“The cider and the staff were fantastic. Had someone sit near us saying they were fighting a cold so felt had to extra sanitize, but thats not their fault. We did miss the entrance and hand to u turn, but we found it on the second try. I love that they have board games.“

“What a wonderful experience at Deer Hill Vineyards. A post Christmas gift to our wonderful friends. Contacted Bill to arrange a date and time. He was quick to respond. Very excited to try a Vineyard so close to home that we didn’t know anything about. And, wow, it was such a beautiful tasting room, with a Bill telling us all about his property and how he got into wine making. Also telling us so much info about the wine industry. Learned more here than anywhere else. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We also got a great charcuterie board. Thank you Bill so very much. We had the best time.“

“Very lovely place and who what have thought right here in our very own backyard right in Castro Valley. I had an amazing time tasting 6 delicious wines for only $10 can't beat that and they even have a slushy wine at the end. Great atmosphere and rustic country scenery and great family own friendly staff. Keith's the wine maker does an excellent job in capturing the true essence of the grapes grown on their property. The steel barrel Chardonnay wow what a lovely super crisp wine to enjoy on a hot summer day. I got to take my shoes off and sit with my feet on the grass and watch the hummingbirds. It was all this single mama needed and of course a lovely glass of wine. Come out and take a little break from everything. Kid friendly and dog friendly. 12pm to 4pm every other weekend. Yay!!!“

“Love everything about Shadowbrook winery. It's a hidden gem tucked right in the Northgate neighborhood. The ambience is stunning just like or better than any other upscale winery in Napa. This last visit we had dinner sharing the special short rib, the Burrata appetizer and the avocado salad and everything was delicious. Love that you can purchase just a glass or a bottle or even a beer if you're non-wine drinker. It's our go to spot when we have friends come in from out of town.“
