“I visited Nonna Mercato for dinner and had a cozy and refined dining experience. The restaurant had a warm Italian-style atmosphere with a comfortable setting that felt inviting for a relaxed evening meal.
We ordered fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, salad, and sparkling drinks. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented. The pasta had rich flavor, the pizza crust was crisp and light, and everything tasted fresh and balanced. Portions felt satisfying without being overly heavy.
The service was attentive and professional. Orders were handled smoothly, and the pacing of the meal felt calm and well-managed.
Overall, Nonna Mercato is a great dinner spot if you want fresh Italian flavors, a cozy ambiance, and a polished casual dining experience.“

“Long-standing bakery in Chinatown that’s probably become LA iconic spot to visit when around the area. Interestingly they might have kept most design unchanged so you could totally felt it in the store vibe.
It’s constantly busy throughout the day but they served very speedily and they had plenty of servers making the line moving in a blink. Good news, they weren’t cash only like typical similar store around the area.
They’re popular for the strawberry cream cake, but I chose to go with the custard bun and wintermelon pie as I wasn’t a fan of that kind of cream and spongecake.
The bun was fluffy and moist and tasted as good as the scent we could smell when walking around the bakery. Always loved when simple old-school stuff turned out good and stuck with people’s liking. The wintermelon pie base somewhat reminded me of the crumbly style mooncake skin, just that this one had unique filling. I loved wintermelon as a drink but this was my first time having it as pie!“

“Marsha was incredible. We were looking for someone who could provide all the dessert for our wedding, bring us something other than a traditional wedding cake experience, and also bring some extra flair to our big day. Marsha did all that and more. Our cake table was decorated so beautifully! She made the most delicious cupcakes of all different flavors for our guests to enjoy. She even made an ADORABLE cake topper for us that everyone raved about. In addition, Marsha made us a gorgeous, delicious, moist 3 layer cake , and she even was able to bring a ROLLED ICE cart too! People could not get over how cool it was to have rolled ice cream at our wedding, especially because Marsha had extra cupcakes to put in with the ice cream. She was so collaborative, easy to work with, and fun. Everything we asked her to do, she accommodate, often gently giving her sage advice along the way. We could not possibly recommend Marsha any higher than we do. She is absolutely incredible and soooo many people raved about their experience with her at our wedding. 10/10 for everything!!“

“I bought a 3/4 photo cake sheet cake for a baby shower. It came out very cute and perfect. The staff was extremely sweet and a girl with black hair and tattooed (I didn’t catch her name) even helped take it to the car! She was very sweet. The cake itself was very delicious. We got 1/2 vanilla & 1/2 chocolate with buttercream filling. Adding in the extra costs of a custom photo picture, custom color of the frosting, the size and etc it came out to be $170. I’m extremely pleased with the cake and staff in this location. It was well worth the money!“

“I ordered my vegan birthday cake one week ahead of the date needed, and the cake was ready on time for pick up. This vegan baker is an artist, and working with her to design the cake was very easy, I let her lead the process and the cake was incredibly beautiful.
I don’t think I could have gotten a more beautiful cake even in Los Angeles City.
The cake was delicious, moist, flavorful and a decadent treat. The pickup was quick, and packed to perfection including a no slide patch in side the box so the decorations were not damaged in transport. Decor, a candle, matches, and a cutting knife were all included. The whole process was top notch professional. The attention to detail and presentation showed this bakers passion for her work. I feel that the price was 100% worth it, and competitive for the going rate. The party was awed by the cake, so money well spent. I will definitely be ordering again! Too bad I didn’t get a photo before we cut the cake!
I almost forgot to mention that when the cake was served, the room fell silent because everyone was taken away with how yummy the cake was.“

The Bread: This is a classic Korean-style bakery. While they do not have various types of bread or a massive selection compared to some of the larger cafe chains, the options they do have are very tasty. They focus on doing a few traditional staples well.
Logistics:
Location: Super convenient location—it is situated right next to BCD on Western. It is a perfect spot to grab a sweet treat after a meal next door.
Parking: A massive plus for this busy area of Koreatown is that there is a good parking area in the plaza, making it very easy to get in and out quickly.
Verdict:
A great, no-frills Korean bakery with tasty bread and the huge perk of an easy parking lot right on Western Avenue.“

The combination of sweet & salty was heavenly to my senses. I usually don't like things cloyingly sweet, so the saltiness helped damper the sugar content. Pleasing with each bite, I immensely enjoyed Baskin-Robbins' Game Time ice cream.Service was good. Wait was none existent, as there were no other customers, at the time. Parking is a little tight in the one way lot. Baskin-Robbins is located in between Adalberto's & Pep Boys.A scoop of ice cream in August is a must. More so when it's free! Baskin-Robbins always delights me with their birthday promo, and the difficult part is deciding on which flavor to choose. New, artisan ice cream shops have popped up like weeds, but Baskin-Robbins is still the classic mainstay that still delivers the goods.“

“Haven’t had Cold Stone in a while. Got the Strawberry Blonde in the largest size (about 12oz) and was surprised it’s now $12.79, almost the price of a lunch! (I usually stick to grocery-store Häagen-Dazs when it’s on sale.)
The Strawberry Blonde is super rich and delicious, more than enough to satisfy my ice cream cravings. The largest size is definitely big enough to share between 2–3 people, and for an occasional treat, it’s actually pretty great.”
