“The woman who manages the restaurant is a very hard worker and kind, it's obvious she's dedicated to the job. The dining area and restrooms
are always very clean there's a older gentleman who does a wonderful job keeping the place clean. Even when this restaurant gets very busy between the drive thru, curbside pickup and dine in customers they are able to complete orders in a reasonable amount of time and very seldom do they make mistakes on orders. Which I greatly appreciate because my order is pretty specific and I'm on a limited amount time during my lunch break. Anyone passing through the area and trying to decide whether to stop at the Arcata or McKinleyville location. I highly recommend stopping by this one to grab a bite to eat while driving through the area

“this place is great and normally I love everything, the Mom and Pop vibes and the old fashioned style shop. the donuts are extremely good. and even though yesterday, the lady who works the counter was frowning at me the whole time, I still recommend them. but she really needs to stop that, it made me uncomfortable. the man working with her was polite, and she was saying polite things and being polite.. just with a look on her face that made me feel like I had inconvenienced her by coming in. heck, I still recommend them, everyone can have a bad day and a surly staff can be amusing.“

“I fly from Boston to Arcata to visit family, and this spot is by far my favorite place to grab fresh coffee. The staff is amazing, and everything is fresh. The coffee is so good when I'm out here, It's part of my daily routine. Out of the 20 or so stands and shops around the county, this is the go-to. Thank you for the morning coffees this past week!!! “Loved this little coffee place. Excellent coffee & donuts. But your cup lids are terrible. Spilled very hot coffee multiple times on myself & so did my.elderly mom. Traveling through & literally covered in coffee. That was extremely hot!!!“

“Very good comfort food for breakfast. I had the lighter roast drip coffee and loved the smell. The avocado toast is very good as well as the hard boiled farm eggs. The coffee pairs very well with the avocado toast. The two together were comfort magic. They have pastries as well - I had the peanut butter cookie and the ginger molasses cookie. They were both very good and also paired well with the coffee, especially the peanut butter cookie. Without coffee, I found the ginger molasses cookie far surpassed the peanut butter cookie in flavor and texture. That’s not saying the peanut butter cookie isn’t also very good. This cafe is inside the Vance Hotel. Did Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration move across the US and change his line of work. 😜😜 The ambiance of this place is laid back/chill and conducive to reading a good book, remote work, and study. “I didn’t want to go to Starbucks for my matcha. This place was recommended by a colleague. Great place to visit an old town, Eureka. Good matcha and great small café vibe! I like to check out small businesses when possible. Music had a nice chill vibe for either relaxing or getting stuff done on the laptop.“

“My husband and I visited Jitter Bean Coffee Co at the end of August. We're actually from Van Buren, AR! He was adamant about visiting this local coffee chain. We both ordered an iced white mocha! I thought that it was good. The inside of the building was clean and had a little seating space. It had big windows with a great view Arcata Square. If I was a student at the local university, I would consider studying there! I thought that the staff were friendly and that they finished our order promptly. I think it is a great place to get an afternoon ice coffee - - - that is what we did!“
