“I ordered 2 create your own bowl, the fish is really good but their portions aren't satisfying. The fish portions are good you get 2 choices but the rice is like nothing. They give you a choice between double rice or rice and seaweed salad, id recommended the double rice but then you get no seaweed salad. Compared to other poke places, they don't offer topping like the crunchy onion or sesame seeds. Overall it taste good and the scenery is really comforting, the worker seemed a bit distracted or annoyed though.“

“First timer today, needed a quick dinner after a workout and a bowl from here sounded like a good idea. Parking seemed like it would be an issue, luckily I nabbed a 15 minute spot right nearby. I liked the clean environment and the build your own bowl concept. I got a regular size bowl with brown and white rice, mostly tofu but a scoop of shrimp. After all the toppings I chose (edamame, seaweed salad - yum! Etc.), this turned out to be a substantial size dinner that I might have leftovers from). The base marinade and all the choices of toppings were very nice, and everything came together quite well and tasty. For just a little over $20 I felt this bowl was worth the time and money to get. Service was friendly and options were explained to me clearly as the bowl was being made. I plan on returning to this place!“

“Cute lil place where I grabbed a bowl after my dogs Vet appt. next door. Have vegan options with tofu and employee was very nice. Seems like she could use some help. I got a sauce mix of sweet and sour with teriyaki which was super good! :)“

“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

“Love the sushi here it’s the only place I get sushi from. Well worth the price, plate feels loaded. The flavor just melts away and brings me back to Hawaii (my happy place). The staff are always so polite and doesn’t take long to get your order. There is tables inside and outside, it’s really nice and the vibes are always great. Thank you for having the best sushi in town!!!“

“I really enjoy Poke places that provide a lot of options for different customers. I was really happy to see that they had mango, pineapple, and their spicy krab is fire! The poke was cut nicely, sometimes poke to too chunky, their poke was cut precisely and you get the right amount with every bite. Additionally, there were a lot of sauce choices. If I’m in the area, I’m definitely coming back!“

“Good protein options. I went at a not too busy time of day so I also got to quietly sit and enjoy the meal. I only had the PYOP so I can only say that I enjoyed that, but I am sure everything else on the menu is good as well“

“This was my First time attending Poke Doke!
Upon entering the staff greeted me made me aware of what was not available and when it would be which was just a few moments. Big thumbs up for communicating to your customers Effectively. I ordered a regular bowl of brown rice with three protein(tuna, salmon, and shrimp) some toppings the mild ponzu sauce eel sauce and spicy mayo, all I was missing was the avocado, but this was definitely so good to me! <3
The store did not have a stinky fish smell or any bathroom smell. The restaurant was clean the staff was nice and the food didn’t have any weird or awkward taste. The sauces have so much flavor set the bowl off. I’ll be back!“

“This Chiven Teriyaki bowl was delicious! Great portion, fresh vegetables, very good flavor — and what I loved the most… the chicken was freshly cooked for me right when I ordered. The price was also great, only $11 for a healthy and tasty meal. The staff was very kind and patient ☺️ Thank you so much. I’ll definitely be back to try other flavors.“

“True Hawaiian Poké. No fluffy toppings, the actual stuff you will find on the Islands. Octopus Poké on Tuesdays. Menu changes from day to day depending on what the boats bring in...and, yes, the guys are actually from Hawai'i.“

“The ramen is delicious, but if you're thinking of adding on broccolini skip it. They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. I feel like if you're paying $20 for a bowl of ramen you should get what you pay for“

“I got a lobster with huge worm inside. I don't want to post the photos because that's just ocean life. However i do believe a better inspection could've been done before allowing the sale. They made it right and simply offered a replacement, they still triumph the other local shops.“

“Let me tell you why we loved this pokes:

1. They have more than 10 options of proteins and you can choose how many scoops you want. My favorite one is tuna.
2. They have 7 different sauces. I chose Fire Loki and it was on point.
3. They mix the protein with the sauce at the moment they are making the poke.
4. They have 17 toppings. I had all of them in my poke!
5. The food is really fresh.
6. And the guy was really patient with us considering I’m a very indecisive girl…

“Not quite like they make it in Japan, but not bad! It’s definitely over priced, but most things are these days. The noodles were a good size & texture and the right portion for me, but some ramen lovers might be left wanting more noods. The spicy miso broth was good and not too greasy and the meat had a delicious charred taste. The soft boiled marinated eggs were also surprisingly good. We also got the garlic edamame and some sushi.“

“Overall their poke is really good and their boba drink is good :) I just wish they kept their miso soup as an option since I felt that it was a huge inconvenience to remove it at the time I needed their soup the most and there wasn’t any explicit announcement about it too. It didn’t really help that it was on the menu and that they said they removed it as I wanted to order it.“

“New to the area and wanted to grab a quick bite. Considering the prices of the meals, this place really surprised me! Staff was friendly and food came in quicker than I thought (there were only two workers). If you’re craving sushi but don’t want to go all out on the bill, this is a good spot.“
