“This is hands-down one of the best places for convenient Mediterranean food that's affordable portion-wise and is quality and delicious. It's a hidden gem and workers are super nice to accommodate you. I really enjoyed the Chicken Kabobs which were decently sized, juicy, and well-seasoned. Hummus pairs well with the falafel. The falafel surprisingly had less of bean/chickpea taste and more cilantro (?)Overall, definitely coming back whenever I'm down for some fresh chicken kabobs with a side of pita. PLUS, they have 2 types of pita breads: white and wheat. I'm also coming back for the wheat pita“
“City of Paramount and local restaurants partnered up and gave away $50 gift cards. Lucky for me I scored on one, took advantage and chose Fatima's to finally try it out. The Downey location is always packed so I was happy to see a new location closer to me and hope I'd like it. My chile relleno burrito did not disappoint! I recently tried one at a different restaurant and felt the relleno was pointless and was not impressed. Fatima's burrito changed my perspective on that and the chile relleno with all the cheese was life! 4/5 only thing I wish they had was a good spicy/hot salsa to pair with it. I snagged the roasted hot jalapeno off my friends Chicken Kabob plate. Chicken 4/5 was good, juicy & flavor able but the rice 2/5 I was not a fan of. Tried the Birria Taco 3/5 they are generous with the meat because it came in 2 tortillas I was able to make 2 tacos out of the 1 and share it. The fish taco here was not to our liking. I do look forward to returning and trying other menu items. Also had good service.“

“Cuz I deserve deliciousness, and good healthy meals, and because I like to support small business owners, I come here. Sheesh, the warm kitchen smells entice as you approach and embrace upon entering. Today I went with a berry and an Acapulco smoothie. Both tart, sweet and wholesome. I was there at 11:30 on Sunday. There was no empty tables and just one couple a head of me. The beverage was ready in about 10". I love this place and encourage you to try it.“
“I loved everything about this place! As a vegan, it's great to have so many options to choose from. One of the best babaganoush I've had in a long time! The folks working were kind and attentive, we are outside on the patio which has enough reprieve from the sun with all the plants which have it a cute, welcoming atmosphere. After chaos of Disney parks, this was very welcomed. Highly recommend, 10/10 will come back again!“
“They currently have a Friday falafel deal where you can get five pieces for only one dollar the staff are super nice and the falafel was honestly worth it for a dollar and it also came with some tahini sauce on the side which was pretty good.Although this is more of a grab and go place with no seating inside, you can sit outside and there's this grass nice area with good benches.“
“So much to choose from! So happy two gentlemen outside recommended this one over the other place a couple doors down I was considering! I ordered a veggie baked potato with a side salad and I could not finish everything! $10!!! No added protein for me but there were plenty of options for additional $$. Ambiance- one table indoors, the rest is all outdoor, which was decent. I ate with no inconvenience at all! I was planning on getting a smoothie or fresh Agua Fresca after I was done but I was too full! They also have sandwiches/panini's and burgers, so something for everyone! “Admittedly, I've not tried the food yet but I had to come and leave a review about my recent experience. I placed an order online and the. Went today to pick it up. The two ladies in there working were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Bonus points for them answering all of my questions with care and also for letting me know to not put these meals directly into the freezer. Also, I had no problem with picking up my order. They were open and there was no delay or wait time. I can't wait to try my first meal for dinner and am looking forward to returning very soon.“

“I'll start off why I didn't give 5 stars. TOO MUCH SODIUM. I suppose this may be the reason why the meals are so good lol. It's a must to ensure you drink a lot of water if these meals are your go-to like they've become mine. My favs are the turkey taco bowl, and chicken shawarma. The last two times I went, unfortunately the chicken shawarma was out of stock which was a bummer. I do appreciate the buy 5 get 1 free and the discount for cumulative points. I think the meals are fairly priced and affordable so I hope they don't increase. If they could use less sodium they would definitely have 5 stars from me!“

I’m not nearby, nor do I work in the area, but when I really want the best shawarma- Zankou is the best at it.I can’t say that other restaurants who tout shawarma as an offering are lying or not authentic. It’s accurate to the region/country of that restaurant and then, I have to factor each family will have its own recipe. Does any one cornbread or meatloaf or pasta taste the same, in spite of authenticity? That said, no place to date, no matter what region or family or spin has come close to beating zankou at the kabab, lule (basically a ground beef kabab), or chicken tarna (the most popular) or beef or full chicken as Zankou has…Their recipes are top notchBasmati rice top notchTabouli ton notch. Tabouli is a fine parsley salad that for some reason or another is hit or miss in any Mediterranean cuisine. Having the perfect ratio of parsley, tomato, onion, and cucumber, and the right amount (substantial and also essential: seasoning (lemon, salt, oil), are keys to the success, along with the very fine chop.Hummus- greatMutabal - an eggplant version of hummus (my favorite) and they make it outstandingThe wraps are great, if it’s your first time, get a falafal wrap and get a beef, chicken tarna, lule or kabab plate it tastes great days later and it’s easier than driving back for more. lol. ?This particular location is outdated in terms of scenery inside. It wouldn’t hurt them to upgrade it- it looks the same way as it did when I was a kid- so 20 years later is a good time to bring it up to date.Finally, while ordering ahead is probably smarter if you are ordering for lunch, but it’s more pricey. To be expected because of operation costs/wages etc. just bear this in mind. On a normal day: not busy but not slow, takes about 15 minutes (ordering directly from the cashier to your name being called).Well worth your money. You can use any left overs and store it for the week. Make a salad dressing out of the extra tahini or use it for other sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. “Their food tasted good but portions are a little small for the price. My husband did like it but he said it was too pricey. They have lots of options and choices and if you are looking for a healthy place to eat, come check it out. Service was friendly but a little slow.“
“Zankou Chicken has been a favorite LA county place. It’s fast, nutritious, and delicious! You can’t pass it up. Their chicken is flavorful, juicy on the inside and crispy skin on the outside. Their tabuleh is so well season, lots of lemon, never dry and their pickles are a nice addition to the meal. I’m so glad they opened in Long Beach so folks don’t have to drive up to LA anymore.“
“I’m so so sorry for all those that miss out on this little gem tucked away in this little strip mall cause you’re certainly missing out on some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in ages. Superblylicious!!! The place is small and very unassuming and in fact I thought I had walked in the wrong place if not for the yummalicious smell of the food in the air that had pulled me further in…my son picked this place out but I’d been wanting to try it for several months. I had the Lamb kabab dinner my son had the steak and then ordered a chicken kabab on the side. They were so delicious and tender I will order all 3 again. Yep. All THREE and share. Oh oh…the Garlic potatoes are off the rocker. So Ah-May-Zing! One order is enough for 2 people. But let’s talk hummus…seriously let’s talk. I love hummus and they do hummus. 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ for the hummus. So to recap we ordered the kabab dinner which are served over a huge bed of fluffy flavored rice with a grilled onion and tomato, huge serving of hummus ❤️ plus pita bread, salad, pickled spicy onions and the best garlic dip EHVERRRR! They have wraps, bowls and all kinds of items. The food is done right and I’m already planning to go back this week. They have 2 other locations. The one in Long Beach is a larger restaurant that is a larger dine in serves wine and beer. Going to try there too.“
