This particular location is one of four joints that make up Uptown Commons in North LBC. They have innovative/different takes on traditional foods from the Philippines, Hawaiian Islands, Japan, Korea, and Louisiana no less. Crazy right? We ordered the Tapsilog Bowl, Pork Belly/Umami Gravy Bowl, Karaage Fried Chicken Bun, and Ube Upside Down Pie. Everyone of them was nicely portioned, tasty, and worth the price of admission. Place is not secure, homeless people going around the main dining area. Just order to go, unless you don't mind that. The people working here are efficient and friendly. And the food is as close to what I remember Tapsilog is back home. Not sweet and not salty. Just right.
