“Wow wow wow wow. Just had the s’mores cookie and I’m shook. The marshmallow and gram cracker is so well done I’ve never had anything like it. It’s so good I wish I never tried it because I’m going to want it way too often than my liver can handle. KISS the chef moment fr (respectfully)“

“First off, I have to say the coffee I ordered was exceptional and so was the banana bread . Coffee was their popular Maple lavender latter with orange zest . Delicious .
The staff was helpful and tried to keep up with the busy crowd on an early Saturday morning .
It was a bit disappointing to me that I waited about 20 minutes for a cup of coffee . Perhaps a busy day with understaffed crew , so not the end of the world. Would try again for sure give them another opportunity“

“Such a wonderful experience we had at L'Opera last night. The 2 of us had completely different meals, both were excellent. The light eater had a L'Opera salad (1/2 size) and the Spinach and Ricotta Gnudi. Both were excellent, and paired perfectly with a glass of Tattinger Champagne! The heartier diner had the Gilet Mignon meal which was cooked perfectly and served with polenta sticks and a decadent mushroom sauce. This was paired with a glass of Decoy Cabernet. Dinner was topped off with a “Sofffice” pineapple dessert which was excellent. Thank you to our server who offered suggestions and delightful service.“

“Came here for Brioche with ricotta, honey, and pistachio. Got two croissants which were Strawberry & cream and Bacon & onion for togo. For Brioche I requested for honey on the side because I prefer to adjust the sweetness by myself and it was perfectly scrumptious. Millions out of ten! Brioche itself was soft, buttery, and tasty so it complimented very well with ricotta and honey plus a bit crunchy from pistachio. Oh one bite and I was blown away. My taste buds were dancing happily. Let’s talk about croissants. Normally, I tend to like savory croissants more than sweet croissants. However, after I tried both of them, strawberry and cream is the winner. I really like the filling. I’m not sure if it’s mascarpone or something else that went really well with strawberry jam. It’s so freaking good! Bacon and onion croissant was not bad at all but as I stated earlier, strawberry & cream is the winner for me.“

“Awesome Chile rellenos the only issue I had was a bit pricey for what I actually got my girlfriend loved it we actually went back for more two days later we asked for chips and salsa I got a nice big bag with a large container of salsa so all in all a nice place to visit I just wish it was a little less than almost $20.00 for 2 Chile rellenos with some lettuce on the side and pico de gallo still ok once in a while but if you have the budget then yes I do recommend this place as a nice way to spend a nice evening with someone special dating etc.“

“We ordered this as delivery and I can’t believe how much we liked it! It was healthy but full of flavor. Even my teenager devoured it without hesitation. So nice to have a healthy, satisfying meal in a hotel. At an amazingly reasonable price too. Kudos. You nailed it. I cannot wait to have it again before we leave town. Wish you had a branch in Oregon!“

“Another hidden gem in Long Beach with the softest, freshest, donuts! My daughter got a mango smoothie drink, it was huge, delicious, and perfectly creamy. Everything is affordable and they have so much to choose from! They have everything you need! My daughter said the donut holes just melted in her mouth. They are so soft, they really do. The flavor of the dough is really good too. Some places taste off or the icing is thin and bland but here, everything tastes perfect, fresh, and flavorful.“

“We were long time fans of Komo's when we lived in LG last year. We wanted to swing by before heading back home. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The bartender, Tomo @ Komo's made some of the best Margherita I have had sense my last visit. They also have an extensive Mezcal selection. My wife reported this is the best Mezcal Paloma in CA. We will be back on our next Cali trip!“

“I'm always hesitant to order a "spicy" dish because I never think it'll actually pack a punch, but man oh man was the Spicy Meat Party nice and spicy! And you could taste so many layered flavors and not just the spice! I thought it was EXCELLENT. Also loved the side of avocado mac salad. It was so creamy and I have NO idea how it's all gluten free!“

“Googled best pizza near me and I found District 4. I parked on Bellflower but did not realize there was a huge parking lot in the other side of the building. You can enter from The Bellflower side but the gate looks like it's one piece. I went in through the main entrance and was greeted with nothing but friendly vibes. Great pizza, good price at happy hour. Will definitely return when I am in the area. Pictured is the medium pepperoni.“

“Absolutely, delicious freshly homemade doughnuts, fresh ice coffee, and fresh sandwiches. Everything they make, they take their time to make it right and fresh. They also have a heart of gold 💛 ✨️ such amazing caring individuals.
Warning ⚠️: Do not be deceived by the looks of the outside of this doughnut shop because it seems antique and old, but the inside where the employees make the food it is very clean, and they use gloves every time they receive a customers request.“

“Moonbowl in Long Beach, CA, is a true delight for anyone craving flavorful, satisfying bowls! Their beef and chicken bowls are standout dishes, offering a perfect balance of tender, marinated meat, fresh veggies, and savory sauces. The beef bowl features succulent slices of grilled beef that are rich and smoky, while the chicken bowl boasts juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken that melts in your mouth. Both are served over a bed of warm rice or these delicious sweet potato noodles, with a colorful array of toppings like pickled veggies, kimchi, and a perfectly fried egg that ties everything together. The portions are generous, and every bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Whether you're a meat lover or just looking for a hearty, delicious meal, Moonbowl's bowls are a must-try!“

“Heritage Restaurant, Long Beach – A Well-Earned Michelin Star by Michael Broderick. In a city where “Californian” culinary ambition often plays second fiddle to casual dining, Heritage in Long Beach has carved out a place of quiet excellence, earning a well-deserved Michelin star. This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“
