“My expectations were kind of low because I gave a one week notice and they didn't get back to until two days later but WOW I was mind blown when I first saw it. I had a lot of requests and gave a few reference pictures and they freaking delivered. More specifically, BECKY DELIVERED. It was for my boyfriend's 30th birthday so I wanted to do something special and let me just tell you, he loves me even more. I was most impressed by the rice she created. She hand piped the frosting to every single one to make it look more realistic. The visuals are obviously amazing but it was also delicious. I got the red velvet with the cream cheese and I was skeptical of the taste because of the other reviews but it was actually very good. My boyfriend has a huge sweet tooth and he couldn't stop eating it and we gave it to his friends to take home and they personally messaged me saying how good it was. So safe to say, they all love me too and now, I am now fully welcomed.“

“This is now my favorite bakery after this visit. I initially found this bakery through togoodtoogo, and have stopped by 2-3 times since then. Today I used the same service and picked up a box, there was a problem my end so he remade a box with some extra goodies. I also ordered the box knowing I was about to buy something for a friends birthday, I was pretty lost on what my friend would like, so Joseph guided me through all the options explaining everything. He went above and beyond what was needed and it felt welcoming. As I was leaving I was talking about how I wanted to try the fruit tart on my next visit, he caught me as I was walking out the door and offered me a small sample, I've never had this experience at any bakery. This honestly made my day and for now on I'll always recommend it. Service aside, the food is also amazing and impresses me with every new thing I try. Thank you Joseph.“

“This review is really for their "Koroke" since that's the only thing I got. They have two versions: the traditional fried one and a healthier baked alternative. Do yourself a favor and go with the fried.... much better! It brought back so many childhood memories. It was incredibly delicious and packaged well. The lady was very kind in showing me the options available, but I only came to get that. I look forward to coming back and getting more Koroke along with trying some of the other options. She was very sweet and passionate about her baking. I originally came in for macaroons, but had recommended her newest creations. These brownies were delicious, gooey in the middle and not too sweet. She said there’s some of the best she’s ever had amazing for it being gluten-free, which is hard to find. Most gluten-free stuff is dry and horrible. This place deserves 10 stars. Cute little persian mom/pop bakery with its own parking lot (so convenient for quick pop-ins)There was only 1 person in when I got there, so very attentive service. The owner lady came out to tell me about the flavor of the cakes and pricing. Not overly sweet, but just the right amount. What I got: Tiramisu cake + cookies-- I read the reviews that their cookies were really good, so tried some baklava and 1 other cookie (personally thought it was OK). For my personal taste, thought baklava was too sweet but think this is how it's supposed to be?-- Tiramisu got good reviews from the group; not overly sweet and was with nicely textured ladyfingers (large cost me $55, smaller cakes were $42)-- 3 baklava pieces + 2 cookies = $6Think it was a tad expensive for what I got? Perhaps on another round of cake buying, would try Susie Cakes in the neighborhood to see what that hype is about! But good to support mom/pop and have some different variety. As I was leaving, lots of other people came in - think this is quite a popular bakery w/ the Persian community“

“I believe this business was recently sold by the owners who were initially there for years. Allegedly they left for retirement reasons. In any case, I was referred to this place by a friend who had been going there for all this years. They are under new ownership now and according to my friend they are doing a very good job. I have to agree. My birthday is august 23 and it was during the COVID-19 quarantine. Thankfully, they were still open and I was able to order a custom cake. The cake was D E L I C I O U S. Probably one of the best birthday cakes I've had so far. It was a chocolate cake with Bavarian cream and I believe buttercream fondant and buttercream icing. I had a very specific request and they were able to provide it. It was excellent in its presentation, size, design, color, and above all taste. The price is fairly reasonable too considering all the above. I can't wait for my next birthday so I can order from them again. Thank you!“

“It's Lady M!! by far best chess cake ever had. The taste is on par with Lady M in NY next to Central Park. Overall really awesome desserts, but be prepared to pay the absolute premium for it too. “We had our wedding in Long Beach this past July and worked with our local Ben & Jerry's location manager, Kathy Yoon, to arrange for a scoop cart to cater part of our dessert course. Kathy was incredibly friendly and informative, and as our wedding day got closer she directed us to this LA location to finalize the orders, because the Long Beach location would not have been able to fulfill it anymore. This wasn't a problem at all, as she was already working behind the scenes to confirm the four flavors we wanted with this LA shop, and was securing the two servers that would be commuting down to Long Beach that evening to treat our guests. I also called ahead to this location to arrange for a small ice cream cake to be added to the order as our separate wedding cake, and was treated so kindly by the employee that fielded my order. When all was said and done the scoop cart and cake arrived on time, the servers were incredibly friendly and seemed happy to be there, and all of our guests were super stoked to enjoy Ben & Jerry's for dessert & also to help cool down on what ended up being a pretty hot night. Thanks to all who helped make our wedding such a success, and next time we are up in the area we will be sure to come by for a scoop or two (or six).“

“Viktor Benes in Pali has been my go to bakery for Birthday cakes and hamantaschen for many years. I have never been disappointed. The quality is consistent, the cakes are pretty looking, not too sweet and the dough is perfect. I have also very much enjoyed many of their black and white, rugelach, bagels and other breads. Sometimes when at Gelson's I just stop there to watch all their pretty looking pastries and obviously end up buying a few for my family and I. Miam!“
“COLDSTONE CREAMERY is a very popular ice cream and gelato parlor just steps from the beach AT Washington Square (36 Washington Blvd) and the number is (310) 823-2464. This was the first time in a long time I have been to the place and my friend's daughter wanted some ice cream and she had a medium cup, two big scoops of Coffee and Chocolate with Marshmallows. With Tax the price was $8.76 and the help while few are very nice. They do have a Rewards program online, but I like when you have a card to hand them. RECOMMEND!“
