The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable plus the ambiance and the bay views are incredible. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Mill Valley. Be prepared to sing Karaoke and dance on Friday nights.“

“I’ve been frequenting Richmond Republic since the week it opened and I’m not sure I’d live here if it didn’t exist. There’s a great rotating beer selection and the food is delicious. I especially like the burgers and salads, and the fries and tots are cooked to perfection. I love all the bartenders, especially the Tuesday crew. Make sure to get an Underberg before heading home!“

“We found one of the best kept dining 'secrets' in Marin county via KQED 'Midnight eats' . We read multiple reviews on Petes before taking a chance and decided to bring our 90 year old Father in Law for his belated birthday dinner. Well, we were not sure what we were in for...but we all had a BLAST!The food is delicious, the weeknight specials were recited by the super friendly female bar-back (what ELSE do you serve?), and our server was attentive and on-point. The place is laid back in an industrial area of San Rafael, NOT PRETENTIOUS, and super casual (wear jeans and a tee!). After all, you can eat at the bar or at the few tables scattered around (its dark in there like a Vegas lounge). There is one side for eating/drinking; the other is for cards/poker games. Lighting is dim, but the service is warm, friendly and neighborly. My FIL dug into the Prime Rib Special (thursdays only) and within the hour, he polished off the entire plate of food. The slab meat filled the plate along with creamed spinach, baked potato and was delicious, melt-in-your-mouth. Our compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff! My sisters in Law had 2 burgers and raved about the fries/Onion rings, and were thrilled. The meal was great and one of the BEST VALUES IN MARIN COUNTY. Dad was impressed, and it was a 90th birthday to remember. Thank you Petes and the friendly down-to-earth staff.“

“10/10 - excellent smash burger with a double Impossible patty (can be made vegan, or cow meat also available). Fries sold separately, but were crunchy, hot and fluffy on the inside. Beer selection better than a lot of pubs, got a good stout that wasn’t just Guinness. “Joe is great. After our Uber drive dropped us in the wrong place, Joe would tell us how to get there, he took us there. It was only at the end of the block, but meant the world to us. He wouldn’t accept a tip, so went back to have a beer after dinner. He remembered our name. He is the true meaning of customer service and I’ve told all of my friends to go see him at the Showdown. “Very cool chill environment. Bartender/waiter had great hospitality. Small Mexican restaurant inside the bar offering a delicious menu with cheap eats. We tried the elotos, berria tacos, and buffalo wings...all was delicious. Definitely a place to repeat!!“

“The burger wasn't too bad and if I ever had a chance to go back I would ask to caramelize the onions. The portion size was a bit to much for myself and have never been a fan of throwing pickles on top of the bun. Just feel like it changes the taste of the first bite. Overall it wasn't o bad but I can't see how it justifies the price. The place was gorgeous inside that matched the appearance of the hotel itself it was in.“

“The restaurant is within the Marine's Memorial Club & Hotel, which is situated two blocks from Union Square. It is on the last floor and have a very nice view on dowm town San Francisco. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and the prices very reasonable, especially for San Francisco.“
