“We visited Frak's Cafe last Sunday for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the all-meat omelet, and my girlfriend enjoyed the patty melt. Both meals were delicious, exceeding our expectations. The service at Frak's Cafe was exceptional; the staff was incredibly friendly and contributed to the welcoming, local ambiance. It's a gem of a place, and we're so glad we decided to stop by. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere.“
“I wish they'd open back up sooner! Buddy o' mine & I went the other day to have a drink and a burger and were told by some locals it might be a while before re-opening... Hotel looks absolutely stunning from the outside though“
“High end eating in a small town of wine country. Would happily return if in the area. Full cocktail menu. Many local wines. Friendly staff. I got the pork chop which I normally wouldn't get out, but it was so delicious. Great mustard seasoning with baked apples on top with a plate of spaetzle. Great after a day of wine tasting to refuel.“
“considering the place updated, or fancy and painted in horrible colors the food was surprisingly amazing. Wasn't fond of having to stand in line to order and pay before getting served and then wait to be seated, very strange way of doing things, but the food was amazing...“
“This place is amazing! I have been here 5 times now and every single time I go they never disappoint! Extremely friendly and welcoming staff and you guys have the best food ever! Great prices as well! I’m so happy they have a restaurant now ❤️“
“We ate outside on the patio and had a very relaxing meal. The mushroom bruschetta was amazing, as were the grilled shrimp. They have a great selection of local beers and wines, and a killer 20 year old tawny port. Our favorite dish was the mixed berry cobbler.“
“We inhaled our sandwich so fast i didn’t get a picture… and that never happens with me ?A casual, lovely, cute lunch joint. We were just driving through the area on our way to Lake Tahoe and happened to pull in, but I saw a whole bunch of regulars and all the sandwiches/snacks i saw people getting looked amazing. We had the big bravo which was a well balanced spicy Italian. Very fresh and the sourdough was delicious. Toasted crisp and still bite-soft inside.Came with a side of potato salad which hubs also loved. It’s hard to impress us with sandwiches given i’m from New York and hubs is from Los Angeles but we liked this place a lot and would def come back.. maybe even an intentional stop - to eat here again. The doggo in the garden (leashed and in the shade) is also soo cute and friendly. Here’s the video i got of her :))“
“My favorite is the chicken marsala. This time we got the short ribs which were delicious with creamy polenta and honey ? carrots. Yum! The fried calamari was disappointing, definitely not as good as last time (last time they were great) seemed like we got more breading than actual calamari and the sauces weren't as good either.Could have just been an off night.. We will definitely go back because the service is always excellent and good food, and it's cheerful.“
“Top notch establishment in all regards! A round of applause to the Chef and kitchen team, the menu options are broad yet cohesive and the execution of the food is exquisite! We enjoyed every single item from the soup of the day to the entrees to the delectable desserts! The atmosphere is classy in a casual way, feel free to dress up or just be comfortable. They have a fun bar area with a TV and plenty of great bourbon and other spirits, the menu of cocktails is a great mix of custom, classic & creative. And their dining area includes a lovely fireplace, mountain style architecture with distressed brick, love it!Service is fast, friendly and enjoyable, from the hostess, to the servers to the bar tenders, great all around!!“
“Wish I had taken pictures. The food is amazing. You get top quality food and a lot of it. The size of their sandwiches are huge. The deep-fried zucchini and green beans are amazing. Highly recommend. Great service and overall a nice place to eat.“
“The food was good! Service was also good, I would just advise sitting in the dining room instead of the bar seating if there is a game on or something. :) the bar side is a whole different world. I had the chicken Alfredo, and it was great!“
“My family has been going to Backroads for many years. We live in El Dorado County, and we drive over to Sutter Creek just so we can enjoy this wonderful haven of food and comfort at Sinas Backroads. Exceptional quality! Thank you for your friendly atmosphere too!“
“Went with my husband on my birthday and really liked the ciders and food. It was late so we were so happy to find something open that was still serving food! it made my birthday the best night! They said they are dog friendly so next time we plan to bring our dogs and hang out in the back by the fire. So glad they opened and have music as well! Also I let them know I couldn't find them on yelp yet so hopefully people are finding them.“
“Dropped in for a late night to go. They were closing in 30min. No attitude. All smiles, very accommodating.Had onion rings and an IPA while waiting, DELISH! Breading sticks to the perfectly crunchy rings, steam, but not soggy, minimal oil. BEST Ranch dipping sauce EVER!Grabbed the steak sand: tender, melt in your mouth goodness with a hint of veg instead of a side salad turing your sandwich roll into a soaked, disintegrating pile of mush. Have the garlic chips. No regrets! Forgot how much I love this place.“
“Very happy with our last several visits. Everything has been fresh, flavorful, on time and service is good! It's a little bit pricey so when we have a large group, we go to Perko's. But the Highway House has a cleaner atmosphere and fresher food.“
“Gooney's Bar is an oasis and welcome mirage in the relatively deserted Foothill region. Not only is the cabin-like decor of this bar/restaurant very aesthetically pleasing and instantly welcoming, the bathrooms are so clean, well-kept and sanitized you will wonder if you stumbled into a medical plaza rather than a bar. Owing to the gregarious and attentive owner, as well as the young, but very professional bartenders, Gooney's has created the comfort and atmosphere of a dive bar, without the grime and occasional hiccups that often plague those establishments. The food is varied and delicious and the fairly-priced craft beers and cocktails are always spot on. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, I can promise a great experience and you might just leave with a new friend or two.“
“I'm back again!!The Chicken Fried steak, country potatoes with bell peppers!! Thank you for serving the food hot and seasoned right. I would give 6 stars if I could!First time here. It was the 4th of July so I was ready to wait.My order was wrong. No big deal. It was reserved Fast and the food was hot. I look forwards to coming back soon.“
“This place is a hidden gem to those of us from outside the area! My husband is from this town and anytime we go to visit his family, I love coming here. We got burgers to go for a soccer game one time and when we took our first bite, my husband and I literally stopped and looked at each other in surprise - do you know how hard it is to find a good cheeseburger? It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and I feel like it was even at a medium temp, which is surprising since most places overdo it and make them well done.We were there recently and I got to try their new Cambodian coffee and breakfast. We have a large family so I was able to see over easy , over medium, over hard, scrambled eggs, and an omelet ... Everything was cooked just as it was ordered, except one of the over-hards wasn't quite as hard as they would have liked. Their Cambodian coffee was delicious and reasonably priced, maybe a little too sweet for my taste, but I don't have much of a sweet tooth... Though it didn't stop me from downing the whole thing. ?The owners and staff are friendly and a well-known part of the community there. I got to see people come in and out over the course of a few hours and everyone was greeted with a smile and seemed to be on a first name basis. This place also has a Facebook page, if you have a minute you should check it out, they've been making these shorts and when you see them make their omelets, you can tell that they pride themselves on their craft, it's a beautiful thing. ❤️“
“Wow! We just happened into Renegade today, and I am so glad we did. The patio was super cute, and very dog friendly. I was also so excited to see how many good gluten free options there were...and they actually tasted good! Their wines are equally as delicious...my favorites were the Pinotage, Tempranillo, and Mixed Breed Red. The service was awesome, and everyone is super friendly. We will definitely be back on our next trip!“
