“This place is not called el Piquin Mexican Grill anymore. it’s called Taqueria La Fogata and since they have changed owners. the food has been so much better and more delicious than ever before. everything on the menu is great especially their chicken that they specialize in. every type of food from breakfast lunch and dinner. They never disappoint and always great outdoor seating and staff is wonderful. ????“

“Wow, this place is very good, their snacks or snacks are very delicious and the lady who serves is very kind and friendly. That should be all the owners or staff who serve. Wow, I was surprised. There is a lot of parking. There is also water in large bottles of Mexican sweets of all kinds.“

A regular size is good for two people. There's plenty of tables, although they're shared with the other restaurant in the dining area. It's located inside the grocery store.“

“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.

I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.

The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.

The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.“

“I was a JA kid in the 80s and 90s. After CYC basketball games and Tamiya Mini 4WD races, my family would head to the third floor of Yaohan and enjoy the great flavors of Hana-Ichimonme. This was, hands down the best ramen in downtown back then, and I can't wait to taste it once this pandemic is over. Okaerinasai!“

“Pretty good bingsu! Not the best I've had but not bad either. We had the hojicha flavor and it was refreshing. The almond croissant was nothing special though, kind of tasted like it had been sitting there for a while so I don't recommend it. Probably stick with the bingsu and drinks.“

The snow ice has a great texture and they let u have two included toppings! Every time I come, they fully load your cup. Even if you order a small size. “The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.“

“been here several times, best bingsu spot in the greater area. always get the mango (best when summer season for peak ripeness). thought the cinnamon toast was alright, the flavors without syrup can't really compete though. the chocolate crepe cake was also okay, though for the price you should just get bingsu.“

I drove up from Orange County and, the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an ALOHA and watched the place get packed. It was a perfect place to meet up with friends! Spam & eggs with rice for breakfast hit the spot. Malasadas are fresh and warm! Then they added live musicians playing Hawaiian music and I didn't want to leave. Highly recommend and plan to return again!“

They always try to introduce something new and refreshing that anyone can and will enjoy! Whenever I have entered this store, they always have fresh corn for an esquite or fresh fruit for hot summer days. “I came in on 12/27 around 2pm and there were 2 guys working ( Anthony and someone else I didn't catch his name tag)They were dealing with a crazy customer who was yelling at them, talking down at them over a small upcharge they didn't want to pay for. They took care of the rest of us in line while still handling her which I really appreciate. They didn't deserve that treatment and still kept a smile on their face. They kept a good attitude despite someone being rude and entitled!“
