty, and my sister grabbed a bunch of assorted pastries while we were picking up the order (the cake is down a strawberry in the front and no raspberry thumbprint cookies pictured because she ate both as soon as we were in the car.) Definitely coming back!“

“Awesome Chile rellenos the only issue I had was a bit pricey for what I actually got my girlfriend loved it we actually went back for more two days later we asked for chips and salsa I got a nice big bag with a large container of salsa so all in all a nice place to visit I just wish it was a little less than almost $20.00 for 2 Chile rellenos with some lettuce on the side and pico de gallo still ok once in a while but if you have the budget then yes I do recommend this place as a nice way to spend a nice evening with someone special dating etc.“

“Ben’s fast food is good! Healthy food with flavor, plus it’s reasonably priced! I love food that nourishes you and doesn’t make you feel like you’re going to have a food coma, and this place definitely satisfies that. I got the chicken mixed bowl, slow roasted chickpeas & potatoes, and a dark chocolate cashew pudding. Yum! FYI, Ben’s Fast Food is at a “food locker” location - it’s decently easy to find and the pick-up process is simple. I definitely recommend this place and I plan to order from here more! Thank you, BFF (Ben’s Fast Food)!!“

“We were long time fans of Komo's when we lived in LG last year. We wanted to swing by before heading back home. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The bartender, Tomo @ Komo's made some of the best Margherita I have had sense my last visit. They also have an extensive Mezcal selection. My wife reported this is the best Mezcal Paloma in CA. We will be back on our next Cali trip!“

“Googled best pizza near me and I found District 4. I parked on Bellflower but did not realize there was a huge parking lot in the other side of the building. You can enter from The Bellflower side but the gate looks like it's one piece. I went in through the main entrance and was greeted with nothing but friendly vibes. Great pizza, good price at happy hour. Will definitely return when I am in the area. Pictured is the medium pepperoni.“

“I'm always hesitant to order a "spicy" dish because I never think it'll actually pack a punch, but man oh man was the Spicy Meat Party nice and spicy! And you could taste so many layered flavors and not just the spice! I thought it was EXCELLENT. Also loved the side of avocado mac salad. It was so creamy and I have NO idea how it's all gluten free!“

“This is a chain restaurant, so there were no surprises about what to expect as we've been to one before. This chang was accommodating to a larger group of us and delivered on the expectation.
(A per peeve of mine is a sticky table. The table was clean. However, the carrousel in the table was tacky)“

Honestly the best tuna sandwich in the world. And literally, I mean the world- I have tried them everywhere. And their is not single place other then grounds that gets them right and perfect. Only thing I miss are the sprouts 😉 Cheers to a lifetime of Grounds 🌸💕🙏🏼“

“Moonbowl in Long Beach, CA, is a true delight for anyone craving flavorful, satisfying bowls! Their beef and chicken bowls are standout dishes, offering a perfect balance of tender, marinated meat, fresh veggies, and savory sauces. The beef bowl features succulent slices of grilled beef that are rich and smoky, while the chicken bowl boasts juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken that melts in your mouth. Both are served over a bed of warm rice or these delicious sweet potato noodles, with a colorful array of toppings like pickled veggies, kimchi, and a perfectly fried egg that ties everything together. The portions are generous, and every bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Whether you're a meat lover or just looking for a hearty, delicious meal, Moonbowl's bowls are a must-try!“

“Heritage Restaurant, Long Beach – A Well-Earned Michelin Star by Michael Broderick. In a city where “Californian” culinary ambition often plays second fiddle to casual dining, Heritage in Long Beach has carved out a place of quiet excellence, earning a well-deserved Michelin star. This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“
