Normally health and allergen conscious bakeries fall short of normal ones but this one manages to taste better than normal bakeries. “I was at Heritage to celebrate a special occasion — the restaurant was cozy and homey. The kitchen was right in front of us, so the whole room was filled with different aromas. Both the service and food were great. The first few courses were delicious, adding a bit of extra excitement to the meal. That said, for a restaurant charging $195/person with a Michelin star, serving food and beverages on a cracked plate and in a chipped cup felt off. When I asked the staff about it, she gave me a smirk and downplayed it with some excuses and brushed it off. Better quality control may be needed as your guests deserve better.“

“This place is always busy. We find seating there at the counter and we do not need to wait for 20 minutes. We love the bean soup? And the apple pie was great.“

“Wow. Our entire experience was phenomenal, from our first interaction with the hostess to walking out the door.

Chef Walter has created a robust, impressive Italian menu, and Scott, the sommelier, was fantastic. His knowledge of wine really stood out to me, and his recommendations made the dining experience that much better. He picked the perfect bottle for our specific food and occasion. He clearly knows his wine and brings a level of expertise and enthusiasm that makes you appreciate the entire dining experience even more.

“As a gluten and dairy free girlie, I am obsessed with Twice Baked. I was able to order the wedding cake of my dreams! We had a two tiered lemon cake, with fresh raspberries and cream cheese frosting on the inside and vanilla butter cream on the outside. The design was exactly what I had asked for. The team was so helpful and communicative. albeit, not cheap, worth every penny! Most of our guests preferred this cake over the regular one was also served.“

“Came here while attending a conference at the Westin, looking for interesting coffee… and they certainly have that here. They had two different coffees on drip and I chose one from Uganda - I think my first time I’ve had a coffee from there. It was quite good. They have coffees from like 12 different countries they roast themselves at another location in bags for purchase. Really nice spaces indoors and out. Definitely recommend.“

“I came here right before closing (annoying, I know) looking for a chocolate bar I saw online called The Conscious Bar. Came for the chocolate, stayed for the story. I asked the owner too many questions about the shop and she patiently answered all of them explaining her vision is more than just to run a successful cafe but also to be a light in this community. I'll be coming back to try all the patries. It was very clean and comfortable inside too. Like an Oasis in the wilderness that is Valley View and Rosecrans.

UPDATE: I got the bottled honey oat latte and that was really good. Being lactose intolerant, it was nice to have something dairy free ready to grab and go instead of having to special-order it.

Also tried the blueberry cream cheese Cruffin. This is refrigerated because of the cream cheese I think. Cold croissants aren't usually that good, but this was light enough to enjoy cold and it has already been devoured, would get it again, but probably better with a hot drink. I bought a few more of the Conscious Bar chocolate bars.“

Unfortunately, during our visit, there was a family being extremely loud, with kids running up and down the restaurant, which made it a little difficult to fully enjoy the atmosphere. That said, I know that’s not something the restaurant can necessarily control.

Overall, Komo Cocina is an amazing spot with great food, drinks, and incredible staff. I would absolutely recommend it, and I’ll definitely be coming back! 🌮🍹✨“

“Worthy of a special trip! They took such care in their preparation. It’s not a glitzy place but the service was special. Counter order, lots of options. My wife and I stopped there as we were staying at the Hampton inn in the same area. I had a yellowtail roll along with tempura and my wife had the salmon. Vegetables were perfect presentation was spot on for casual dining and my roll was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect proportion of spicy tuna to yellowtail to rice. If I lived in the area I would go here at least once a week. Prices were also spot on and in many cases extremely reasonable. Bravo Kabuto!!! A special place!!“

“Industrial baking willing to do retail. Whats available on the spot varies daily. A better deal is to order one of their combos via the website. Individual bread pieces are fresh and generously large. Be prepared to buy and freeze some of it to eat. One last hint, right after turning at the handwritten sign, drive on thru all the way to the back. It is the last commercial building at the end. Don’t stop until you see the Melrose deliveries trunks 😉“

“I like to stop at this donut place when I'm in the area. They have a large variety of donuts and they all look delicious. Prices are reasonable. I usually get a mocha ice blended drink. The man who helped me last time fulfilled my request to have the drink extra blended (sometimes the ice is too chunky to drink through a straw when it's not blended enough). He was kind about helping me out. The lady is so kind too. I was having a rough time one day and she shared some kind words with me that kept me going. This place isn't located in the best part of town, but other than that I have nothing but good things to say about it - the food and the staff in particular.“

“I have been coming to Grounds Bakery & Cafe since the day they opened. They have some of the best fresh breads and pastries. Such a massive selection. My favorite are the sandwiches. Honestly the best tuna sandwich in the world. And literally, I mean the world- I have tried them everywhere. And their is not single place other then grounds that gets them right and perfect. “My husband and I had sweet traders provide a small cutting cake and dessert station for our wedding of 160+ guests. Working with them was extremely simple and the desserts were amazing! We did a quick cake tasting to pick our small cake and were able to taste some of the desserts for our dessert station. They had a ton of options, so it was hard to narrow it down because they were all so good! I received so many compliments about the dessert on our wedding day and they portioned everything really well. We even had some left overs which we were able to share with family and bring home after the wedding! We were also able to rent a cake stand, dessert stands and were are so glad we did because the arrangements were beautifully displayed and we didn’t even have to think about it on our wedding day. Sweet Traders even includes an anniversary cake and we are so looking forward to it next year! I couldn’t recommend Sweet Traders more and know that you will be in the best hands.
