Rasarumah is an excellent spot for Malaysian cuisine in Los Angeles, though the dishes can be on the pricier side. The Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang is a standout, with a flavorful and pleasantly sweet sauce that pairs well with the tender beef. The Fried Hainan Chicken is also a highlight, featuring a perfectly crispy exterior and tender meat, complemented by a decent garlic scallion sauce.
While the Char Kway Teow has a slight spicy kick, the flavor is otherwise just okay, and the portion size is small. The Pork Jowl Skewer offers a decent smoky flavor, and the Chicken Meatball Skewer is enhanced by the tasty pineapple peanut sauce.
Customers praise the restaurant's warm and cozy atmosphere, as well as the attentive and friendly service. The Mushroom Clay Pot Rice is a crowd-pleaser, with every grain of rice perfectly charred and crispy.
