“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. This bar nightclub in Highland Park hosts a wide array of events including karaoke nights, drag shows, live band concerts, and more.
I attended an event on a Sunday, Bear Garden: LABussy, a vendor mart and body positive event. Drink are good and the signature cocktails are unique for sure. There's a bunch of seating inside and some limited seating on their patio.
They open at 5pm daily, but for Bear Garden they opened a little earlier at 4pm. So events have covers, but they're reasonable.
Restrooms are clean and easy to access.
Parking is street and can be a journey as they like to say. Service is great and the bartenders are outstanding.

“Amazing place, great music, great environment. Three pool tables with plenty of space to get a good shot. Local favorite, definitely a place that make memories. Cash only so be ready. Plenty of rooms for parties and tvs all around. And my favorite of all they have A PARKING LOT!! Amazing people love Cindy, amazing times she’ll definitely make you feel at home.“

“This bar is pretty chill. I've come in a couple of times with my man-friend to play pool. We usually stop by the bar to grab a couple beers first and the bartenders are always quick to greet us and take our order. Drinks are reasonably priced. There are 2 pool tables in the back of the bar where you can add yourself to a list and get in on some games. One of the times we went there was live music playing. The atmosphere is pretty chill and inviting and for the most part the bar was clean overall. We definitely plan to come back!“

“We brought our food truck here on the 4th of July and it was fabulous. The owner Big Tod is the Boss and he's a gracious man. We appreciate this community-oriented dive bar. Change is good, drinks are strong, billiards are fun, and the audio system is tight AF.“

Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible. Has a lowered section of the bar just for handicapped. Bathrooms are also wheelchair accessible. I spent 8 months in a wheelchair and was accommodated excellently“
“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“

“Karoeke night was Fun! They have a fancy way of scheduling their list to sing (screen recording included). The bar has a pool table, chill vibes, super friendly staff (cash only) and overall friendly patrons.Oh and Olga's Cocina food truck stopped by and their food is amazing! I didn't get a picture of the food I ate it too fast lol.“

“OK. The staff are awesome. If I’m in Echo Park, OBVIOUSLY, I am gonna stop by Little Joy. Sometimes Tina DJs and she plays stuff like China by Red Rockers and that is just amazing. But what keeps me coming back is Wednesday night karaoke with KJ Jonathan. Every Wednesday from 10:30pm to 1:30am, KJ Jonathan brings his awesome, sweet, hilarious sensibilities to Little Joy and makes all your karaoke dreams come true. Like karaoke? You owe it to yourself to call in sick on Thursdays and make it happen. DO IT.“
“Fun place to go after a game. No cover charge. Fun atmosphere. DJ kept it fun. Has a pool table in the back. Also dodger and LA significant/historical photos. There was a bartender that wasn’t as friendly. But not gonna ding the place. Just get helped by the other bartender“
