“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
“Food and service was excellent, highly recommend! My sister and I live in SD but were in Santa Monica for the day and stopped here for lunch. I got the cobb salad and my sister got the West Coast wrap and both were excellent. We both also got the Ginger Turmeric Lemonade which we couldn't rave enough about. We loved the soft hits of the ginger and turmeric, not overpowering, and it wasn't too sweet like other lemonades.Overall, the food was excellent and I couldn't say enough about how great the service was.I wish there was a location in SD so we could stop by for lunch more often but we'll definitely make sure to stop by again when were up in Santa Monica.“
“I must have died and gone to doughnut heaven. The donut texture is fluffy with a pleasant slight chew, and not oily or too sweet for the most part. Most were priced $4-5 each but I find it worth it for the quality of the ingredients. Our favorites are the misugaru (roasted soybean) because it's mild and nutty and has a chewy filled mochi inside. The black sesame is also intensely nutty with a chewy mochi inside too. My wife loves the sweet potato cream the most because it has fresh sweet potato puree along with milk cream, and it's the Korean/Japanese sweet potato that's delightfully sweet and nutty.Tiramisu had plenty of rich cocoa powder accompanying the tangy cream (probably cream cheese mixed in it?). The bitterness of the cocoa was the best together with the cream. The strawberry milk cream had a small amount of strawberry pieces but the cream was so milky rich yet light at the same time. The blueberry one is the exact same except with a few blueberries so I slightly prefer the strawberry one.Matcha creme brulee had strongly flavored matcha cream but I'm not too much of a fan of the sugar crust top. I might still try the regular creme brulee next time to compare the regular custard. Our least favorite was the apple cinnamon because the icing was too sweet but the presentation was beautiful with the pieces of apple inside. We saw quite a line build up after us at 10am so I'd come early since they open at 9am until they sell out! The parking lot is nice and big so it wasn't any trouble finding parking. The mall also has other interesting stalls like a kimbap and udon one if you need some savory to offset the sweet.“
“Omg so so so so good. All vegan donuts are fresh and made to order. I appreciate the local ingredients. I was supposed to attach a photo with this review but I ate them all in like 2.5 seconds. Also had the fizz drink and it was *chef's kiss*“
“I was introduced to Sidecar Doughnuts in 2017. I have been a fan since. My favorite donut from them remains to be the Saigon Cinnamon Crumble. It is more of a cake-like texture and I like almost anything cinnamony. This donut tastes more like coffee cake. Coffee and sugar are my staples for everyday living. So, it is almost impossible for me not to love this donut as it has my basic necessities wrap up in one perfect little package! This time I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee to go with the donut. It didn't taste like a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee. Instead, it tasted more like an iced latte. So if you are looking for a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee, don't get it from there. Don't get me wrong, it was still good coffee just not what the name said it was. This location is off Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica about 7 blocks from the beach. I really like their packaging as well. The boxes the donuts come in are modern and simple with bold gold letters of the store's name. This location is small and has seating outside. There is metered parking on the street. Service was just okay. I wish the people working there could have been more friendly. All in all, this premium donut chain that started in Costa Mesa in 2012 is still very popular and is definitely worth trying for the first time, and going back for me!“
“Special place. Tiny place. Incredible selection. Top two donut places in the city by my count. Best cinnamon roll and jelly donuts in town. Never been much for the celestial donuts but they certainly make for a pretty display. Their breakfast sandwiches are definitely not the star but a good addition. The staff is great, too. Really kind and patient, and when there are sooooooooo many choices that it a really good thing. Definitely going here again.“
“4 assorted donuts / 1 glazed, 1 reese peanut butter, 1 cinnamon sugar o-nut (cronut), 1 nutella strawberry o-nut - 5 ⭐!DK's Donut & Bakery in Santa Monica is an excellent, family-owned 24-hour donut shop and cafe that has been in business for over forty years. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts.Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches. The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh. The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!“
“You could miss it driving past but DON'T! New owner has had it for about 3yrs and our family has been enjoying his donuts every chance we get! Today we finally tried his breakfast offerings. We ordered a sausage burrito and a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Both were made to order and yummy. Definitely worth a short wait to get a freshly made breakfast.“
“I am so glad I finally got to try Alfalfa! If you're looking for a healthy, stress free (there's a parking lot!), pretty in pink, zen-like breakfast, lunch, or dinner - Alfalfa is it. They also have a location in Santa Monica if you're in that part of town. For my bevvy I tried the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte which was wonderful. I also got the Buffalo Goddess Wrap with medium dressing. The only thing I wish I did was add avocado which I was planning on doing but slipped my mind when ordering. This wrap was SO fresh and light but also had lots of flavor. I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I had to get a donut. Got the maple walnut - this was the only thing that tasted a liiiitle off. Maybe because it was gluten free? But when you have it with the coffee it makes it better. Prices are pretty normal for LA. The staff was absolutely lovely. Since it was my first time I had a few questions and they were able to help me pick out the perfect meal.“
“TMJ Café - A Haven for Donut Lovers If there's one thing you must try at TMJ Café, it's their Maple Bacon Donut. This delightful treat is nothing short of phenomenal. The donut itself is pillow-soft, providing the perfect canvas for the rich, sweet and savory toppings. The maple glaze is expertly balanced - not too sweet, just perfectly syrupy, complementing the crispy, savory bacon on top. Each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that leaves you craving more. The ambiance of TMJ Café adds to the experience, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's clear that they put a lot of love and care into their baked goods. And if the Maple Bacon Donut is anything to go by, the rest of their menu promises to be just as delightful. In summary, TMJ Café is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their Maple Bacon Donut is a standout, and I am eagerly looking forward to indulging in the rest of their delicious offerings. Oh goodness gracious, this is a donut lover's dream come true!“
“Forget corporate franchise donuts, come here for soft, tasty, huge, and sweet donuts without paying gourmet prices. Some of the best I've had. Too bad I live thousands of KMs away, otherwise I'd make this a regular spot on the way to work.“
“been coming here for about 20 years. the main reason is the consistency of the food they serve here. over the years with travels, I have found higher quality and / or varieties at other local Chinese spots. However, if you want a tired and true experience, you can bank on Randy's.“
“BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH IN LAI thought I was in NYC when I came here. Very nice Asian couple owns and operates this joint in the heart of LA. Very nice people I can tell they pour love into everything they make. The sandwich has a perfect texture, they toasted the croissant and added mayo to my Sausage, egg, and cheese. Light crisp from the croissant compliments the chewiness from the sausag, egg and cheese. It was so good. I could have this everyday!!Donuts are great too, best variety in town. Coffee is delicious. I added epsresso to my boba chai tea. Great combo!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“Got a Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken, Original (White) with Potato & sugar, plus a Churro Donut & a soda. Let me start with the donut because it was really good. It was chewy inside and not overly sweet like most donuts, the fine grain sugar on top was absolutely delicious. The hot dog was really good too. Very interesting mix of flavors, I normally don't like sugar on meat but they balance it out pretty well to where it's just a little hint of it. Everything was cooked really well nice and hot, savory with a hint of sweet Small place located in the 2 floor plaza, with extra parking downstairs. Service was ok, it was quiet when i went. It's pretty affordable for the portions. Located in a 2 floor plaza with underground parking“
“they're just wonderful! i have been visiting bittiebitez for about a year and ive always been satisfied with the quality of their warm mini donuts. its so fun to watch the donuts fall into the fryer through the large glass window in the front of the truck. they're always so very nice here, i'm always so happy to stop by when they're in town. they post the truck schedule on their instagram every week, they're pretty mobile so they might even come by you! if you're looking for a fun pack of mini donuts for you or to share, this is the spot! delicious donuts and great value in larger quantities;)“
“The Kettle Glaze place is one of the best surely everyone loves. It’s the best place to buy deliciously made donuts, drinks freshly made at an affordable rate. From the staff friendly, knowledgeable, and warm welcoming. Excellent service and foods great.“
“Christy's is my wife's and my favorite donut shop. My personal favorite is their apple fritter. My wife is super basic and likes their traditional donuts like their maple bars and old fashions. I'm glad that we can support this small ma and pop shop. They do get busy and their supply doesn't last.... You really do have to be there by 9am for a decent selection.“
“I had a glazed old fashioned and chocolate donut with sprinkles. Delicious- one of the best donuts I've had in Southern California, period. The donuts here are doughy but not heavy, not overly sweet but just right with a slightly crumbly moist mouth feel. Their consistency and flavour reminded me of Boston area donuts, and the chocolate donut actually tastes like chocolate.Fantastic, will be back, and could not recommend enough.“
“Awesome gluten free donuts.... In a variety of flavors.... And never fried! My favorite is pancakes & syrup, strawberry shortcake and of course... Churro! Their all-natural, Fotella (Nutella alternative), is also awesome. Order your sourdough early, because they sell out early. Highly recommend.“
“How have I never review Randy’s!? I grew up down the street so these donuts have always been a staple in my family. Chubby little me would be so excited to see my dad walk in with that pink box of goodies on a random weekend morning.I bring my kids here and just grab one or two as a treat before a day of running errands but if you’re in town visiting, these are a must. They’re so delicious. No frills, although they do have an expanded and updated menu with fancy donuts. I usually just get the chocolate long john ? they’re fresh and moist inside and the frosting is so good and thick. There’s something nostalgic about this place for me and I have visited the other franchise locations but the OG will always be my favorite.“
“The folks at this location are very nice, kind customer service and a welcoming vibe. The donuts are just classic, fresh donuts. I like to bring them to my students and they love them every time. I know the prices may have gone up, but Pavilions down the street is actually more expensive and these ones are better.“
“Beautiful donuts with beautiful owners! This is such a hidden gem in Los Angeles for specialty donuts. Not to mention they go above and beyond by also having stumptown cold brew coffee, smoothies, croissants, and panini sandwiches! The donuts have the trifecta of variety, value, and deliciousness. They have extremely unique flavors such as crème brûlée, maple bacon, matcha, lemon poppy seed. There's bound to be something here for everyone.Parking lot has plenty of spaces, which is rare in downtown. Coming here will leave you with no regrets!“
“A solid donut. From the outside this place looks like a typical donut shop but the inside is quite nice. We came in the evening which is probably the worst time to come for donuts since they are usually on low supply or a few hours to a whole day old. We ordered one chocolate donut and 1 glazed donut and both were super delish. Even after being there for a while they were soft and sweet. The lady at the front was super nice too. Always love supporting a small business.“
“I've been coming here for years and this place is always so consistently fresh and yummy. The donuts are awesome and compared to bigger donut places, this small shop does it better. Every time I grab a dozen donuts and bring it to friends and family, everyone wants to know where I get my donuts and I tell them about Jon's. The owners are always so friendly and I enjoy talking to them every time I stop by.“
“Absolutely excellent donuts. I tried the Valhrona chocolate crunch, and I must that it's the first time in my trip in the US that I tasted a donut with an icing that actually tastes like good chocolate. Perfect for your chocolate and/or donut craving. However -1 star for the price, more than 5$ for a donut is too much on the expensive side to be forgiven by the good taste.“
“Went here based on the reviews because I prefer the flavor of real donuts compared to the little Krispy ones. First off, my cinnamon roll was excellent. However, there were absolutely no bars i.e., chocolate, maple, nor were there any buttermilks. I was there before 9a on a Saturday! I would understand if it was after 10 but the selection seemed scant. Oh and for those babies crying about cash only, grow up and carry a $20 like a grown up! Overall a good donut but they need to avoid going bare minimum.“
“when walking into the shop you feel an increased sense of wellbeing. as you enter the sweet sweet scent of powdered sugary donut bliss enters your nostrils. you look down at them beautiful round little pastries and you smile. donuts in all shapes and colors. you decide to order and your greeted by this amazing angel sent from heaven. she smiles at you and is so patient with your order. you proceed to order and then you pay. you gasp when you realize that each donut is just $1,5. you get your beautiful donut so fast so quickly. you look inside the donut bag only to realize that this sweet lady has given you not only the donut you ordered, but also, not one, but THREE donut holes for free. this woman is my new religion and i praise her. this made my day, my week, maybe even my 2024. you are insane if you’re not getting your donuts here every day by the end of this year. thank you for your time.“
“I used to wait until 2am to buy donuts from the donut chain stores because I loved how fluffy and soft they were fresh but after finding Dough Boy Donuts, I don't have to do that anymore!Dough Boy's donuts are soft and fluffy all-day-long. I can walk in and grab a donut at 5pm and it still the softest donut for miles. They use a high quality flour for their donuts and it really makes the difference.Sometimes when I'm not in the area and want a donut I'll stop somewhere else and get some. They are never as good as Dough Boy's and half the time I have to spit out these other shop's donuts because of how terrible they are in comparison. If I'm eating the calories I don't want to waste them on some other store's tough, sub-par donut. It's Dough Boy's all the way.“
“I only gave this donut shop a 4 star from the atmosphere it sits in. Has always been a drug area from the VA down. But, their donuts ? are great and the service is fast. ? The parking lot is small though and can get packed sometimes. Overall, it's a good place to get a great donut.Parking: Lot is small and has homeless around all day. I don't mind the homeless, but there are some people on drugs walking around parking lot.“
“This place gets 5 stars because the husband and wife couple who own this shop are the nicest and most pleasant people. They work very hard from the very early morning, but have a great smile of appreciation for all the customers who visit their shop.Parking: Parking is easy in the AM, before other businesses in the strip mall open.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“This place has the best donuts I've had in a very long time. We tried the glazed donut holes, strawberry nutella cronut, and the blueberry cheesecake donut and we were blown away at the flavor and freshness. I will no longer crave Krispy Kreme nor the sham that is called Randy's Donuts ever again.“
“Good donuts but its hard to get one in the morning cuz of all the men hanging around looking for work and playing lottery ,(Also young cashier does not get the tips we give her the owner gets them ) its not fair i think the little girl that serves us and wakes up in the morning to take care of us should get all the tips“
“We have lived here in Hawthorne for over 16 years and love Vicky's Donuts. From when they provided free donut holes for our preschoolers until now, the services are excellent, the donuts are fresh, and the location is convenient. The family that works there is so friendly, and so are all those who work for them. We highly recommend Vicky's Donuts!“
“As I've said in the past, you can't go wrong with donut shops or restaurants in strip malls. They rarely disappoint and I can add Rose Donuts to my list. When I go in the shop it is clean and organised. I don't usually wait long when I'm there. Service is fast and friendly. Donuts are tasty and are fairly priced. They are open really early and there's plenty of parking.“
“Visited for the first time this morning and had a great experience. I had the number 3 breakfast sandwich, which is egg, bacon and cheese on a croissant. It was all very good. I also bought an apple fritter which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff, and even the other customers, were very friendly. I'm not usually in this area, but when I return I will definitely go here again.“
“My coworker brought doughnuts from Top Donuts to the office and WOWEE! I haven had a glazed twist this good in nearly a year. It was so good I ate *another* doughnut. Winchell's changed their recipe and now their texture is tough, dense, and kind of doughy (like "Famous" Randy's on Manchester) and they also now cut GIANT holes in their doughnuts to do a secret price raise, so they're a no-go. Keep up the good work Top Donuts and we'll keep buying! (And stamp your name and contact info on your boxes so people know who you are when they come across your abfab doughnuts in waiting rooms and offices)“
“Small hole in the wall donut shop with sandwiches and ice cream options. Tons of soda options that you don't see everyday(at least not for me). Great spot to stop by in the morning for your coffee, croissant sandwich, and a couple scratchers“
“It was my first time there I wanted a little breakfast before I got my hair done. I ordered a bagel and 2 glazed doughnuts because they didn't have a big selection of donuts at that time. But I did get 2. The bagel was really good toasted, with light cream cheese. The lady, most likely the owner, was really pleasant and nice, and she gave me a Little-good luck charm. With my purchase. Whenever I'm in that area of Lawndale, I will be going there.“
“The gentleman who answered my call last week was outstanding. Because I was on a short layover in LA, I did not have the chance to go in person, as with my previous trips. I, therefore, ordered through Ubereats. I was looking for an item not offered as an option and also had a question about doughnut ingredients. Although, I am certain I gave off a harried vibe, he was so pleasant and accommodating. He offered to assemble my order and said he would start prepping, so the delivery driver could grab and go. My entire order was in perfect condition when I received it. Thank you so much! Thank you also for including the store receipt, so that I know how outrageous the sum of fees I paid for delivery were! YIKES. Hopefully, Sidecar will one day offer local delivery, so that the well-deserved profits can stay in house.“
“So glad we found this place for my son's 5th birthday! We put in an order just a few days before our event and texted over the design and letters we wanted. My son was having a Spider-Man themed birthday party and these were perfect. They were also pretty tasty! Very light and not too heavy.“
“The donut shop is top-notch with 5-star everything – clean and tasty food, refreshing Strawberry Banana and Mango smoothies, great iced coffee, and a killer croissant sandwich. The staff is super friendly, adding to the cozy vibe. It's just a really nice spot for a treat. Definitely worth checking out! ??“
“89° bicycling for doughnuts I discover one of the few remaining Maggie's doughnut shops.... The post apocalypse atmosphere was buffeted by the friendly service and satisfying yeasty texture of the hint of citrus glazed raised doughnut.... I can face another chapter...“
“I live abroad but am from LA and wanted to send donuts to dear friends upon the passing of a beloved colleague. Delicious Donuts associate Patricia helped me with my order and even went out of her way to place my note of condolences onto a card to be delivered with the donuts. We had a bit of a hiccup and had to redo the whole thing a couple of days later. Patricia gladly facilitated this a second time. Her communication with me was prompt, polite, and supportive--truly excellent service and a real comfort to those of us who are grieving this loss.“
“We were on our way home and saw this donut shop was still open late. The drive thru was taking too long so we walked up to order at the window. Ordered a couple of donuts and some Lottery tickets. Customers kept driving up so this place keeps busy. The donuts were so fresh and delicious without being to over sweetened.“
“Tried their classic chocolate donuts, they were really tasty but be cautious as it's all highly processed sugar and just cause it tastes good doesn't mean it's good for body. Just once in a while is fine but don't get addicted cause this stuff is highly addictive lol. The workers were very nice and friendly.“
“Mine and my husbands go-to donut shop. If I go to any other donut shop in the city it's because they're closed lol they have everything you can think of & more. my go to item is the #13 breakfast croissant and a Thai Tea smoothie with boba the service is always friendly and fast and always welcomed with a smile. Shoutout to the Lucky Family“
“I'm a visiter to this area. We ran into this place totally because of the good Google reviews. And the only thing I can say is their donuts deserve every star on Google review. My kid loves donuts, and he ranked their the best donuts ever over all others. For the first time, he even compared the texture between donuts to demonstrate how good they are. Sorry, I'm not a donut guy. That's all I can say.“
“Best breakfast sandwich ever and I love the donuts! They also happen to be the kindest people ever. Such a perfectly ran business. Heading to get my number 9 now with everything .Vegetarian options: Can create vegetarian meals from their menu quite easy.“
“I've been craving a breakfast burrito for a while and decided to jump onto Yelp and see what local businesses I had in my area. King's Donut appeared and seeing it was less than 5 minutes from my house, I decided to drive over. I chose their sausage breakfast burrito. When asked if I was okay with every ingredient included in my burrito, I agreed to everything, especially the salsa. To my surprise, the burrito also comes with guacamole, at no hidden charge. Overall, it's a delicious burrito.“
“Great quality donuts the building is magical the people are graceful and sincere they work hard and are very kind call out to them at the front desk if no one is there, God bless. Been going here since high-school lov the sandwichs better than McDonald's.“
