“We had Shrimp Scampi and Steak Pesto Cavatappi...I was snacking so I just got potstickers. Everything was very hot and flavorful. Our counter girl was very nice and helpfully accommodating. Even my iced tea was extra refreshing and satisfying. Huge entrée portions and quaint little outside patio for dining. Great place bring your appetite.“

Came here on a suggestion from a friend who's very sensitive to gluten. She could literally eat anything on the menu she was overwhelmed for the first time in ages!

Reasonably priced considering the food and atmosphere.

Food was excellent, the garlic bread was incredible!

I got the chicken and beef shawarma plate as a main dish. I loved the chicken it was juicy and flavorful. The shawarma, was a little over done on the spices but the meat was insanely tender.

We also had the garlic sauce, only get that if you love garlic otherwise it'll be too much.

For dessert I got their huge cookie which was really good!

I don't usually like gluten free food, but this spot nailed it perfectly, would recommend even to non gluten folks.

Atmosphere is beautiful, it definitely feels like you're somewhere else once you're inside or even in their outdoor area.

Staff was very friendly and more than helpful!

“Whenever I'm in Little Tokyo, I come here for the yummy fresh breads. The melon pan is like a Mexican concha, but with the sugary topping on top. The bread is so soft. Goes pretty well with some coffee. The Green Tea Roll Cake was delicious. It is a light, fluffy sponge cake flavored with Japanese matcha green tea powder, rolled into a cylinder, and filled with sweet cream. I also love getting the steam buns. I love getting the An Man, which is a sweet red bean. The taco man, which is beef and veggies, and the curry man, which is chicken and veggies. I highly recommend it if you're in Little Tokyo. The service is excellent.“

“If you’re looking for an allergy-friendly bakery, this is well worth the visit! We’re visiting from out of town and I just wish there was a place as just as careful as back home. I got really excited and got almost one of everything. There’s a small counter for sitting and eating. These were the first allergen free cupcakes I’ve eaten that don’t taste a little weird, which was so refreshing and exciting. Fun innovative flavors as well 💕“

“Food here is outstanding! We picked our food to go for an impromptu picnic at the park and enjoyed eveything. The carbonara was a knock out, very rich and decadent. All the pastries were yum, but the morning bun was our favorite. And the sandwiches are so well constructed with bread that was obviously baked fresh.

Only thing ill say is the patio is not good for large parties so if you intend to dine in, the seating there it ideal for parties of 2 or 4.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. “I was always curious about sandwiches sold at pho restaurants, and this place was my first. I will say it was a fantastic sandwich. I enjoyed every crispy bite with all the veggies in the sandwich followed by the rich savory fat taste of the pork belly. The service was pretty good too, I chose a table that was “dirty”, unintentionally, and the server cleaned it before I could mention it and bought me ice cold water as if he knew I was thirsty. “I rarely can find vegan sweets at theme parks. The Berry Tart appears to be more common, but they do offer some seasonal treats. The Berry Tart did have undisclosed nuts, pistachios. If you have allergies I would probably not go to this place. Based on my experience with other restaurants at Knotts, they do not take food allergies very seriously.“

So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“

“I had the best experience here at melrose bakery. I was searching online for Italian bread for sandwiches and found this gem. Nancy was super helpful, I ended up leaving with 2 giant loafs of sourdough bread. All for $5! I originally wanted rolls but those need to be ordered ahead of time. “So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“
