“After almost 2 years returned to the Leger for a date night with my wife. Now, the new owners and the Management and Chef are what this town has needed to revive this treasure of a hotel and restaurant. The chef is a culinary dreamer and achiever who seems to be on the path of culinary enlightenment at the Hotel. All courses were layered with a passion and love for food that the Leger has never seen before. I loved the old chefs but they were armature at best of home BBQ kings. Johnathan is a Chef that has the gift that 99% of chefs wish they had. I recommend setting a reservation for a private dinner for 2 and let them take the wheel to create an experience, not just some dinner. Last night was a full circle moment that could have gone horribly wrong, but, not one thing can be complained about nor changed. A perfect evening and there will be more to come.“

Not only did they move our table to a better location for small talk after a request but accommodated us in every way . The food was absolutely to die for. “This strings is simply the place to go, not a rushed experience, not alot of noise, very eloquent with very good hospitality service! The food was amazing, the soup and breadsticks so tasty. The salad was on point! I had the lasagna and boy was it tasty…the red sauce was really good, we had a big group with us celebrating a birthday party and the waitress did an amazing job. This is the place to spend your time & your money! I will definitely be back someday, sometime. Thank you for the great experience!“

“I have been be a loyal customer of Fusion since they opened. The service has always been the best. The owner is fantastic especially when my kiddo was young. One of the grill cooks is one my favorite people and just a genuinely good person all the way around. I have gotten menu items and they aren't bad. But I prefer the buffet because I have that down to a science now. This will be one of my most missed places when I move. And I can promise nothing will compare. “I have been all over New England and around California in search of the best clam chowder. I have finally found it in our little gem spot in Sutter Creek, Hotel Sutter. The clams were fresh and perfect texture. Not a fishy taste at all. The nice chunky potatoes were perfectly cooked and perfectly porpotioned! Definitely a MUST try before the season is over.“

“UPDATE May 15, 2026:
I'm so glad I came back to give this course another chance. The course is once again being very well maintained, the fairways and greens are absolutely awesome! My boss and I will be back on a more regular basis as this course is absolutely beautiful!!! The only area of concern would be a lot of the cart paths are extremely rough and could use some attention. Overall, this was an absolutely great course, especially if you're tired of all the flat land courses in the valley.

POST FROM 2023:
It has been a while since I played this course and man has it not been well maintained. The greens are absolutely awful with dead patches on about half of them. So much so that you can't get a read on your put due to the drops and rises. I spoke to the young lady in the pro shop afterwards about it and didn't get any an apology for the condition of the course. This was once one of my favorite courses as it's 6 miles from my house but, I won't be back any time soon since there are so many other courses in the area that ar well maintained and have better pricing. I wouldn't mind paying their price if the course was kept the way it ahould be. I had invited 3 colleagues to play and spent most of the apologizing. Thoroughly disappointed.“

“Had eggs benedict with side of fruit. The eggs were beautiful and runny on the inside like they’re meant to be. Took a minute for our order to be taken, but that’s fine. Always love the views, coffee is good and they offer for more coffee. Don’t have any complaints and I’ve been here several times over the years.“

“My dad enjoys Chinese food as do I. My husband is not a huge fan. Some of the best we've had. My dad was quite pleased. My husband had chicken wings which he said were very tasty. We all enjoyed the pork chow mein. Dad loved the sweet and sour pork and my sesame chicken was tasy with just the right amount of heat. Enjoyable meal, with great portion sizes. Well done.“
