“This was my first time here, and honestly, I’ve been to almost every Turkish restaurant across the America, I can easily put this one at the very top. The menu is huge, the place is spotless and well organized, and the design is modern and stylish. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, with generous and filling portions.

The highlight of our visit was Sefkan, the staff member who took care of us. He treated us with genuine hospitality and made us feel truly welcome just like a real host should.

Right next door, there’s also a dessert shop where you can find all the classic Turkish sweets and ice cream. Their desserts and ice cream were outstanding as well.

“Just stopped by to try them out for first time. Glad I did! Had the zereshk polo with chicken… top notch! Their rice and zereshk were great, but the chicken was super juicy and tender and they even have a tomato salsa that helps replace the need for my love of extra grilled tomatoes. “I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

Q) So, Rodney, where did you go for lunch?
A) To Pak.

A) No, to Pak. I went to Pak Halal in Artesia.

Q) Oh, I see. Was this your first time visiting?
A) Yes, Rodney. A few Muslim gym buddies o' mine kept recommending Pak Halal, so of course I had to give the place a shot.

Q) What did you order?
A) Being my first time, I gave the Special Dishes display a thorough perusing.

Knowing I wanted a beef or mutton entree, after much thought & deliberation, I went all in on Pak Halal's Beef Nihari.

Q) Rodney, how was the Beef Nihari?
A) Spiced tender beef, swimming in flavorful broth. I enjoyed the Beef Nihari. I prefer a solid amount of fat to meat, and the Beef Nihari had just what I was looking for. Ample portions, with enough to fill up on. Speaking of filling up, the ginormous Garlic Naan provided a lot of garlicky carbs, made all the more better when soaking up with the Beef Nihari broth

Q) How was the service, and what are the seating arrangements?
A) Rodney, the service was good. The wait wasn't unreasonable. Being a small deli, there is a table or two inside & outside. Pak Halal is more an order ahead, grab n' go eatery. The railing outside Pak Halal acts as a standing communal table, in which I used to dine on my meal.

Q) Rodney, would you recommend Pak Halal?
A) Absolutely, Rodney! The food was great at Pak Halal, and when I'm in a hurry and not looking for a sit-down restaurant experience, I know I can head over to Pak Halal and order something to go, or enjoy a quick meal on the railing, before life's troubles beckon me, elsewhere“

“This was a very pleasant visit with friends. Had very nice mocktails, very nice. very nice presentation. Presentation was great for all dishes. customer service was very very good too.

Dahi puri was a punchy, very flavorful. Goat cheese kulcha was very nice as well. Dahi puri though was the winner of the two.

Seekh kebabs were fine but nothing special. Then a tough choice between lamb rogan josh and shaniwari karahi with goat. in the end, very similar taste profiles but the winner was the karahi. also had some nice but nothing spectacular naan as well as chicken biryani which was stellar. very flavorful with tender chicken inside.

Presentation of dishes is very nice. Portions may be on the smaller side but if you want to have a bit more luxurious experience, def worth the visit.“

“Making the most out of this Covid-19 situation for pick-up. Order was secure, exact, and made fresh. They were backed up as when I first got there they were a little short staffed as The Friday Dinner rush was starting, but they kept their cool, their extra hand showed up, and they did well. Just make yourself visible so they got your name assuming you pre-ordered for pick-up. The short wait will not disappoint. And they definitely didn't forget my white sauce - always my biggest fear as it's truly the essence of this place!“

“I wasn’t expecting much from a small strip-mall Mediterranean spot, but The Green Olive blew me away. The chicken shawarma plate came with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and warm pita. The garlic sauce alone is worth a return visit. Service is fast and the prices are more than fair. One of those lunch places that ends up being way better than chain spots.“

“This is a small spot for eating middle eastern grilled dishes. We had the lamb chops and minced meat kebab. If you like Turkish or Persian or Middle East style dishes this is a good place. You will have to buy a beverage ($4 or $5 for soft drink) since they don’t offer free water. Parking is free at the strip mall lot.“
