“Excellent visit. Early in the day, I had the Ahi Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh, tasty, and fantastic. Being right on the ocean I expected the quality of the fish to be top notch. I was not disappointed. My dish was freshly made at the time of order, rummy, the presentation was top notch, and I was immensely pleased. We returned for dinner and the experience was more of the same. My wife got the vegan ramen and I got the spicy wings. Yep, goodness to go. We ate while watching the sunset”

“Good pizza, great outdoor seating. there’s a bar up above that also serves coffee and a trattoria next door if you’d like to sit down for a big meal. It feels like a must for a pit stop in Mendocino.”

“Amazing atmosphere with the best coffee! The staff is awesome and they will make you the best chai latte, espresso or americano you've had in your life. The place beams with good energy and good vibes! Whether you’re inside enjoying great music by the wood stove or outside on the sunny deck overlooking the garden, the atmosphere is always perfect, just like their coffee!”

“Best baked goods around - especially the filled pastries with blackberry or blueberry with cream cheese. Perfectly soft on the inside and crispy, flaky outside! The Mexican food not so much as our “taco” was over cooked, dried out chicken with onion on a disintegrating corn tortilla - no salsa offered. So will definitely rerun for the baked goods but not the tacos.”

“In a week, we ate here twice! Maybe again tomorrow on the way out of town. Fresh, delicious, unique recipes and great service. The baked goods are beyond wonderful and not grossly sweet like so many! Loved this little gem. Two thumbs up! ❤”

“My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Trillium on Aug 11 and it was one of the highlights of our experience in Mendocino. The hostess that night had an amazing bouquet of flowers waiting for my wife at our table. She was incredibly thoughtful and my wife can’t stop raving about them. Next, the service was welcoming, exceptional and timely. Finally, the food was prepared perfectly. And the star of the night was the coffee! Wow. Thank you to the staff for creating a wonderful atmosphere and experience for a special milestone in our lives!”

“We stopped in at Frankie’s for dinner and dessert. The folks behind the counter were very friendly. Ample seating available, it was especially pleasant outside on the patio. Our pizza was delicious and perfectly crispy. The ice cream was a great way to end our meal with a sweet treat.”

“I enjoyed every meal of our dinners at Ravens. The food is creative, delicious, and attractively presented. Most nights my daughter and I each got a small plate, followed by a large plate. One night we even indulged in dessert. The food is rich in vegetables and many other healthy ingredients, and is low oil and not fried. Our favorite small plate was the kale stack, and favorite large plate was the sea palm. As we roamed nearby parks, we were quite attuned to all the sea palms growing on rocks near shore. Ravens sources their sea palm locally, so we might have been looking at someone's future dinner. The portions are generous, and every night we took enough food back to our room for lunch the next day.”

“Best fish & chips I've ever had, hands down. The fish was FRESH and falling apart in my hands, and being battered & fried didn't hide the taste at all like it sometimes can. It came with tartar sauce and malt vinegar, and thick fries like steak fries. Our group was starving after our Skunk Train outing and this really hit the spot. Loved the outdoor seating (the smells of the fire pit & ocean together brought back happy beach camping memories) and several little kids in our seating area were thrilled & delighted by the pushy seagulls begging for scraps, which was fun to watch. Five happy stars from me. :)”

“La Palapa is a wonderful spot for fresh, flavorful Mexican cuisine with excellent service. I tried the fresh ceviche cooked in lime juice, and it was absolutely delicious—the fish was incredibly fresh, and the produce was crisp and vibrant, making every bite refreshing and perfectly balanced.

One detail I really appreciated was the variety of hot sauces available at the tables, allowing guests to customize the heat and flavors to their liking. The guest service is outstanding; the staff takes the time to explain the menu thoroughly and makes great recommendations.

They also offer a special menu with a wide variety of options, including excellent vegetarian choices, and gluten free which is a huge plus. Overall, La Palapa delivers great food, welcoming service, and a thoughtful dining experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back. 🌶️✨”

“Tall Guy Brewing is hands down the most enjoyable sit down/lounging family friendly brewery in All of California(not an understatement). The music, kindness of the bartenders and relaxed environment formulates the absolutely perfect evening place for my son and I to sit down, have dinner, listen to music and make new friends. I would love to see such a magical place expand in any way possible. The world needs more of this.”
