About Rasarumah

Rasarumah is an excellent spot for Malaysian cuisine in Los Angeles, though the dishes can be on the pricier side. The Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang is a standout, with a flavorful and pleasantly sweet sauce that pairs well with the tender beef. The Fried Hainan Chicken is also a highlight, featuring a perfectly crispy exterior and tender meat, complemented by a decent garlic scallion sauce.

While the Char Kway Teow has a slight spicy kick, the flavor is otherwise just okay, and the portion size is small. The Pork Jowl Skewer offers a decent smoky flavor, and the Chicken Meatball Skewer is enhanced by the tasty pineapple peanut sauce.

Customers praise the restaurant's warm and cozy atmosphere, as well as the attentive and friendly service. The Mushroom Clay Pot Rice is a crowd-pleaser, with every grain of rice perfectly charred and crispy. The Pupu Platter and Crab Rangoon also receive high marks for their unique and flavorful offerings.

Despite the higher prices, Rasarumah provides an enjoyable dining experience and introduces customers to new and exciting flavors in Malaysian cuisine. The restaurant's popularity is evident, though parking can be a challenge, so visitors may need to seek out street parking.

Certain songs felt a little loud but mostly the music was fine for chatting. Service was excellent. Look forward to returning!

literally everything about this place is amazing. if more restaurants were like this (food, service, ambience) the world would be a better place and people would be happier.

Out of body experience eating the wagyu beef rendang here... the beef was so soft, flavorful, and tender. It paired perfectly with the roti. Would definitely come back just to eat this dish again.

We also got the stir fried noodle and pupu platter. The stir fried noodle was not bad but I definitely recommend ordering the platter to try a bunch of different appetizers. Everything was amazing. The crab rangoon actually tasted like crab.

Finally for dessert we got the...read full review
