“Cool little bar, not a lot of room, but I think this is the type of spot you pop in on the way some where else so not a lounge type of bar. We met up with friends here before a concert and its was nice. Bar tenders were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of while we were there. I ordered an espresso martini, superb! Almost got another one but didn't wanna go overboard before the concert.“

“It is a dive bar that's cash only.
No judgement for morning or midday drinking. You can disappear for an hour or two before you face the world. Not a family place and not a restaurant. Dimly lit and cozy.
Id definantly go back again if I get down this way.“

This bar nightclub in Highland Park hosts a wide array of events including karaoke nights, drag shows, live band concerts, and more.
I attended an event on a Sunday, Bear Garden: LABussy, a vendor mart and body positive event. Drink are good and the signature cocktails are unique for sure. There's a bunch of seating inside and some limited seating on their patio.
They open at 5pm daily, but for Bear Garden they opened a little earlier at 4pm. So events have covers, but they're reasonable.
Restrooms are clean and easy to access.
Parking is street and can be a journey as they like to say. Service is great and the bartenders are outstanding.

The place is very cozy with a nice terrace where you can smoke while having your drink. I had a great time!

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. WE'LL HAVE A FEW BEERS AND PLAY ON THEIR DART MACHINES. IT'S A REALLY GREAT ENVIRONMENT IN THERE ALL THE TIME. “Great venue for concerts! It’s relatively small allowing you to be closer to the artist on stage. There’s a bar, seats available and an outside patio area. Speakers can get super loud so I’d suggest bringing earplugs if you have sensitivity. Just saw Author & Punisher this week 🦾 and Youth Code earlier this year ⚙️ 🙌“

“I performed a Blues concert there this week in their large music hall & library with bar which adjoins a very busy bar room playing old school
recorded R&B. It's a lively and fun place to hang. There's cocktails, beer, music and pool tables. A diverse friendly crowd. They let you Postmate or bring food. There's even an outdoor patio.“

“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“
“We brought our food truck here on the 4th of July and it was fabulous. The owner Big Tod is the Boss and he's a gracious man. We appreciate this community-oriented dive bar. Change is good, drinks are strong, billiards are fun, and the audio system is tight AF.“

“I came here on a whim after wanting to avoid the crowds at Zebulon. Honestly this bar is a hidden gem, and thank god it hasn’t been flipped upside down and turned into condos. The outside is a neon lit heaven from the 1960s. You enter and the staff are warm from the get go. There is a left and a right side to the bar: The right side is a sizable dance floor complete with a gigantic disco ball, Dj booth, a couple leather booths, and panther sculptures. They played disco and funk this very day and the crowd was diverse and cool. The left side is the bar where there a probably 5 or six extremely comfortable retro leather booths. They have a great tequila selection but you can also order a $4 Tecate. My kind of joint full of vibe that i can’t wait to try again!“
