Went there around 8:15pm on Saturday night, they close at 10pm.Beef brisket was delicious!Beef tri-tip not to my taste but that’s individual I guess.Mash potatoes great.Brussel Sprouts too sweet and leafyIt was my first time there and I spent 30 minutes and left. Great BBQ spot. This was a good restaurant with good food and drinks. I just expected more in flavor. The mashed potatoes needed more kick with either a gravy or pepper, the BBQ sauce need more variety with one being too sweet and the other very typical. My biggest criticism is the the sauces were cold and the meat was not steamy.Cocktails were great though, service was keen and polite. Smoke City Char Bar provided a comfortable,attractive dining choice in DTLA. The varied menu offered a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides. The pulled pork was delicious as were the baked beans and macaroni salad. The brussel sprouts were also a hit at our table.
