“We had Shrimp Scampi and Steak Pesto Cavatappi...I was snacking so I just got potstickers. Everything was very hot and flavorful. Our counter girl was very nice and helpfully accommodating. Even my iced tea was extra refreshing and satisfying. Huge entrée portions and quaint little outside patio for dining. Great place bring your appetite.“

“I visited Nonna Mercato for dinner and had a cozy and refined dining experience. The restaurant had a warm Italian-style atmosphere with a comfortable setting that felt inviting for a relaxed evening meal.

We ordered fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, salad, and sparkling drinks. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented. The pasta had rich flavor, the pizza crust was crisp and light, and everything tasted fresh and balanced. Portions felt satisfying without being overly heavy.

We indulged in a variety of items, including almond croissant, cinnamon croissant, chicken sandwich, eclair, cream cheese guava strudels, chicken croquettes, spinach puff pastry, biscuits, chicken empanadas, and wheat bread.

The biscuits were a standout, filled with gooey caramel and chocolate. The eclair was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Every bite was a blissful experience, thanks to the freshly baked, warm pastries.

While the chicken sandwich was a bit of a letdown compared to the other pastries, it was still enjoyable. Overall, this bakery offers an amazing experience and is definitely worth a visit.“

“This bakery is such a dangerous place if you love pastries because everything looks amazing the moment you walk in. There’s a huge variety of baked goods to choose from, and it honestly feels hard to leave with just one thing.

Everything I tried tasted fresh and homemade, with that perfect balance where the pastries feel rich and satisfying without being overly heavy. You can tell they put real care into both the flavor and presentation.

“The chocolate 2 layer cake with chocolate icing (or with vanilla icing, but the chocolate icing is the best) and sprinkles is INCREDIBLE. I'm normally not impressed by vegan cakes, but this one is genuinely so good. I'd serve it to anyone confidently!!

I order it every year for my bday and my friend's bday. It's the best vegan cake I've had in LA.

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. “While waiting for a show a couple blocks down at the belasco, we came here for a couple pre-showed drinks. The bartenders were excellent, the security outside was very friendly and helpful. Seating was no problem, though we arrived at 5:30 p.m. It did get much busier over the next one and a half hours.

What note that the bar can be ordered from both ends so often when there are six or seven people waiting on one end, a little hack to go to the other side will often get you quicker service. It is no fault of the bartenders, it's just that it takes a little time to order. Nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms. Will be back!“

“I like to stop at this donut place when I'm in the area. They have a large variety of donuts and they all look delicious. Prices are reasonable. I usually get a mocha ice blended drink. The man who helped me last time fulfilled my request to have the drink extra blended (sometimes the ice is too chunky to drink through a straw when it's not blended enough). He was kind about helping me out. The lady is so kind too. I was having a rough time one day and she shared some kind words with me that kept me going. This place isn't located in the best part of town, but other than that I have nothing but good things to say about it - the food and the staff in particular.“

I enjoyed every crispy bite with all the veggies in the sandwich followed by the rich savory fat taste of the pork belly. The service was pretty good too, I chose a table that was “dirty”, unintentionally, and the server cleaned it before I could mention it and bought me ice cold water as if he knew I was thirsty. Everything about this little hidden spot, on the second floor of the mall, was great.“

“I rarely can find vegan sweets at theme parks. The Berry Tart appears to be more common, but they do offer some seasonal treats. The Berry Tart did have undisclosed nuts, pistachios. If you have allergies I would probably not go to this place. Based on my experience with other restaurants at Knotts, they do not take food allergies very seriously.“

Nancy was super helpful, I ended up leaving with 2 giant loafs of sourdough bread. All for $5! I originally wanted rolls but those need to be ordered ahead of time. So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront.
