“Finally stopped in this place after thinking it would be closed on Easter Sunday. Hole in the wall hunters cafe off the Golden Chain (49) highway between Mariposa and Ahwahnee. Fun outdoorsman decor and good service. The cafe has been awarded locally for Best Breakfast on numerous occasions, but we found the food good, not great, especially for the small portions and outrageous prices (over $50 breakfast for just 2 people). I'd stop in again to "chew the fat" with the owner, a fellow outdoorsman, and supprtive community supporter. I'm just not sure I'd have a meal. YMMV“
“The desserts were delicious. We got a lemon bar, toffee bar and chocolate chip cookies. All were great with the cookie being our favorite. I also got a candle for $20 which is made by an artist who sells her product in this shop. I love the opportunity to support small businesses.“
“Since moving to the Yosemite area from LA I miss good Mexican cooking but got a taste of it today at The Oasis. My husband stops in on his route and raves about the breakfast burritos. (They offer 2 sizes,) Today I visited for the first time and tried the Chile Rellenos. The generously portioned dish was great, perfectly cooked just how I like it! The owner Araceli showed me the cute little park area they're developing right next to the cafe for parties, BBQs etc. She has plans for this corner! Thanks Oasis, I look forward to returning to try more of your delicious food. The Oasis owner Araceli showing me an Old Rose. The Oasis owner Araceli showing me an Old Rose. “So thankful for High Country Café and store. *The special people who work there. *The healthy, organic food served in the cafe and the grocery section. * High quality supplements. * Hard to find (around here) bulk bin items. * Cheery, clean atmosphere. * Quick response when I make a special order. * Their commitment to recycling, avoiding wastefulness and a lot more. Are all noticed and much appreciated. Great job High Country!“
